    Haters gonna hate but I test drove one and now want one so bad. I love the driving position and it goes great for a dull 33 year old like me who just wants something zippy to hoon in. Maybe I’ll wait for a depreciated one on the used market.

      If you're a car guy and you love it, buy it! Life is to be enjoyed and its not an expensive car when compared to others.

    auto in a swift sport ? no way , I have the 2009 model , love it , hated the next model but fancy buying one of these , great 0-60 time and top end , nice to have 6 speeds that`s the only thing that was wrong with my model it screams for a higher gear when over 100mph , can`t wait to test drive the new 1.4 turbo .

      dinlo biscuit I drove it in the Scross..it did very well. surprised by the way it accelerates between 100-150

    Manual is where it's at for sure with a swift sport.

    • @James-xs9mn
      @James-xs9mn Před 6 lety +4

      No doubt the Manual is fun but I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the Auto its actually pretty good this time round, certainly waaay better than the shitty CVT you could get with the previous model, and lets be honest whether you like it not the auto will easily outsell the manual anyway at least in Australia.

    Hey PDrive, In this video you mentioned that in manual mode the gear will upshift itself! I just need to know, generally can we accelerate at least 6000rpm before change itself?
    And also i need to know, is it truly quite quick when it changes?
    As my last that you think, can I get nice experience with this automatic model with this paddle shifters like manual model?

    • @PDriveTV
      @PDriveTV  Před 6 lety

      Yes, we found the automatic to be surprisingly enjoyable. Definitely worth considering over the manual. And as we found out, the auto is actually quicker across 0-100km/h than the manual: czcams.com/video/uAM4opE0jIk/video.html

    Currently I drive a MK5 GTI with 260hp but I´m kinda getting hooked on this little thing. I wonder how much hp you can get out of this engine additionaly.

      Erik Wiedemann So it has 140hp from 1400ccm what do you thing is the max on HP that can run this little engien whitout broke after 20000 KM ?

    • @dragbag1616
      @dragbag1616 Před 5 lety +4

      apparently the 140 hp is a huge understatement, is 155 hp on dyno stock with a bit of luck, and 170 hp with an ecu, light intake/exhaust mods can get it to 180-190 hp, after that it seems like more serious fiddling is required. (turbo replacement etc) Do mind though that 180 hp isnt bad at all for a car that literally weighs 2/3rd a Golf does. Seems like nurburgring rentals stated that the first swift sport was bulletproof even after 330k kms of racing, so I'd say Suzuki does makes their engines rather too strong than too weak durability wise.

      Gavin Wooster Suzuki for some reason are very modest with there 0-62 times in there cars.....
      Vitara S 138bhp
      Claimed 0-62 10.1 seconds
      Tested 0-62 8.1 seconds
      Suzuki Swift 1.2 94bhp 2012
      Claimed 0-62 12.4 seconds
      Tested 0-62 10.7 seconds
      Suzuki Swift Sport 136bhp 2012
      Claimed 0-62 8.7 seconds
      Tested 0-62 7.9 seconds
      And now confirmed by this very channel.
      Swift Sport 140hp 2018
      Claimed 0-62 8.1 seconds
      Tested 0-62 7.3 Manual 7.01 Automatic.
      I don't know why they do it but for some reason they just do.... maybe it's to help our insurance premiums :)
