  • What do you have in your boat?
    We can only fit so much in our boats so we must decide what we need the most. What is in your boat? I have refined what I carry in my boat over the past 5.5 - years and I will show you everything in my boat. What do you have in your boat? We can all learn from each other so let's explore what we find is important to bring along.

    That ladder device is pretty cool, never seen anything like it, definitely might be helpful, but like you I haven’t tried to get into the boat from the water side yet, and hope to keep it like that.

    Hi Gerry...I love the intro. The other day I was out fishing and found myself distracted while I was standing up and a large wake came up and I went over the side... just held onto the boat and swam to the shore...That ladder would have been a blessing to get back on and keep fishing....I had a great spot... I always find your videos enjoyable and very useful.. in case I haven't said it before..You're the best!!

      Larry, wear gloves when assembling your trailer. There are many sharp edges. I assembled mine upside down until I got the wheels on it then flipped it over and finished right side up.
      Gerry

  • @allenbmooresharinginformation

    That Boca Grip is great for those toothy, slimy, and sharp finned beasties we come across. In addition to paddles I've got a duck billed push pole that makes things way easier when you are dealing with super soft muddy bottoms. Most stuff is just in the way until you need it.

    I really like your rope step! I can tell you from experience, it is not easy to climb back into the boat when you fall out!

    • @LunkerFishing
      @LunkerFishing  Před 4 lety +1

      Shiner Guy, I have fallen out of my bass boat when throwing a casting net (wet grass on freshly waxed fiberglass is slippery) and I fell out of the airboat at Southport when washing it in the slip with a 7' gator that hangs out in that area and a huge cottonmouth laying on hyacinths under the ramp that leads onto the dock. Another airboat was boarding right in front of me and all 18 passengers watched me go in. The Captain of that boat was on his knees because he was laughing too hard to stand. Both times were on Toho. I also fell out of my bass boat on a windy day with white caps in a tournament when standing running the trolling motor in Upstate NY.
      It sounds like you also have some experience on that issue, as your intro on your channel shows. Sorry, I had to laugh at that one! Gerry

    I removed the battery charger and in its place I installed a NEMA code 6x6 plastic box and on it, I installed a faceplate that’s has USB and auto ports as well as a voltmeter. On the side of the box I installed a switch for my bilge pump. I also have a similar ladder to get into the boat if I fall in as well as your pee bottle. 😃

    Well Gerry, I've got to say, after watching this video I'm gonna have put your name in the hat for the Batman utility belt award! I don't have a twin troller but would love to have one after watching your video! Hey what about a golf umbrella mounted to the rear of your seat for sun protection. And maybe a mushroom anchor and flares and a first aid kit for stationary positioning and safety. Oh and a Glock 26 for the relentless crock! lol I really enjoyed your Honda 2.3 end of season winterizing video. How about a Honda 2.3 carb cleaning/overhaul video? Keep them coming!

    • @LunkerFishing
      @LunkerFishing  Před 4 lety

      Navigatorbythestars, some other TT owners do the umbrella thing. It would get in the way of casting for me. I own several mushroom anchors but I do not fish in just one place so I use the pedals to keep me in place if I do. I have a small first aid kit in my emergency bag but do not carry flares. Glock, Ruger, S&W, it depends on how I feel that day. Be prepared is the Boy Scout motto. Gerry

    How long does your battery last before recharging...Ballpark?

    • @LunkerFishing
      @LunkerFishing  Před 3 lety +1

      Jim, I have the series 31 battery which is the larger battery. It is hard to say how long the battery will last because some days fishing I am using the electric more than others. I usually start my day at dawn and fish until afternoon. In the hot months I am leaving early afternoon because of the heat but in the cooler months I can easily be out until 2-3 pm or even later. I have never run out of battery but by the end of a long day I can tell the battery level is getting lower. I do not troll while fishing, as the name Twin Troller implies, and often crawl along casting constantly as I go or even stopping to fish an area for a while without moving much.
      I hope that helps. Gerry

    • @LunkerFishing
      @LunkerFishing  Před 3 lety +1

      Nathaniel, I have owned and operated many boats in my lifetime. When I found the Twin Troller I stopped looking at all other boats as a possibility for me to buy. The TT is very stable, stable enough that you can stand at will, I do not think you could flip it over even if you tried. I hope that helps. Gerry
