Yes. The R5 drop-in is a direct replacement for the Ulzio G-1. You won't need to remove the large outer spring. Just drop it in and enjoy an immensely brighter flashlight. The great thing about the Ulzio G-1 over many other flashlights (Surefire) is the ability to use a variety of batteries. You can use an 18650, or two RCR123a (16340) batteries.
