- The main issue with M2 Competition is the sound. Today we're going to attempt to fix it, with the Valvetronic BMW F87 M2 Competition Equal Length Valved Sport Exhaust System

This is a sensational video, thank you so much Cody!
dude i literally browsed your channel yesterday just in case i didn't miss anything. An aftermarket exhaust is definitely a great way to go compared to muffler delete.
Damn 👊🏻 thanks for the support man! Got more new content coming soon.
As a current f87 m2c owner, I will say in a world where every other youtuber is doing some G-series BMW, it's supremely refreshing to see someone making videos on this car!
I know I'm bummed about that too. I’m always looking for F series content and there really isn’t a lot out there. I’ve probably watched most videos about the m2, that are worth watching 😂
i agree g series is so dystopian too😭 big ass screen and no driver connection. don’t get me started on all the horribly designed new x series suvs
Been itching for more content Cody! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Sounds amazing, and great vid!
Great video! I love the wide format.
Awesome video Bro!!
Great quality as usual ❤😊
Welcome back Cody! Love your work.
Can you do a F80 vs G80 comparison video?
Thank you!
Great video. Sound definitely improved, but for me, I'm ok with the stock exhaust on mine.. other than the cow udder which is just inexcusable. But I won't pay just to get rid of that so I'll stay stock. Maybe I'll get ambitious and paint it black eventually, that helps a lot.
I have to say it does sound better. Maybe you should fix the other side. The intake. Eventuri intake would be 👌, but I know they are not cheap even here in the U.K.
Eventuri are awesome, but definitely a crazy price for intakes. Car currently has BMS intakes. Intake sound is pretty loud in the car currently. You won’t really hear intake sound on video, without it being somewhat doctored or we’d have to film driving at low speeds while on throttle.
Sick video!
Thanks man! 🙌🏻
solid video… see you in one year 😂
😂💀 I got more coming.
Great video love the quality as always, it sounds great on your video but honestly I have heard this same exhaust on other S55 and it sounds terrible might be the different combinations of downpipes ppl use. I'm assuming you are on stock downpipes?
They just released a new version of this exhaust, So it may have been the first version you heard.
Yup, stock downpipes.
@@DrivingCodyyours sounds great the way it is, do you have plans of going downpipes in the future? I'm sure the car is plenty fast as is already
@@jaimehurtado356 It will sound raspy with downpipes, I had EL exhaust, then when I got downpipes i switched to Single Midpipe
All new systems tip issues have been resolved
yoo insanely fire vid! is that hvr?
dang what was that second road where u did donuts at if you don't mind. Or if u could hit at its general area. Just got an e92 m3 and trying to find dope roads
Palomar mountain
Man where have you disappeared of to my guy watching u from the uk got a notification and was so gassed up 😊
Damn thanks for watching from the UK. Haha life happened.
I will like to see a twin turbo set up just like the N54 is, on the S55. Just curious!
There’s a reason people go single on n54.
The discount would’ve been getting it from Alibaba from the people who make the Valvetronic exhaust lmao
It may look similar but it is very far from the real thing. We do not dropship. We develop everything in house
@@valvetronici always love how your channel is active on replies and comments. tuned into Silentpovs vid on your exhaust as well.
Does sound great - but just deleting the burbles it cures 99% of the problem LOL Are you using test downpipes? Or stock downpipes? From what I have gathered running test downpipes and aftermarket muffler its just too loud so still rocking my "Cow Udders" and I hate it.
You can take the burbles out with the stock exhaust and BimmerLink 👌🏼. I would be worried about cat less down pipes being too raspy on the s55. Could be worth a try to run a single midpipe or equal length mid pipes, with catless dp and the stock axle back, but couldn’t tell you if it sounds good or not.
Long time no see
It’s been a little! 🙈.
It also has to be equal length after the midpipe. The left side before the tip is much longer the right side. Obviously it is not your fault. The manufacturer had no idea what equal length means. You have no idea how much it affects sound. I also made me same mistake. It has to completely equal length. A correctly made equal length setup can for example make a GM truck like a Corvette.
The only way it sounds good is single turbo. Point blank period.
Not saying a single turbo doesn’t sound amazing. But the benefit of twins on the powerband is pretty drastic. Single turbo m2’s are awesome though. Financially would probably make more sense to go with an OG M2 or a car with a b58 if you wanted single turbo. 🤙🏻
To be clear not against single turbo it’s dope! If I can get sponsors to cover a single turbo, I would be open to it.
equal length is not the fix. Doesn’t sound natural at all. A single midpipe combined with a good muffler deepens the S55 significantly. My f80 with a dinan muffler sounds similar to an S50/52. In my opinion it’s the only option for this engine as BMW has never made an i6 with a high pitch note like that anyway and it’s best to just go single midpipe. My 2¢
I would be interested to hear the dinan muffler with a single mid pipe. I think the stock mid pipe, or the equal length, doesn’t sound good with the dinan muffler.
Absolutely unacceptable how they require such fab-work in order for their product to fit. Car still sounds like shit btw (sorry not sorry lol). Consider getting an Akrapovic exhaust instead of this cheap alibaba shite from Valvetronic
Sheesh who hurt you

THE TRUTH?! YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!
It’s pretty minor fab work to say the least. Takes maybe 10 minutes for a shop or anyone with experience to do it. Akrapovic makes amazing quality stuff, but I do feel the sound of their current f87 m2 stuff is not worth the sound.
