This video has me sold on a R9. The fact it was just "tossed on" and worked awesome, was the deal maker. If installed not 100% perfect, it still has coverage.
Wow, that’s a LOT of work. Thanks to all who participated.
IT’S HERE !!!
Awesome Vortex!!! Thanks for sharing..
Fantastic Video. Great to see the results from the testing. The event seemed real fun
Awesome summary Vortex. Great to see Uniden do so well. Will read the full story in RDF.
Thanks for the breakdown Vortex. Excited to install my TMG A-17 in a few weeks.
Thank you Vortex!!!
I'm very bullish on adding the R9 jammer with my R8 after seeing this testing. Amazing work!
Awesome test Vortex.
Great Breakdown Vortex, Looking forward to other reviews and would see the ALP Black vs the Uniden R9.
Will be testing ALP black on this same car and course in the next month or so to add to these results.
Thanks so much Vortex. Would have been nice to see testing with TX Black for ALP since it's the newest technology to be fair to ALP.
Awesome thanks for all your work. When will you guys do a SoCal test meet again?
Super impressive from R9.
I live in FL and didn't know anything about this! Wtf! Now I'm upset I could have came by and met everyone 😠 🤬 😔 😢 😭
What city?
Wow uniden is on fire!!!!
Cant wait for R4/R8 support.
So basically, this video could have been like 3mins long instead of 25mins to just talk about R9. 🤣🤣I’m kidding… It’s great to have folks that like doing these tests for us. Thanks again for sharing and thanks for the folks that helped out. Now I just have to sell my arms and legs to get the R9. (this part I’m not kidding).
Quite a long time ago, 10 years or so i had laser jammers installed on multiple cars I owned from LI. At that time they worked great and I had switched to ALP for my last car that had it. In the last 8 years or so I haven't bothered to install any laser jammers and to be honest up in the northeast I cannot even remember the last time I was hit with laser. It's almost like they entirely stopped using laser up here. Anyone know whats up with that
It should be pointed out a Honda minivan is huge with lots of flat surfaces
Nice
Oooo fun! Uniden is way too pricey. I want to love it but the cost is crazy.
Price reflects the performance I guess. It works really well
So are these legal in florida??
I'd be interested to see what someone from ALP has to say about this result. ALP has been the LONG documented jammer of choice for a long time, hands down. Unfortunate that they didn't have the latest and greatest setup as well. Their equipment was 5 yrs old with the old TX sensors, correct?
Yep. ALP talked about it on the forums. Luckily ALP has been tested many times with lots of configurations over the years. This is just one of many many tests.
@@VortexRadarThank you
Curious to see results with a larger target like Escalade or similar would think you would have to use a dbl black tx f and r for alp set up and don’t think other manufacturers could accomplish a solid result using their systems. All seem fine for a vehicle such as an odyssey
Have set up on e63s Amg and Macan turbo and one middle tx does the trick. In process of equipping a Tahoe and was waiting for vortex Florida report Game changer with a huge target front and rear Would love to install the integrated redline ci or even the uniden r9 just don’t have confidence in much larger vehicles with their choices
Any feedback would be appreciated
Feel free to hop on the forums to see more test results and discuss this further
@@VortexRadar I will for sure
Thank you
@@VortexRadar can’t get on for some reason. Do you still offer consulting
So are they not going to come out with the R8 laser jammers?
Uniden Is Prioritizing the R9: SEMA 2023
czcams.com/video/pxrcfSCZ34o/video.html
Tell uniden to have the r8 connect to a laptop via Bluetooth for firmware for itself or the laser jammer. The laser jammer would be nice as a stand alone brain in engine compartment that only needs power and heads. Connect brain to r8 via Bluetooth only. No firewall breach issues no running more wires to r8 and having wires come out of both sides of unit is just poor design.
You would have to run wires for the rears through the cabin
Do you have ant tests using a full sized pickup truck?
What about the Escort ZR5 shifter? is it any different then what is with the 360Ci?
Yeah redesigned laser jammers and more effective.
@@VortexRadar Thanks for the quick response! After a bit of research I found a set of the new VX5 shifters, do you know if anyone has tested compatibility with the standard Redline 360c? :D
It's currently only available with the Redline Ci 360c. There's no windshield mount compatible version.
@@VortexRadar Dang it, I was hoping it would be backwards compatible, or not fully supported but maybe still work. 😅 Guess ALP it will be 😎
Where in South Florida?
South of Orlando/North of Miami
@@Dexirt I live in the same place
Has anyone heard of a jammer called Conqueror. It is out of Taiwan and wireless. Sold on eBay.
Yeah I just pulled off my ALPs - looks like the new king is the R9!
With the Uniden R7 … I have no use for any kind of jammer.
I have it and it doesn’t even go off against certain radars. I’ve been picked by fixed radars installed on polls, laser radar by a hidden cop. I’ve tested Uniden R7 in front of a cop shooting at me (I spotted him and made a U-turn just to test) and it didn’t even go off. It inky picks KA bands.
It won't help much with laser, if it alerts it will only be telling you that you were hit, its great for radar though!
I use an R7 and have been hit by laser. Laser is deadly, and the R7 offers no protection until it's too late. I'm going to use waze on a cross-country road trip this summer. It's a shame that no one uses CB radios anymore, as those were great back in the day.
Wrong. You just showed the world you have no idea how laser and radar works.
CB radios to call out Smokeys? It’s outdated technology.
I have the R8 just this past month I got Hit by laser my R8 Pick that laser out three times I was surprised
First
...and saddest.
Great to see ALP dethroned.
Why is that great? ALP made what this industry is today. Without them you would have nothing. I think you meant to say "Great to see someone other than ALP making good laser gear."
Competition and incentive to be even better. I also never cared for Tom's arrogance.@@CathodeRayNipplez

Thats a load of crap Sir.
Lidatek LE-10 was first laser jammer, followed by ZR3's and Blinder, etc.
Laser Interceptor was the first true 'fire and forget' smart lidar jammer.
In South Florida testing, not shown on the video, a LI two head system was tested. Sans Laser Ally and DragonEye, it was still incredibly effective against all legacy lidar guns, and some modern lidar guns, even in a non optimal setup.
ALP is still a great jammer, but the competition has caught up.
@@BSE1320 Please send me a link to the LI gear to sway me from ALP. I'm no fanboy, I just want protection from whomever best supplies it. The Florida testing cracks me up as I think about a bunch of geriatrics looking for somewhere to pee. 😆
