A pleasure to watch because there is NO MUSIC added.
Yes, but when I watched the video....I added Ram Jam Black Betty along with the sound of those mufflers. 🙂

What a piece of art. I can see why they only made them a couple of years; the lines probably ate into the available trunk space, but I could stare at it all day. GM tried something similar with the 1978 Cutlass and Century, but that was less sculpted and more chopped; it also only lasted 2 model years.
I have never seen one of those. What a magnificent piece of automotive design.
She is a true work of art both in sculpture and engineering. This is now the car I want most in the world.
My sister and her husband had one of these in baby blue in 1950. I was 8. I've never forgotten it. Absolutely beautiful car!
I am speechless. Stunning automobile. From an old Ford guy.
Daddy was a Buick man. So was grandpa. We had a 39, and got our 1950 baby blue four door used in 1951, grandpa got the 39. Then in 53, we got a 52 and the 50 was passed on to grandpa. In 56, we got a four door 55 Roadblaster and grandpa got the 52. After that dad had a succession of Lincoln Continentals, 58, 63 and the final one was a 1980.
Very beautiful car, and terrific craftsmanship in its build! That being said, this is a highly modified car internally, I am sure. It no longer is powered by its original straight eight engine, and no longer has its dynaflow transmission. Most notably, to accomodate those changes the car most certainly no longer has its original torque tube, which would make the driving experience much more like a '60s Buick than a 1950. What suspension changes have been made I could not be sure, but without the torque tube, the rear end would have to be modified substantially, too. I appreciate that the aesthetics of the car are very nicely preserved, but if you are remembering your grandpas buick rumble, this is very different.
Nice car and in beautiful condition. I've never heard of Jet Back being a reference to this body style. Back in the day a car with this body style was referred to as a Torpedo Back.
Thanks for posting. Always loved the fastback models from this era.
I like this type vintage cars .thanks
WHAT A PIECE OF ART ON 4 WHEELS. I have NEVER SEEN such a AMAZING Car. And this SOUND 🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜 just to melt away.
Thanks :)
In 1957 or so when I started high school, my Dad had a 2 door fastback '50 Buick. I don't remember ever seeing this bodystyle in a 4 door. Most all were regular notchback designs.
Exactly! I am watching, thinking why does this look so different? I thought they only came as a 2dr. Only knew them as a coupe. Nice Sedan though!
This is such a cool car. Sure don’t see these around anymore. Lucky guy!
Straight as can be, beautiful ride .
WOW my grandpa had a 49 slope back 2dr BEAUTIFUL THANKS
What a car and what a ride! My dad had a 51, 2 dr hardtop coupe. I got to drive it some. I’d get up early during the week to get ready for school. But, dad would let me drive around the neighborhood before school. Dynaflow trans, straight 8, fun, comfortable, 18 mpg on open road, It could have been a great car for dating. It had giant seats, front and back, lots power, great car.
My 'Gramps" car!! The only new car he ever owned!! What a beauty!!
One of the most intimidating front ends
Snarling snags!
Back when cars were cars........
Cars are still cars today 🤣🤣🤣 what are you talking about? Do you want a flying car
@@joesamabinbiden6663 One of the more stupid replies I've ever seen. It's not about a flying car, dude. It's about history.
@@AJ-iu4pd that's not what he meant though
Dad had one just like this, I was a year old when he got it. I climbed up on the back and slide down when I was 5 or 6. I remember when he traded it in on a new '56 Century in Oct. 1956, when the '57s came out.
We had a 50 2door,green which was really ugly. Then we got a 57 Century, with the 300 hp.364ci engine . One of the best running cars I ever drove. I loved that car, it was wide enough to take my girlfriend parking . An all around good time car.
What a masterpiece!
beautiful car 😍 it's true art back then they was so smart to made cars
So nice. My grandfather's car was 1948 Buick, looks similar.
That car's fine lookin' man, it's sumpin' else
Oh man!! That V8 rumble. Wow
It is a straight 8, not a V8.
@@jkoysza1it's not a straight 8 anymore it's a Buick 430 V8 and GM 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic. Be glad it's not a Chevrolet engine
now that's a car!!! look at that grill and the styling, harley earl must have loved it. it's the kind of buick i always wanted.
Been a car guy for 60 plus years. This is the ONLY 4 door I’ve lusted for. Beautiful. Dave, not Eileen
Been into cars since I was 9...never seen one of these. Nice looking car.
The Rear Body of this Buick is Awesome!!
What an incredible machine!
Work of art! Always loved the torpedo backs!
Hmmm...I seeing the beginning of a '63 'Vette...
@@audieconrad8995 That styling cue was probably originally started by the Auburn boat tail speedster.
@@oldskool59 I'm in Maine. There is one in the Bob Barhe auto collection. What a car!
@@audieconrad8995 Sure is, Completely unique and original style for its time.
Beautiful looking car
Wow! Like a 1948 Tucker Torpedo! Love that body style and the front chrome waterfall grille spilling over the front bumper!
I love these fastback cars, especially the 2 door models...all of these cars are sleek and pleasing to the eye...my uncle had a chevy fastback, unfortunately it was used as a chicken coupe...still thought it was a cool car 50 plus years ago.
What a body and shape
.really old is gold
IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL
Never saw one like than before. It was a nice surprise to see 4 doors. Mighty fine dash. An all around beauty. Tail lights had a touch of Oldsmobile to them, don't you think. I got a little sad when those garage doors open back up. Thanks for the show, 18 months ago and 71 years later
Awesome Thanks for sharing this Video
Афигенная тачка!!!!!! Моему восхищению нет предела!!!!
Спасибо
Wowowow, huge amazing car in the old days, but i still admire and mesmerize me. Awesome, stable, durable, etc. I prefer old cars over the modern style. Having it is a valuable treasure that reflects and reminisce the past years.
..... This flick didn't show it, but the hood opens in three directions, which should be the norm, but was unique to these cars... It opened from the front and lifted up as a 'normal' car would do...then, it lifted from either side, left or right...so from standing at a fender the hood will lift up in a 'sideways fashion' ... Very cool feature to make access possible from any point .....
OLD IS GOLD
К Р А С О Т А ! ! ! 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chrome! Chrome! More Chrome! Gotta love it.
The top of luxious car will be always Facel Vega.
Great job!
The first car I bought was a 1950 Buick. I paid $99 and I was 13 years old. We drove it for 9months and the timing gear broke. Still, it was a noble car, like my '56 Roadmaster.
Wow what beautiful car. Gorgeous
If that jetback wasn't the styling influence for the '71 Riviera, I can't imagine what was! Gorgeous car! The first family car I can remember was a blue '53 Buick sedan...Man, what a tank that thing was!
Checkout this Riviera ‘70 czcams.com/video/fVJoPZMTA5A/video.html
So true, about the influence on the Riviera.
First family car I remember was a Glen Green '52 Special, 2 door pillarless coupe. Dad wasn't buying into Dynaflow, so ours had 3 speeds on the column along with its Fireball straight eight.
So nice and sporty.
Great cinematography of this black beauty. Just the perfect balance of chrome and steel inside and out. Sweet elegant styling + that well know ultra smooth Buick ride. The car "spoke" for itself. No need for a narration that blathers on and on.
Love it, we owned one but was sold when downsized to move. Wish had it back, meant to be a kustom
"Estos si eran carros made in ,USA. ".....
Tengo fe, en verlos de vuelta ( con tecnología acorde al tiempo actual ). Pero conservando su , " Belleza y Calidad ". Made in, USA....

This is my latest greatest car.
my dad had a green one with tinted sun shade over the windshield, the back seat was huge to me at 4 years old.

That my friend is Harly Earl GM engineering. This car went up against the Mercury sedan nice ass body as well.
It seems that this model went up against the Tucker as well.
Wow! Sure doesn't sound like Grandma's "buck-tooth" Buick! Never saw a Dynaflow move like that either! Beautiful!
It is not a Dynaflow. Pay attention to the information.
@@chuck8835 Yeah, I just saw the script on the car.
Simply beautiful,
Campeón, ni súperman podría ver tan rápido el interior!
I like the 1963 Corvette Rear Split Window...Now I know where Chevy got that idea

"Wouldn't you really rather drive a Buick?"
GM used that advertising sales pitch for several years.
Wish I could repeatedly smash the like button for more likes 😂 Love this beautiful car! 😍
Det fina med just videon är ju att man får så mycket känsla av närvaro med ljud och närbilder. Lätt att förstå många visningar.
Tack, jag gjorde videon till min far och detta är vad han önskar se och höra. Goda minnen för han nu när han har sålt den.
Oh my god!!!WONDERFUL!!BUICK DYNAFLOW

I filled the “knee-action” shocks with 90 wt. gear oil and it drove like new!
Thanks for your comment. I just did this in my 51 super and you're right, it drives like new now! I have shocks again.
