I've never experienced a false KA detection. For K band, most automatic doors will false, but they can be easily locked out. BSM falses aren't bad with my settings (mainly by lowering rear K sensitivity). Additionally, with Highway Radar blocking 24.120 - 24.125, long drives can be very quiet.
Don't know where u live but be careful with blocking .120 to .125, police K band Raptors and Falcons can operate in this range, although so do Mazda CX-5 Bsm's(24.123-24.124).@@AmandaM9
Most major dash mount 2 antenna radar guns with is called "SL" or same processing. Some work better than others. If you can find of copy "Drivers Guide to Police Radar" by Craig Peterson or do an online search and you can download a copy. Same Lane is great when it works. I read police blogs, etc and some offers either don't know about it or they simply don't want to bother it. Being in this cat and mouse battle, you have to know about what your going up against as well as your own equipments performance and limitations. I've ran a detector and back in the day a cb radio. I did quite a bit of driving. Through 3 states. So far🫰 only citations by state patrols. I can even remember the model of each unit's radar. Lol, Years ago the most difficult radars to pick up were low power X-Band and K-band. Thank goodness our team was pretty sharp as well. As far as hitting you once they've passed you especially when moving is not that common. Why I like the arrows. I give them a chance to hit me one more time and watch their tale lights then I move on. Hope the gibberish of an old guy gave you some was of some value. Safe travels
A lot of it has to due with the conditions of that road. It’s almost perfectly flat and straight, little traffic, and barely anything to obstruct the signal. An average detection for me on a highway would be between 1-2miles. For city driving closer to 0.6-1mile
@@AmandaM9I think including thr full video sped up was totally cool because you can visualize the distance and made it easier to watch. Thanks got the vid m8 that was satisfying asL
Just bought the R8. Much better reviews than the redline 360.
That's some fantastic detection. How often do you get false positives?

Why block these frequency bands? Are these not freqs used by speed-sensing radar?
i love my r7
They can clock you as they drive away as well?? Wtf.
Yeah, it is actually pretty common for radar units that are mounted inside cop cars to have two transmitters, one for the front and one for the back.

Nice video do need special software to edit your video ??
If so - what software do you use
Thanks in advance
Premier Pro
Did you have to tweak the settings heavily? Or does it work good on Auto mode out of the box? I have a Uniden R8 Extreme Long Range, and in Florida.
I used a slightly modified version of Vortex Radar’s settings. I essentially followed along with what he setup, then adjusted it for my own region
How were you able to detect so far? My range is high yet detects late

A half a mile around town is wild
Next time don't speed it up so we can get the full effect of the detection, the ramp up.
Yeah I understand that, it’s just a very long video if I don’t lol
@@AmandaM9 oh ok
