    Un consejo de un inglés nativo! En cuanto las comparativas, si no estás segura, siempre di “more + adjective”. Si te equivocas, sonará menos raro. Por ejemplo “more big” suena mejor como un error y entenderemos más que si dijeras “intelligenter”

    I just don't know how to improve my Portuguese. Living in Brazil just put even more pressure on me. I'm starting to understand more when people talk but the real skill is being able to speak it, right? I guess the main thing is to never give up hope. Thanks for all you do on this channel.

      Olá! Tudo bem?
      One approach to improve your speaking is to list a few common situations in which you are often expected to speak Portuguese - ex. ordering a meal at the restaurant, asking the doorman about a package you are waiting to be delivered, inviting a friend to go out on the weekend... Once you have done that, imagine how you would have those talks in your native language. It is important to keep it simple first! 😊 Then, the next time is to see how much of that you can communicate in Portuguese. Come up and write down different dialogs for the same situation. They can be short exchanges at first. Feel free to share them with me. I'll be glad to give you feedback. 😊

    Your lesson is great! Thank you! In one of your examples you used the word "rato" for mouse. What is the difference between rato and camundongo?

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Olá, Richard! Tudo bem?
      In fact I made a mistake there.
      *Rato* means *rat.*
      *Camundongo* means *mouse.*
      But, wrongly, Brazilians end up calling them *ratos* regardless of the species. And if they are tiny, *ratinhos.* But I made a mistake there. 😕
