    I love the vid. I agree with you on the transmission. A manual feels more interactive more in touch with the car. Just sucks in stop and go traffic. That m2c since it came out has been my favorite. Love that package in the small body 2 series.

    Great video man! For your next driving videos, it could be possible to fix a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork please? :)

    I have the Dinan exhaust in my M2C best mod recommended. It is louder and nicer bass tone than stock, but not obnoxious. Price is one of the best too.

    Nice to see you back in a BMW, stock S55 power does fall off after about 65k rpm’s, and if you plan on tracking the car DCT is the way to go.

    • @DrivingCody

      I’m not really a track guy! But I do plan to track it in a manual. Sounds like a challenge🤙🏻

    I actually rather Sedan M cars. But i personally feel this is the best M maybe ever made. Compact powerful and stylish. The M3 now is the first M i wouldn't by personally. Big and that grille lol

    if you think a kw v3 is less to give on the canyons or that they are too stiff i suggest going to a proper specialist who can adjust the et up. i have one too in my m2 and its worlds ahead than the stock one. (i installed mine by a nurburgring race team on weight scale, so really a proper set up and its honestly better in everything compared to stock)

    Honest question. Why not the 2023 G87 M2?

    • @DrivingCody
      @DrivingCody  Před 11 měsíci +2

      I wanted a weekend/fun car that made me want to drive. Not saying the g87 isn't fun but with the size, looks, and additional cost, it didn't fit my needs and wants.

    • @chrisginoc
      @chrisginoc Před 11 měsíci

      @@DrivingCodyGotcha. I agree loud and clear. It's all about wants and needs. Just because something is new doesn't mean everyone will like it. I passed on the G87 and went with the 2023 A91 Supra 6MT. I know, it's slower than the G87, but I'm not street racing at every light. We can't forget to drive what fits us personally.

    Sputter, fart bang... Nah e92 v8 for me. Keeping mine forever with the best sounds of any bmw. V10 is sweet but crappy car it fits in.

    • @DrivingCody
      @DrivingCody  Před rokem +1

      I get it. But in an era of battery assisted cars, regulations, EV’s etc. I’ll take what I can get, and it doesn’t bug me the way it’s bugs you hahah. E92 m3 is a great car and sounds amazing, but there’s no doubting it feels slow and sluggish next to modern days M cars.

    You didn't really show any love for the ZF8.
    It's a brilliant gearbox. As standard yes it's not quite as fast as a DCT, but you can have xHP3 software flashed to it, and then in sports mode it's just as fast, just as brutal, and just as brilliant as any DCT. You can also increase the hydraulic pressure so it can handle higher bhp/torque for tuned cars.
    But also, in comfort mode, you can specify it shifts smoother, so that it is absolutely perfect for daily driving.
    It really is the best of all worlds, a win win win.
    What is so special about pressing a clutch pedal anyway ?
    I have driven manual cars (and many tuned ones), all of my life, over 30 cars owned. My current RWD M140i is an auto with the ZF8. I would not go back to a manual because the ZF8 is that good.
    I can change gear with the gear stick if I want, or paddles, but with xHP3 it's so good I never bother changing myself, I let it do it's thing.
    That said, the M2C is peak BMW small M car for me, absolutely perfect in every way. It's out of my price range though.

    • @DrivingCody
      @DrivingCody  Před 11 měsíci +2

      zf8 is great but they don't offer an f87 M2 Comp with the ZF8. I had it the Supra and all though it was fun, it still felt a little off compared to a DCT. Great transmission, I loved it, but wouldn't want it in this car! For someone who wants the ability to switch from something smooth and conformable to harsh fast shifts, its definitely the best option.

    • @DjNikGnashers
      @DjNikGnashers Před 11 měsíci

      I agree, except the OG M2 has a bit of a lame engine, the M2C is the ultimate peak of small M cars imo.
      It's just perfect.
      I don't know why the channel owner would have wanted to change it for the new model, unless it's simply because he wanted a new car and it's the obvious upgrade.

    • @zooski1516
      @zooski1516 Před 11 měsíci

      @@DjNikGnashers you obviously haven’t experienced the n55 in the og m2. Farthest thing from lame you will find.
      It’s a BMW manufacturer tuned engine. It has 10x more personality than the detuned s55. Believe me that engine has more personality than AMG 4.0 bi turbo. I own a c63s and have barely drove it since I bought the og m2.

    • @DjNikGnashers
      @DjNikGnashers Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@zooski1516 I'm afraid you are assuming things about me without knowing the truth.
      I have worked in the motor trade for many years and driven almost all of the sub 100k fast cars, so I have driven OG M2's and plenty of rivals to compare the vehicle with.
      My friend who lives 2 doors away has an OG M2.
      To be fair, I would much rather drive an OG M2 than a C63. My work colleague bought a 2017 C63 last year, she only kept it for 5 months and sold it, to buy the new Supra.
      She said the C63 was so boring, it was pretty fast but numb, heavy, and just not exciting in any way (and it had a horrible interior).
      There are a few things about the OG M2 which is slightly lacking for a true M car, the seats for example are no different to the shitty ones I have in my cheap-ass M140i, and the front end is just a bit plain compared to the M2C.
      I didn't really rate the engine, and prefer the B58 in my own car. Maybe I'm spoilt, as my car is running 455bhp/634nm so it isn't a fair comparison, but compared to the S58 it is pretty lame.
