collapsed lifters/clogged lifters. take em out, put all four in a cup of fuel and pump them out in the fuel until they free up and work properly. did it to mine brought her back to life.

Yeah this one was crazy, still don't think the customer told me the true story of what happened. But that's OK, I'll figure it out! Thanks

Weird things happening with mine too. Same year and model as this one. I inspected the flywheel and after reinstalling it backfired so loudly that it blew a hole in the exhaust manifold gasket. Scared the crap out of me. I did turn the flywheel while the cover was off as I was looking to see if I could hear or feel anything off. I'm afraid this is what is causing my problems.. when it does start, it runs normally except for a small rattle in the flywheel case.

Could be many things, but sounds like it's running lean, meaning it needs more fuel. Maybe fuel filter or pump needs replaced. 🐉

I have a 2009 razor 800 it is back firing through the intake and won’t get above 4300 rpm would you have any idea what could cause this . I have replaced about everything I could think of and still really not helping .

any idea why mine sputters and stalls when i hit the water like going through a puddle and splashing up it seems to happen all the time leaving me outta the fun mud and water crossing

Could be alot of things actually, but first make sure the intake boot coming from air box is all the way on and tight, also no cracks or dry rot. Make sure there is no way water is getting into the intake. If not that, probably and electrical connector get wet. You might try starting the bike up, spray lightly with water hose and see if you can pinpoint the area that is causing the problem, don't spray any water directly in the engine or electrical connections, just lightly all over to see if it tries to cut out or sputter. Good luck.

I’m late but Also check your belt box for Any leaks where water can get in and cause the clutches to slip or the belt not grab. Had it happen to me

There’s no adjustment, bad lifter or flat lobe on the cam.

You must not have watched the video, I found a bent pushrod in this video

I bent the pushrod back straight, put it back in the engine and it's still running today and they plow snow with it and all kinds of work around the property, they don't cut it no slack. Apparently a backfire had caused it.
