DIY how to remove and install the sideview mirror assembly on a Honda vehicle. This will be the same for majority of all Honda vehicles. Accord, Civic, Fit, CR-V, Ridgeline, Crosstour, Odyssey, Pilot, S2000, Insight, Element, Passport, HR-V, Prelude, Clarity, CR-Z, Del Sol, Hybrid.
I'm working on my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. This will be the same for all 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 Honda Accord vehicles for both coupe and sedan. Side view mirror replacement.

I follow every instructions that you said and I repaired my own part and although the Center console cost me $140 but the video information was priceless. Thank you very much.
Thanks, this was a great help. I used a crow bar wrapped in a towel. This 65 year old petite woman needed the extra muscle to get the mirror out. It worked perfectly! I switched out the mirror for an expanded view mirror on a 2020 Passport.

Would you mind doing the same video removing the back cover (skull cap) on the CR-V?. I've looked at the one for the Accord you have but the CR-V skull cap is slightly different, where I think you don't need to remove the mirror to get to it, but if you could do a video would be great. I'm trying to replace the turn signal with a sequential one but I need to get to it first and if I can save removing the mirror would be great. Thank you in advanced.

So the rotating part on my driver side mirror is broken. So would I have to buy a whole new side mirror? Or is there a part that I can buy and replace myself.

Used this as a guide for 2016 Odyssey, drivers side.
The retention to the mirror actuator was different than the clips shown, but removed the same way.
I had to reinsert the Up/down lead nut when reinstalled.

What’s the best tool for taking the glass off a 2012 Hyundai Sonata(after tilting down and to the right) so I can change my side view turn signal?

My mirror came off the adhesive within like 2 mos of owning the van, and the replacement took 8mos to come in. When they replaced it, they gave me some warped piece of crap. So I told them to put the old one back on and I’m just gonna find some high heat resistant adhesive and try that instead.
Omg this seem so freaking easy! Somebody hit my glass, just the glass, now I wanna fix. I'll follow all these steps and tomorrow I'll update this to let yall know how it went

You're going to need a conversion harness and have to trim the bumper.
Is there a video for changing the cover on the left hand side mirror without taking the door pad off and removing the whole unit? The front part of the unit is broken, and I believe that part can be replaced without buying a whole new unit. Maybe. Thanks. 😊😊

My mirror was wobbly and I thought it was finished but this tutorial helped me out.
My driver side mirror is loose/wobbly. Was yours not installed correctly to begin with. Did you just have to fully push and snap it in place?
@@PeaceLoveAndHappiness It was installed correctly from factory if that’s what you’re asking. I actually had someone come into my lane, and forced me a little too close to a sign and the mirror brushed against it, knocking the mirror loose and wobbly. Pulled over and was able to push it back into place with this tutorial.

Yes, the procedure is the same. The mirror is held on by the white square mount that is connected on the back of the mirror.

Do you know how to fix the IMID display if it goes dark?
Check the brightness control knob and Check the following fuses.

My mirror rattles when I close my door, does this mean I need to replace it or can I simply somehow tighten it somehow
Is it just the mirror it self or is it the entire side view mirror assembly that rattles. Can you physically move side view mirror assemly with your hands? Its possible that the entire mirror assembly is loose. In that case, you just need to tighten the bolts that holds the assembly to the door.

I bought one from Amazon for $35 for my Accord 1998. Have not installed yet.
Thank you! replacement was less than $30, a factory replacement assembly was going to be closer to $1000. This was a life saver!
One caveat. if you're replacing the mirror since it's cracked, cover all the glass with masking tape to trap most the fragments of glass.

Nothing more needs to be done. It will work with the controls once installed back correctly .
Didn’t work for me ended up breaking something and now my vertical power adjustment doesn’t work

Saved me $120-$300 from auto body places trynna scam me for two pieces that could come apart like legos! Called the dealer and got my parts ordered and on the way to me now😆

The mirror with backing fell off honda accord 2008. There are 2 balls and a whole which might have had a ball holding it in place not sure
