Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Honda Accord, we're going to be taking a look at how to install the K Source replacement side mirror, part number KS63606H.This is what our mirror looks like when it's installed. This is going to be a direct replacement to your factory mirror. Depending on your application, this one is actually heated and powered. You can see it's going to have an integrated turn signal in the light. It's going to be constructed of a durable plastic. It's going to withstand the weather.
And it also has a fold in option, when it gets struck to keep it from breaking. Now you can see, our mirror has full adjustability. This is going to be a no drill application. It's going to use factory mounting points and can be color matched or painted to match your vehicle. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how to get it installed. As you can see here, our driver's side mirror is damaged, so we're going to replace that. What we need to do is, we need to get on the inside of the car, and remove our panel. We're going to have three nuts on the inside that hold our mirror in place. Our mirror's going to mount right behind the speaker here. We an actually pop this off, and get to the three bolts or three nuts that hold our mirror in place, however, this being an electric mirror, the plug sits down underneath our panel here.
Remember, as we take this off, we got to remember all this electrical stuff, so you don't want to pull on it. We just want to pull it out enough so we can get to that plug.So we'll take some plastic trim panel tools, and I'll pop this off first and show you what it looks like in there. Just run it like that, and it'll pop out. And there's going to be the three nuts we need to remove. And our plug, this is going to be our wiring, sits right down about right here.
And we can't get to it by reaching like that. So, we're going to pop our panel off, reach up there and unplug it.Again, we'll just use our trim panel tool. And they should be plastic fasteners just like this in there. Right in the center here, there's a cap and it's got two Phillips head screws that we're going to have take out. So right at the top, we'll take a small flathead screw driver and there's an opening.
We're going to pull out, and that'll give us our two Phillips screws.Take the Phillips screwdriver and remove those two screws. So you can see the white plug there. That's the one we're going to need to remove to get our mirror out. We'll have a fastener right here. Take the trim panel tool, flathead screw driver works, we're going to pop this out. And this is what we want right here. So now we'll use a 10 millimeter socket and wrench, remove our three nuts that we have here. If you just loosen them, should be able to get them the rest of the way with by hand. And we'll just simply pull our mirror out, just like that. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this clip off so I can put it back in place. And it's just like a zip tie. So if you look down inside here, there's a little clip, you pull that out, I'll pry it outward, you can actually get that one side out just like that, and then we can re-use the clip.So now we'll take our new mirror. We're going to have some covers here, we'll remove those. Then you want to take off these rubber ends here. We're going to leave the foam in place, and we'll replace or reinstall this clip here, just like that. So now we're going to put our new mirror in place. And it's going to go in the same spot we took out our old one. We get our bolt lined up there, and we're going to get some nuts, go ahead and put on the new ones. And then we'll tighten them down. And we don't want to tighten these down so tight that you crack this plastic piece here. We just want them snug. Try and get this foam piece through there as much as you can. And we want to make sure we got a good seal around it, so no water can get inside there.Go ahead and plug it back in. Once you have your mirror installed, tightened down, plugged back in, you can reinstall everything in reverse order from the way you took it out.And that'll do it for the look at an installation on the K Source replacement side mirror, part number KS63606H on our 2013 Honda Accord.
