I've got an Acura RDX 2013.. going to tackle this job soon. If it wasn't for this video I would've bought the whole assembly which was like 3x the cost. Hopefully the instructions are very similar!

I have the same problem with the exception that it was I who smacked a trash bin. Where did you get your cover from?
I believe from Honda with the added bonus it came already painted pearl black , you choose what color car you have

Thank you very much for the video. Quick question though. I have 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid EXL. Driver side mirror housing in cracked and I want to replace it. So, my understanding from your video is that I don't have to remove side mirror completely (i.e. it can still be attached to the car). Please let me know if this correct. I'm planning to buy Housing Set, L *NH788P* (White Orchid Pearl) for $100 instead of complete side mirror assembly which is much more expensive.
Would you mind doing the same video removing the back cover (skull cap) on the CR-V?. I've looked this Accord one but the CR-V skull cap is slightly different, where I think you don't need to remove the mirror to get to it, but if you could do a video would be great. I'm trying to replace the turn signal with a sequential one but I need to get to it first and if I can save removing the mirror would be great. Thank you in advanced.

What if the ACCUATOR is messed up, my side view mirror is making loud sounds
Any videos on how to fix where the mirror attaches to the folding mechanism? Side mirror hit by car wash. Glass and body of mirror in great shape but does not secure to folding pin. Just sits on the piece but could be lifted off with ease. Replace who mirror assembly or possible to replace that piece?
It depends on the piece that is broken, If the backing plate attached to the mirror is broken then you need to replace the mirror. If the actuator tabs are damaged then that has to be replaced. I would buy a new mirror for damaged mirror backing and would look for used mirror assembly for actuator replacement.
@@DIYCarModz it’s not the mirror or anything behind the glass. So if looking at entire side mirror, it folds in and then back out manually. Well mine has broken where it’s sits on the folding/rotating piece. It was bent back by a automatic car wash. So the mirror assembly just sits on that piece and only held on by wire.

My turn signals came with a red wire, where do I put it ? The red wire is connected to the turn signals. How would I ground them if so ?
