- Third time lucky climbing this one, finally seeing the summit clear of cloud!
This is second time I've filmed it for this channel, but this time from via a different, longer, and more scenic route up to the top.
Starting from old dungeon ghyll in near Great Langdale with a group of friends we all set off on the 12.5 mile track to Scafell Pike.
The first few miles were pretty flat, before a steep climb up to Angle tarn, where we stopped for some lunch with a view. Then it was onwards up to the ridge line running from Great End, which involved a bit of up & down over some pretty rocky terrain before reaching the summit.
Stunning clear day, really warm in the sun & finished off with an incredible pie at the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel after the walk.

Hello Andrew. Good video.
I'm going next month. Don't know much about the area, I'm hoping to cram as much as possible in 50 hours. 5 hour drive up for me.
Keep going with your vids.👍
Looks stunning is that 12.5 mile total or just to Scafell pike?
Total length, but it felt longer with the ups and downs & rocky terrain
