- SMC batteries 4s 9400mah battery packs for X maxx, traxxas 20t pinion, traxxas 46t spur, all stock esc & motor. Proline trencher tires pre mounted, traxxas light kit ( part#7885 for X MAXX ) traxxas stock radio. But I will change some things by next spring like servo, radio etc.

My experience with gearing up has been horrible with the xmaxx. Two blown motors, Max 6 esc going into thermal shut down. Before I started messing with the gears, both of my X-Maxx vehicles didn't have those issues. Bummer. I hope you are having better luck than me with that.
So far I had no issues maybe you geared it up to high. I'm doing no more than 52 to 54 miles per hour. If I go faster than that stuff will start to burn up.
@@BIGGBULLxxx What gearing are you using. I'm using 50/20t gearing and the last motor blew with 50/15 gearing with the 6s motor. Do you drive constantly or take breaks?

@@BIGGBULLxxx I think that I'm going to go back to 54/18 gearing since I never had issues with overheating an blown motors when I was running at that gearing TBH. 👍

Those wheels are a piece of art. What wheels are those? And do they come in that color or u sprayed em ?
Those are proline trenchers pre mounted for the X Maxx, I spray painted the rings with a can of orange color by krylon from Home depot at the time of purchase it was 4 dollars a can. I couldn't find the right color of orange dye so that's why I used paint. O&O

Yes I did see it for $599.00...but before they had it for $499.00. But I have a feeling that they will come out with the sbr with 2 spare tires, and a ford body just like king motor has done, but Losi will have a better looking paint schemes.

I do. Xmaxx becomes less reliable when gearing up 🙁
@@joseCalderon1976 that's why I don't gear up. I want to enjoy the instant torque and quick throttle response. Keeps temps lower too.
@@stevemt3422 After going with the Max 6 esc and 20/50 gearing with the stock motor I haven't had any issues over heating so far. Stock gearing doesn't have enough speed for me to rotate my X-Maxx on my ramps honestly. That's why I gear up personally.
How are those SMC 9400's holding up. Are they worth the investment?
Yes to me they are.... as with any lipo pack take care of them store them in storage mode ....over and out=oao

What kind of battery life with those batteries?
30 plus minutes due to the big tires smaller and lighter tires give you more run time. 🤗
