- During the National Corvette Museum's 15th anniversary, Tom Peters unveiled the Corvette Stingray Concept car. It is a running show car as he drove it outside for better pictures.

I still think this corvette stingray concept looks WAY better than the one that they produced.... I wish they would have gone with this one, it looks so much more bad ass!
Ikr this car looks sleek and futuristic.. The production model looks kinda bland
The production model now always makes people say "I shoulda bought a Viper instead". Corvette for me is 1953-1982 and this 2009, extreme concept. The actual C7 production car looks more like it's trying to be an F type

Beautiful lines, everything flows. Too bad GM didn't use this design in their production vehicles they wouldn't have been able to sell them fast enough!

Corvette should have produced this as a limited number, looks better than any lambo. It still has the great Corvette shapes unlike the lambo's that look like they have been assembled by the left overs of a bunch of pieces of lego.
I hope they go to produce a new corvettevette like this concept !!!

Motor doesn't exactly matter. Styling is what makes a true car and style is what makes a real car enthusiast. Non car guys can talk about numbers all day, but it takes someone with a tasteful jazz eye to see lines and detail more fantastically than others

This is the most futuristic looking Corvette I have ever seen they need to start making most of these concept cars were in the 2000s the 21st century lets start building these concept cars now instead of the same old looking crappy designs every year

@username112256 automatic doors also have manual handles on the inside.
The car has a remote control guys , you press open before go to bad, and it's ready to hop in in the morning

@monkeychris123 I just read an article were they interviewed the director of new cars at GM. To sum it up he said Mid engine is absolutely not going to happen in the C7. But.... the new Corvette C7 is going to be modeled after this concept. But the exactly the same team who modeled the current camero off it's concept version. I don't know if you ever saw the concept Camero but they did a fantastic job of keeping all the cool lines as they could. So good new for us all
If you notice though, there is plenty of room to get inside even if the doors are not fully open.

I read recent interviews with Bob Lutz saying that in the future the Corvette will be a direct-injection, stratified charge, twin stage turbo boosted 2 liter four cylinder capable of 800 hp. I read an interview on Motor Trend where the Dodge CEO said similar prospects regarding their cars. I guess car makers aren't going to be messing around with V8s anymore. So I guess I'll enjoy my 2010 Camaro now before the whole revamping takes over.
I love how that guy is saying "your clear" to the driver when his windows are up.

Just think,Rich a mechanic on big rigs at at work owns a Viper, This style reminds me of this but better. If General Motors makes these were the common man, can afford to own but they can`t. Remember what Ford did with the Mustang when it first came out, it made history in the amount of money Ford Banked they made very affordable

Ha, its fun to watch concepts after the actual car came out. What if they made this as a c8, i would hope the doors open quicker, or allow u to open it manually also

@metaljar02 big and heavy?? since 1953 Corvette has revolutionized the concept of light cars. They were the first car to use a fully fiberglass body as opposed to steel. To this day, the entire body is fiberglass, very light. The only heavy thing is the motor.
