@@ddellwo, in addition to ruin a car, I can't stand those owners who remove the entire suspension in order to make the car low enough to scratch its undersurface, fuel tank, exaust, oil sump, at every ground obstacle, rough ground, holes, ditches. Not to mention the reduced accessibility in a car whose doors get stuck to the sidewalk when opened.
@@marciowagner7808 aren’t those vehicles on air suspension 9 times out of 10? I would hope most people with those builds have an air suspension kit that they use to actually move? otherwise yeah that’s pretty dumb to do 🤣🤣

They put so much style and thought into cars back then. Every area of the car had beautiful style. My Aunt bought a new 1959 or 1960 black with red interior Impala while I was a kid . My Uncle had 57 Chevy, 58 Chevy convertible , 63 409 impala and many others that I would ride in growing up. The Impala I love is the 61 or so bubble top . My dad had one and traded it to a guy to install a trans into a junkie Tornio , I came close to having heart failure , it was red and white ! These cars blow away the cars today in beauty and style and quality parts , no plastic and they cost 3,000 new.

My first car was 1960 Impala SS just like this in white with black trim. Beautiful and comfortable with a great 283 V8 engine. I loved this car and kept it pristine just like this one. It got stolen while I was working at a grocery supermarket. The police found it in the ghetto stripped of rims and tires with transmission ruined and smashed up in front, a total loss. Just about killed me.
@jerryc1010 same here, a white 60 SS Impala. I got it from a used car dealer who took it in on a trade. Beautiful condition. The dealer gave $75. And I paid $150.00 for it. I babied it. I've had a lot of cars since but wish I still had that one.
My Dad also had a beautiful Impala back in the 60's..forgot the exact year..but what a beauty! Black outside and red inside,a real looker..and those tail lights,wow,those were the days! 🤔
Absolutely, Chuck. It looks like one that would have appeared just like this on the showroom floor when new. The whitewalls are/were befitting of cars that were truly beautiful. Today's ugly suv's and 4-door "rent-a-cars" aren't worthy of them, but might give them SOME class.
ya know, I love white walls, getting some for my caddy. I asked why they don't put white walls on cars, I was told thats what the customer wanted. Funny no one asked me. They make the car look classier.

Reason I know interior is not correct. Prettiest car I ever owned .Owned a 1960 , two 1963s, one a 409 , and a 1965 . All Impalas 2 Dr Ht . All 2 year old , except 409 SS ,that I owned in 2003 .That was my “ Fun “ car , without a Doubt .

I drove a 60 impala convertible back in high school was a 283 automatic wished it would’ve been a 348 and 60 was supposed to be the first year. You could get a four speed on floor which I only seen one of those cars they never offered an interiorlike the one picture but other than the interior, he’s kept the whole car true to the way it came from the factory outstanding in it very nice

348-409 Chevy engines were garbage. Horrible reliability and longevity.
