The reason I didnt push the smoke was due to my low health from Ochakov, the iowa also lived and together with Yugamo and Iowa I woulda died. The boat is Increabily sluggish and as such brawling a torp boat is not a smart play. Gg to the yugmo there and btw the p bag took a heafy hit in the superstructure from the AP as the HE on this thing is abysmall. I of course have a detailed guide on the channel if need be.

Holy crap, that DD has 35,000 hit points? I saw one in a game the other day and i was low health in a Tirpitz, that Elbing finished me off quickly with his AP. I was shocked. I have a new respect for this ship now.

Elbing is nasty. I was in a Des Moines on Brothers. I was tucked up against the large island in the center, Elbing was on the outskirts and chewed my Des Moines down in a few salvos. I was like WTF!
Have the Elbing, love it I don’t think it’s a meme ship I think it’s the best tier 8 that’s out so far

As a battleship main I genuinely despise destroyers,like a deep rooted hatred. Fire spam, torps you cant see till its too late and do to much damage and flooding because flooding.
As a German BB main i understand this pain that we will never get rid of.

I think I prefer cruisers that play like DD's (Iwaki) over DD's that play like cruisers.
I had about 3800 base xp with it yesterday so i dont know if that is a record for it?
If you’re a good destroyer Concelament doestnt matter there’s argument for Japanese destroyers to have it. Twist is important for dds Like me that my only purpose is to cap and remove dds but at the same time watching maps where you can be spotted tells you everything really but I fight destroyers I have to know exactly where they are. The gunboats win Torps don’t if two equal skilled dds fight eachother a torp boat and a gunboat the gun boat wins nothing outspots you if they’re dds are having a drink with Davey he played flawless at range and disengaging by easy means backing into smoke hitting island cover. Flawless gameplay momk

Hey mate! Liking the idea of others sending their replays to you. The Elbing is a cruiser without the citadel lol it's stats are a meme compared to most other DDs but it will destroy any cruiser and DD that is stupid enough to show too much broadside. If you're in a mino and don't show broadside, you (mino) will eat it lol I've not been sunk once but people like to show their sides...

No, you're not the only one who runs Twist & Track/ Perceptive. I run it myself on all the DDs I can as I can point out accurately where other ships are. Whether my teammates choose to act on that intel or not is.... up for debate. 😒
Elbing reminds me of the Gaede and the Maass as they can equip 150s i believe, i know the Gaede can.

I'm new to the game and was wondering how you know if you have a "pen" versus a ricochet?
look at the ribbons you get it tells you if you get pens, shatters, overpens, and ricochets

From what i have seen its great at destroying cruisers when they are broadside .... And thats about it. Won every one on one engagement in gunboats and hybrid dd's so its definitely not a dd hunter. Slow zoning torps, so not that great against bb's either. Definitely not worth the doubloons people have been paying for it and im pretty sure that most who bought it will end up keeping it docked most of the time after messing around with it a bit. Sneak attacks on broadside cruisers is the only thing its a master at.
Elbing is ok, the Gearing is where the money is.

I dont have the elbing, but i come across it in my sumner all the time, and i annihilate it every time..glad i didnt buy it.
We have to call wargaming out on their overpowered destroyer and crusiers. I'm tired of hesh spam and getting YOLO torped at the beginning of a game and getting no damage off. It is literally a pay to win ship both destroyers and crusiers. Wargaming needs to balance their ships out and stop making it a pay to win game.
