I'd like to think he realized that gaming will go to sh** when he dies, so he got more healthy to stall the inevitable.
That's one way to look at it. It will be a huge loss to all gamers once he passes away. Thankfully Valve is a private company and I'm sure GabeN's has plans for it once he can't lead it.

He lost weight from delivering Steamdecks on foot.
I got my steam deck just recently, and in the vid that asmon played I saw Gaben talking about New Zealand just randomly. So if he was travelling around hand delivering each steam deck...the story is kinda stacking up for me.

@@WhatIsTheHeat there's not enough research done at the moment to be able to tell if there will be any long term side effects yet. Those kinds of researches take decades in order to properly study and asses them.

Yeah, I'm legit so happy for Gabe if he really lost weight. I was actually worried for his health when I saw him a couple of years ago doing some interview. Was thinking to myself, dude's probably the most successful and influential man in the whole industry and all everything that he achieved for what? Just to die prematurely of a sudden heart attack, this doesn't make sense.

Its pretty hilarious, Gaben lost a lot of weight from playing FF14 and Asmongold got a lot more comfortable to do more variety stuff and be a more positive guy when switching to FF14.

Honestly what usually prompts it is a health scare, but sometimes you need a kick up the arse to get the weight off - he looks fantastic
what made me start losing weight was not a health scare it was a scare I got from looking into the mirror and not recognizing myself anymore it was like I stop realizing how far my body went and only realized that looking into a mirror I lost like 35kg now and I am aiming for losing another 10 to 15 more before going to the gym and starting to powerlift to regain and gain even more the strength because I lost strength from all this weight loss I am not a doctor but I feel like fat give your strength of course not as much as muscles but I am feeling weaker and weaker the more fat I lose but at least movement is far more better now

How did you even lose all that weight without gym to begin with? Because if you just hunger, eventually the body will take away muscle fibre you don't use all that often for energy, as it's a very good energy source and takes a lot of energy to maintain.
You shouldn't wait if you can help it, if you have a problem with the weight staying similar while you lose fat and gain muscles... Just look in the mirror, is usually even better than weight scales.
Anyways, just my two cents, you, ofc. do you in the way you see fit. Best of luck King.
@@warcriminal3414 You body weight was what gave you "exercise" but as you've lost weight you've been getting less "exercise" in return and as such you've been losing strenght. If you don't believe me, I knew a body culturist who was a muscle of mountains. He then sadly got cancer and in combination with it's effects, cancer treatment and lack of exercise, he lost all those muscles in just two years. He went from mountain to broomstick so fast it was scary. Alas he passed away not long after.
In any case, you're doing good work! Keep it up!
@@hiiambarney4489 thanks for the advice but I going on one meal a day it's what worked for me and I find easy the less I eat the less hungry I feel and I tried to go to gym while losing weight but it get harder and harder for me and I felt I am not gaining any strength in fact it felt that I am getting worst and almost hurt myself and someone else in the gym turned out that your body need food especially carbohydrates in order to be able to gain strength and protein in order to gain muscles I am not looking for muscles I am looking for strength so I am now only doing cardio at home and focusing on losing the fat first then I am going to focus on powerlifting after I reach at least 85 kg

I got myself into Carnivore in June of 2022, I was 376lbs. I started walking 2-3 extra miles a day other than what I was walking at work and starting lifting 4 days a week, and the results were staggering. 11 months later, I hit 190lbs. Staying stable ever since then as well, but I bust my butt.
This man is an international treasure.
