If Samsung's safety net was weaker it couldn't afford to do this without failing. But given its backing it can't fail against a regular company.
***** You should look into it. Right now I have the 2014 as well, and I have hundreds of pages of notes on it. My life basically depends on the S pen note taking ability. But if what you're saying is true, I'll gladly sell my note 2014 for the tab S 10.5.
If Samsung continues putting out tablets ever other month I'm pretty sure there will be a note 2015 as soon as I buy the Tab S 10.5 lol. Then I will be returning my tab s for tht lol
Benjamin Huang No third party pen comes close to the S-Pen. Pens which work in any tablet all have a thick rubber tip which is far from comfortable to use.
Like how it clicks into the keyboard. I've known for a while now that if I ever buy a tablet, I'd like it to be converted into a laptop for all my typing. I work with a lot of documents.

Great video. I am strongly considering getting this tablet. I have been a laptop guy for a little while now and it seems like these tablets are the new thing. I have been really thinking about going from my laptop to a tablet and one of the things that caught my eye is that keyboard set up! If I ever wanted to resort back to more of a laptop set up, I could just pop it onto the key board. The one that I looked at was totally different, just a single/separate keyboard that connected via Bluetooth but then I would have 2 separate pieces. Definitely like that setup in your video MUCH more. What is it and where would I be able to find it?
Hey, I have the 10.5 LTE. version really impressed, works and looks great. One thing that surprised me was the high quality of glass, but I can't find out anywhere, what type of glass is used. It t feels super strong and really easy to clean. Does anyone know what type of glass they use?

I watched the video and I was wondering if the 10.5 model comes with the same functionality apps than the 10.1 2014 edition, like the S-note app. I was looking for a tablet for college (taking notes, reading on PDF, etc) and I was very interested in the note 10.1, actually one of my friends has it, but what I really hate is that sometimes it takes too long to turn the screen on or unlock it, and for what I see here, this new model is much faster. They got the display right! Now they need to clean up the UI and get rid of the bloatware to make it look better and run smoother. Also, the leather imitating design of the note 3 needs to come back. Why did they have to use band aid back cover for this?
I would go for this device if it had Lollipop support, but I suspect we'll have to wait until end of year or early next year for a new model that has Lollipop with these specs and LTE.
Eli Nathan Yes. Don't get an iPad. Not because I'm a samsung fanboy or something but the 10.5 is the same as the iPad, just different design and it's way more simple for people who aren't good in technology. And the price is 1/3 of the iPad.
What i think Samsung should do is: They should make a new display called NOLED (Natural Organic LED) Which takes the color accuracy of LCD displays and puts them together with the deep blacks of AMOLED displays. You know, for the people who don't like AMOLED's warmth (I'm not one of them).
replace the Mini for the 8.4 inch or the Air for the 10.1 inch and see for yourself, Samsung tablets have lagged, yes but Samsung's new touchwiz is actually way smoother than before and i know because i play around with a bunch of my friends with the SGS5
Don't mind what you hear about lags on Samsung products. This is mainly just perpetuated from years ago when obviously the hardware wasn't as good as it is today, and people just still think Samsung is laggy... some still think Android in general is laggy and not as smooth as iOS. . TouchWiz is a bit more bloated than most skins but it's not slow in any sense of the word. You can disable the animations if you feel like it but you won't notice any lag that actually hinders user experience. These are high end tablets after all.

Samsung tablets are so haaaaaaard to understand there's the tab category, the Note, the Note pro, and now they present us the tab S. Even the Xperia phones line is not that complicated to understand x) In my opinion, tablets lines have to be much simpler to understand than PC or smartphones lines because it can have an interest for a larger kind of customers like elders who generally just want something to go on the Internet easily and quickly share photos with their families. Pro can also be interested in tablets so that's why I think two clearly distincted categories of tablets is correct and efficient : Pro category and public category in order to please everybody's wishes. The mess Samsung is doing with their tablets will never help them lead the market (I think).
In 2:34 you can obviously see that the blacks on the right tablet(TAB PRO)are richer than the new Tab S so i dont what the hell he is talking about.The Tablet seems to have a lot of hiccups during the video. But overall it is a great tablet and the best Android tablet.A worthy contender to the iPad Air.

SO happy I returned my samsung 2014 note 10.1. All these new features are more important to me than a S pen that I never use.
I was told that I can download a s pen application and use a third party pen to do many of the things of the S pen. I'm not sure if that's true
