Yeah my son-in-law has the Traxxas x max cool truck not enough to work on
Pls can you make more vids with the Traxxas Trx 4
Kevin. How about a X-Max made of 100% upgrades?
Metal chassis through to metal diffs?
when people say they won't break it, it means that they're gonna be careful. if *YOU* say that you won't break it, *IT MEANS AN ENTIRE HARDCORE BASH SESSION*
@@Slikx666 I didn't know that a metal chassis for an Xmaxx existed so thanks have a good one
This guys enthusiasm is so infectious Lol đ
Give your * to him haha
Itâs like Christmas everyday!!! đđđđ
That's why I love online shopping
Based on how hard these hit, you should get a portable G-Force logger to put on them to see the forces they take!
Mine shakes the concrete at the skatepark when taking big landings I'd be super curious to see exactly how hard it's hitting the ground đđ
Kev: âIâm not trying to break any rcâ
Me: I donât think so đ
Is possible to sel on ebay, when you are 12 years old? I want to have a X-max tođ
Same
Same
you have to be 18 but you could ask your parents if you can do it in their name
I was thinking the same thing
How does the x maxx not break? It's so freaking heavy!
How nice are those aftermarket partsđ
Working on cars is almost as much fun as ripping themđ
I have buddies that hate working on their cars, I'm like what!!! That's one of the best parts!!! You ain't no real RC hobbyist! đ€š
Facts
@@rcvideos4k803 I hate it because itâs hard and time consuming for me. I just got started in the hobby, and I work on a kitchen table.
@@quarans08 after fixing your first part you will be like "that wasn't that bad I kinda see how that works now"
And basically once you have done repairs here and there around your car you will understand it as a whole not just see it as a car shell with a bunch of cables and parts and screws under it .... Instead you will see everything for what it is and how complex yet how interesting its become... Then the thoughts of wanting to upgrade your car and making it unique or more strong.. Or more fast even choosing a new body... Then painting it to your own taste .... Trust me you'll know what I mean.... Give it time đđŻ
Every time I run my Senton I image the differential working, the suspension, gears moving,m
M GC I already know most of the parts from CZcams, itâs probably different in person, tho. I want to make it brushless, and use metal gears because a pinion (or some gear) stripped. I canât even get the gearbox off, it just would not slide out without damage or hurting my self. I watched many videos. Each time I tried fixing something, one thing broke. First some links on the suspension, and then the gear. I hate the maintenance and fixing. Adding things like bumpers are fine with me, but most other things are just frustrating. I donât think I could even change shock oil. I have nothing except my table, and a screw set from the hobby store nearby. I just take it to the hobby store to fix it. Thankfully, some of the employees fix small parts free, like getting pivot balls in the links.
8:55 KILL POINT
+ 10:59 I always love it when an RC car drifts around without its front tires kissing the ground
With all those mods, that Xmaxx is a solid unit. Also, I think Ian knows you too well Kev.....or the situation too well.
Bruhhhh whats the part that you haven't broken yetđ Also hope that you don't treat your Lambo in this wayđ
Bro you obviously missed his last video đ he almost made his buddy destroy his pants đ đ© lol
Lol
Him: Off-road basher Lambo must be created
Ngl seems like a new and improved kev in this vid you seemed really happy
That 1 million sub energy is no joke đ
After 30 seconds I allready knew the xmaxx was going to the moon and going to get it now đ
Kevs the kind of uncle that gives you an expensive rc car and says
"Now you have fun with this and if it breaks, just tell me okay?"
And your just like: """ v """"
Thatâs why we love Kev, he tests and we reap the rewards, letâs see how they hold up. Good luck trealđ€đ»đorđ.
5:54 Be careful with that. I don't know if this is the case here, but some bearings can take axial load only in one direction (google "duplex bearings"). They are mounted in pairs so they can take axial loads from both directions. If you remove one from the pair, the other bearing simply won't be enough.
interesting really but why would they do that kind of bearing ?
@@relaxingmusic7301 Precisely because they are good at axial loads. You find them in applications where the major force is radial, but there is a significant axial component, such as conical gear wheel drives, where the gears naturally want to push away from eachother. Normal bearings that you might be familiar with from, say, widget spinners, are very good at radial loads but not at all suitable for substantial axial loads. There are also axial bearings, which instead of two rings with balls in between are two discs with balls in between. Those cannot take any radial load at all. And finally there are conical bearings which are good at both axial and radial forces, but the problem with them is that they fall apart when you take them out of an assembly. So if you put one of those on an RC car, when you change an axle the bearing is going to go all over the place.
On car wheels the axial force can be in both directions. Like if you turn one way it wants to push the wheel into the car, but if you turn the other it wants to rip the wheel off. Conical and angular bearings can take axial force only in one direction, which is why they're usually mounted in pairs.
Hope that helps, and hope I can still remember this stuff properly. College was 10+ years ago.
Crazy epic!! My xmaxx is stock but im loving yours.
Appreciate the tech tips.
Hey Kevin!
