    "Vêm" is like a multifaceted coin, with one side representing the verb "vir" (to come) and the other side representing the verb "ver" (to see). It's fascinating how one word can have different origins and meanings, depending on its context. This linguistic versatility adds richness and complexity to the Portuguese language! 😎😛😎

      What is interesting to notice is that although spelled differently - ele *vem* (he comes), eles *vĂŞm* (they come), eles *veem* (they see), all three forms have the same pronunciation.

      By the way, the sentence *Não sei como te agradecer* sounds more natural in Brazilian Portuguese. So, when you can't thank someone enough, it is better to say *Não sei como te agradecer.* 😉

      I’ll respond in English so I don’t make an error.
      You make everything understandable and your voice is very clear. I can really understand what you’re saying and how difficult words should be pronounced. I think you’re a perfect person to have podcast. Maybe half in Portuguese and half in English.

    Oi Bea, tudo bem?
    Tenho uma pergunta para vocĂŞ... Pode me explicar o significado do verbo "se desmanchar" e como vc ia traduzir em inglĂŞs.

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  Před měsĂcem +1

      Olá! É sempre uma alegria te ver por aqui! 😊
      *Desmanchar* tem alguns significados, mas todos têm alguma relação com *undo something* ou então *dismantle something.*
      Por exemplo:
      1. As crianças fizeram um castelinho de cartas, mas o gato pulou em cima e *desmanchou* tudo!
      2. Sem querer, puxei um fio do meu casaco a *desmanchei* a costura.
      3. Dancei tanto na festa que *desmanchei* meu penteado.
      4. Quando a festa acabou, *desmanchamos* a decoração das mesas e fomos embora.
      *Desmanchar-se* ĂŠ quando nĂŁo hĂĄ um agente causador.
      Por exemplo:
      1. As crianças fizeram um castelinho de cartas, e de repente o castelo *se desmanchou.*
      2. O casaco que comprei ĂŠ de baixa qualidade. Depois de um dia de uso a costura *se desmanchou.*
      3. Dancei tanto que meu penteado *se desmanchou.*
      4. Este chocolate *se desmancha* na boca.
      E tambĂŠm figurativamente.
      1. Eu *me desmanchei* de chorar no casamento! A cerimĂ´nia estĂĄ linda!
      2. Eu *me desmanchei* quando minha música favorita começou a tocar.

      @@PlainPortuguese e desmanchar seria intercambiĂĄvel com desfazer? Pelo que entendo, os dois sĂŁo bem parecidos nĂŠ? Ou estou errado?

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  Před měsĂcem +1

      @@deangelo17 A impressĂŁo que tenho ĂŠ que *desmanchar* pode ser substituĂdo por *desfazer,* mas o contrĂĄrio nem sempre ĂŠ possĂvel.
      Por exemplo - Voltei de uma viagem e a companhia aĂŠrea nĂŁo cuidou muito bem da minha mala. Preciso comprar outra porque a minha mala *se desmanchou* ou ... porque a minha mala *se desfez.*
      Quando cheguei em casa, a primeira coisa que fiz foi *desfazer a minha mala.* Tirei todas as minhas coisas de dentro da mala. Nesse caso, se falarmos *desmanchar a minha mala* significa que eu desconstruĂ minha mala.
      Outro exemplo em que *desmanchar* não Ê usado Ê quando falamos em situaçþes que precisam ser resolvidas, por exemplo *desfazer um mal-entendido, desfazer uma briga.*
