The word rot has a specific definition and certain foods do rot in your large intestine.

100% ACCURATE. I've been carnivore for just three months, and aside from the weight loss, the best side-effect was the (almost) total disappearance of IBS and the constant gas. That ALONE was worth it.
Carnivore is the best diet for me. Its perfect. no more bloating and i feel so light but I get so skinny after a few days. I dont want to look sick.😢
Also, a flat stomach 24/7. No bloating, no wind, no smells. 😊
I became constipated but no gas
my husband has the worst gas after eating onions 🧅
It is vile! 😢
Clear the room and peel the paint off the wall!😂😂😂 I love your sense of humor, Dr. Ken
After colon re-sectioning, my gastroenterologist said "don't eat grains, specifically oats, ever again!".
Smart doctor
I had many scans and trips to the gastroenterologist. They told me I had GERD and also IBS. They told me I needed MORE fiber! This of course, made things worse and I was in constant abdominal pain. On a chance coincidence, this guy at work would bring in oatmeal cookies once a week. I noticed after eating them I always had pain. Then I noticed the same thing happened when I had oatmeal for breakfast. Aha! It's the oats. I cut them out of my diet and no medication needed and no more pain. Thanks for nothing, doctors! But at least you got those copays.
Oats, my favorite food of all time... sends me within 15 minutes into a terrible cramping and diarrhea nightmare that lasts for days AND ends up in a diverticulitis attack. 😱😭 haven't eaten it in years. Meat and some fruit... are the only things I can do successfully
@@allywolf9182 Yep, me. too! I love oats but like you, haven't eaten in years.
@@CarsandCats Crazy, huh? When you can't poo, doctors always say "eat more fiber". SMH
Probably different for everybody. My mom ate meat eggs dairy beans greens cabbage. She would bite into an onion like an apple.🙄 Flatulence? You bet, bless her heart.😅 She managed to healthily "flatulate" herself to 103 years of age and rarely went to a doctor. Probably not the norm....
Staying away from doctors is probably why she lived so long.
Agreed, both sides of medical professionals preach their methods are the way, when in reality it's how clean and how often you eat your food.
My grandmother lived for 108 years and ate an onion a day. Lol😢
ALL DOCTORS ARE CRIMINALS
I think sugar, or lack of it, might’ve played a part in it.
Reading the comments, I see that many are confused about the video.
Dr Berry simply stated these facts:
1- meat doesn't rot in the colon
2 - if anything rots in the colon, it's plants matter.
He never said you should not eat the 7 foods listed, just be aware of the possible consequences!
Everyone wants to be offended about something as well as find a way to tell someone they're wrong, victim mentality and superiority complex 🤷🏻♀️
Agree. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Dr Berry recommending brussel sprouts etc. maybe I’m thinking someone else but I don’t think so
This is not known as rot. This is known as fermentation to butyrate which “nourishes”. the intestinal cells. And beans saved my life.
That being said - if you’ve lost the bacteria that metabolize these foods - of course you will have trouble initially.
If you lost the minerals you need to make sure SULFITE is converted to SULFATE - you’re going to have an issue
Dr Berry didn't say it but obviously you shouldn't eat these foods that are rotting in your body. Gas is evidence of your body fighting against the food. It is amazing to go carnivore and have no gas of any kind
If you listen to him often you will hear him repeatedly talk about how we need to be carnivores and not eat plants.
@@E_THE_G I have not watched him in a while but I’m pretty sure the last time I watched he DOES RECOMMEND it’s ok to eat broccoli.
I'm retired and living in an experimental travel trailer. In August 2023 I did a full conversion to keto carnivore diet. Coincidentally, I use a composting toilet with used coffee grounds as the composting medium. Since full conversion to the carnivore diet, the compost doesn't stink. Instead, it has an earthy smell, which is milder than peat moss. And, since conversion to carnivore, I have almost no intestinal gas.
before when i ate vegetables before converting full carnivore, my 💩 never smelled. And now, i am full carnivore, it still doesn’t smell. Like many my 💩 don’t stink.. j/k making a joke, but yes you are correct our bodies can process and use so much of the meat there isn’t the leftover biohazard rotting in receptacles. Imagine how much waste is saved by not eating things our body cannot digest.
Now that is fascinating!
Interesting!!
I believe it. I literally have zero body odor from carnivore.
Since I went on ketovore I’ve noticed when I sweat, that horrible stench of perspiration is not there. When I go in the sun now, I don’t burn nearly as bad as I used to. Skin tags disappeared.
All the raised garden beds will be filled with flowers this year. Need to look for some steak seeds, roast bulbs and ground beef tubers. Thank you Dr. Berry.
Great idea!! I was wondering what to do with MY raised beds! Was going to plant herbs...Garlic, Basil, Onions, etc., but I think I will just plant flowers, as well!!
Thanks for the idea! 🤩
I changed my vegetable garden into a real playground for chickens. My garden is full to beautiful flowers now!
Don't forget the bacon seeds.
I'm thinking
Not everyone could go vegan, not carnivore..
It could depend on the shape of their teeth?
How they are in mouth?
Those, who may have "larger" teeth, may do better as carnivore
Those with smaller, compared to others may have to be more
Omnivore?
I tend to have smaller teeth
My braces covered my entire tooth in mouth, while others looked longer
@@kathleenking47Even babies gnaw on bones and eat small pieces of meat.
I watched a video years ago that was posted by a person with an ostomy bag. What would plug the entrance to the bag was always vegetable matter. there was never any meat visible. Also, when was the last time you saw meat in your poop? Corn, yes Green peppers, yes tomatoes, yes..... but never meat.
I have steamed broccoli every day, and I almost live on red onions and garlic. I eat meats, sardines and other fish... no grains or oats, no bread, and I have no problem with my tummy, normal elimination in the morning, very little gas, and nothing rotting.
The paint on my walls is intact.
I have a hard time believing broccoli has no effect 😅
And for your genes, that is marvelous. May I ask your age? I’m 69 and my leaky gut from 36 years of low fat plant based eating caused horrible inflammation. All the foods you can eat are poison to my decrepit system. 🍳🥓🥩🧈rock
Actually, broccoli is a very good cleansing vegetable for your liver. If you have a fatty liver and you eat dairy and it gives you loose balls starting some broccoli just broccoli with good butter and a good slab of meat you’ll feel really good and your liver will. Thank you.
I ate all meat, lamb, beef, ground beef, liver, a couple times a month, chicken, eggs, hard cheeses, Parmesan Reggiano, mozzarella cheddar my dog also eats all that except for the dairy I make her dog food she’s healthy at 10 years old I eat sardines with no soybean oil usually packed in water I ate salmon, scallops, crab and lobster. If I can get my hands on it a good price that’s it.

Abraham-Hicks says the universe sends you what you are thinking about.
I'll bet your Dr has gmail and your name on his Google calendar.
People have been eating all those stuffs for thousands and thousands of years. On average, a meal takes 4-5 hours to completely leave the stomach. The surface of the small intestine absorbs anything that our enzymes have broken down into sufficiently small components.
There of course is hardly any bacteria in our stomach because of the hydrochloric acid there. Current data suggest that the healthy human stomach holds a core microbiome dominated by Prevotella, Streptococcus, Veillonella, Rothia and Haemophilus. A shift in abundance of Firmicutes phylum and the Streptococcus and Prevotella genera can be found in the H. pylori-infected stomach and in gastric cancer.
That gut bacteria go to work and digest some of the remainder, sometimes producing waste products that we can absorb. The remaining indigestible plant matter 'fibre’ and other waste emerge as faeces.
One of the main purposes of the stomach is to sterilize food by mixing and churning it within the muscular, acid-containing stomach
and stomach acid helped protect the body from food poisoning.
The place where fruit produces gas is in the colon, not the stomach. The colon is loaded with bacteria and acts as the body’s sewage system.
Food takes 6 to 10 hours to reach the colon n it does not really matter when fruit is eaten. Fruit contains sugar and vitamins, which are absorbed in the small intestine, and complex fibers, which pass through the gastrointestinal tract without much digestion. When the fiber reaches the colon, the colonic bacteria feed on the fiber and produce gas as a byproduct, regardless of when and with what the fiber was ingested. This guy talks as if it's a bad thing..total rubbish..everything will be passed out in the end as faeces. Those fruits n veggies provides the necessary fibre
Apple watch ?
Noooo!!! Not onions n garlic!!!😂😂😂 You're killing me!!😂😂😂😂
I take 4000k mg of garlic pills a day to keep my blood pressure normal😊
😄..
I like a little onion & garlic too, on my meat/eggs
I have eaten an onion a day for 50 years. I'm in great health at 65. No glasses ,no pain. Perhaps a little rot is good!
I immediately went into a foetal position upon hearing this. I’ll never be able to look at my bolognese sauce in the same light again. 😢😢😢
My diverticulitis immediately went into remission September 8, 2023 when I started carnivore diet. I used to have episodes about biweekly. I have had ZERO episodes since that date.
I eat all these foods regularly and I have no worries at all. To each his own.
You lucky! Time will tell.
Yeah, in a healthy gut they cause little to no harm, but that doesn't change the fact that they rot in the gut, if you are lucky enough the byproducts of that rotting will be useful, but the benefit for hypercarnivores like humans is negligible...
The real problem happens when rotting doesn't happen at all and you poop rock hard all the time because that fiber is getting dry by the colon and not degraded by any bacteria, that's when chronic unmanageable constipation develops and can only be resolved by eating no fiber.
Same here.
@@gabrielbarrantes6946 Yeah, it's truly all about gut health. Those who have to eat just meat don't have the bacteria they need to eat vegetables bloat-free. So be it. Maybe they took tons of antibiotics as a kid or something and decimated their flora. I dunno, but pushing whatever "perfect" diet someone thinks exists because it works for them is getting old...no matter WHAT that diet might be.
Meat starts rotting before it gets in your gut.
Now that I have been on the carnivore diet for several years, I think I understand where the old wive's tale about meat sitting in your stomach forever came from. The amount I poop has gone down dramatically. I realize now it's because your body uses so much of the meat, there just isn't much waste left. But, I can see where people thought it should be coming out like vegetables do (like corn that just seems to be there for the ride!).
When you eat corn you should say "see you later"
Makes total sense, thanks!
The hull of corn kernels is indigestible. So every kernel that you swallow whole (which is typically a lot of them) passes through unchanged.
Dear Ralph, thanks for the chuckle😄 "...corn that just seems to be there for the ride!)🤣😂🤣🤣
Same here. Went from popping at least twice a day to once every 2 or 3 days.
Nr1 Beans
Nr2 Wheats
Nr3 Onions and Garlic
Nr4 Oats
Nr5 Broccoli
Nr6 Cabbage
Nr7 brussel sprouts
Nr8 Cauliflower
Dang!!! I ❤️ those things!! But, I am SLOWLY converting over to the Carnivore Diet...At 62, I HAVE to make sacrifices to get and STAY healthy!!
Thanks for posting this list...Makes it easy to refer to! 😊

Dr. Berry I like you more and more every time I watch one of your videos. I luv your personality and humor, but most of all how you just say things very direct. Thank you for researching and sharing your knowledge with us.
I now have my sister following you as well. 🙂
Hello Dr Berry, can I ask where you're getting this information from? I'd like some resources on this, I've never heard of any food actually "rotting" inside.
I'd like this info too!
Did you not see his dictionary reference? Ever heard of the microbiome? It's full of bacteria and fungi that will ferment/rot anything that makes it to your colon.
Not hard to find info...Google it but read many different reports before believing any and vet the source of the site as well.
Yeah me too
Interesting side note. I started making food for my 3 Australian Shepherds last July, from beef and freeze dried beef superfood (beef organs, meat, pulverized bone meal, blood and other good stuff) as the main ingredients and rice for bulk. The amount of waste from all 3 of my dogs has diminished dramatically. What they do pass is most likely from the rice. I also see that they look phenomenal. Their coats are beautiful, two of them were overweight and are now normal weight, one was underweight and is now normal weight.
After being carnivore for a year, we decided to swap our dog to raw-carnivore. He's 8 years old, but has had hip dysplasia since age 2. After a few months on all-beef diet, his hip dysplasia symptoms have drastically decreased. He can run now and just walk stiff-legged for an hour or two, instead of hopping on 3 legs for several days, or limping heavily for that long with vetprofen meds. I'm afraid his vetprofen is going to expire before we use it up - and I'm so happy to have this problem!
Good job!! Love our animals! 💖💖💖

I’m transitioning my dogs and cat to just meat . Cats not thrilled but her food is getting so expensive now. We’re almost there with the dogs. Just finishing the last of the processed. Next week we’ll all be strictly carnivore
Yup - Cats are OBLIGATE CARNIVORES and dogs are SCAVENGING CARNIVORES. Sadly, so many pets die much too young due to being fed a completely inappropriate diet of kibble which is utterly DEVOID of nutrition for their specific biological needs. (KIBBLE = POISON). They may "survive", but they will never "thrive", and ultimately most commercial pet foods are as bad the 'Standard American Diet' for people. The Veterinary industry "Standard of Care" models the Human "Standard of Care" in the medical industrial complex. Stay as FAR AWAY from it as you can! Feed your pets a biologically appropriate RAW FOOD DIET and see them thrive for many years to come, with minimal to no vet bills. ✅
Carnivore ended (completely) a lifetime of terrible gas. After more than a year on Carnivore -I’m grateful!! 🙏💝🥩
So is everyone who loves and knows you eh!😂👍💝
Pretty much the same for me.
grains give that to me without fail and always. beef, eggs with some fermented vegetables mixed in after cooking is the best feeling meal for me.
My wife is amazed at the difference
I enjoy ruining people's serenity with my disgusting farts - especially on the train .
My grandparents are both still alive and healthy at 95 and 96 years old. They both have eaten mostly beans their whole lives. They have also eaten quaker oats as early as I can remember and they are both disease free and doing great. What works for some does not work for all, but I think Im going to continue following my grandparents diet. Their longevity is proof that these foods cant be that terrible.
Moderation. But their farts are probably putrid. My parent are in their mid 90s too. Always preached against processed foods , and seed oils, like canola, margarine and was big into farmers diets, eggs and butter. Didn't follow all the diet trends. Didn't smoke. Still are light drinkers.
It’s very very confusing what to eat…..there’s always a channel saying oats is good and another saying it’s bad etc. I get conflicting and don’t know what to eat
the foods they ate the first half of their lives was not as processed and altered like today's foods, so that plays a part but animal products are pure nutrition so they are healthier than any grains
Everyone is different
@@francobarry7304 - I was on the same boat. My doctors served only to let me get sicker than ever. Not a single word about nutrition whatsoever!
So after hitting rock bottom. Went on keto. And now carnivore... Result of the later: I call it a MIRACLE. Yes with capital letters and all. ;-)
I wish I would have started decades ago.
I ran across this video, while; eating a breakfast of oatmeal w/strawberries/apples, EVO, yogurt and cinnamon. I have white beans soaking on the countertop, and I've been totally immersed in these so called "rotting" foods since arriving in Greece two weeks ago - courtesy of their amazing Saturday markets. A long-term health condition has greatly improved, and I've rarely felt better! The Blue Zones have it right -- they thrive on these so-called "rotting" foods!
Exactly right. The blue zones diet has been proven to extend life.
I’m not listening to this man and sticking to my Mediterranean diet. It’s the best in the word
If you look at what so called Blue Zone diet really consists of youll find that animal products are the ONLY food that this diet is totally immersed in.
"Clear the room and peel the paint off the wall" - LOL Gotta love Dr. Berry and his honesty!😂
Lmao.
I know this kind of gas. I used to get it eating oatmeal with soy milk, when I was young and foolish. 😂 🤦♀️
If your dr is a dumbass and you complain of heartburn and they tell you to take nexium or some such acid blocker…this kind of toxic gas will result.
I've definitely passed farts that cleared the room, but so far, I haven't managed to peel the paint off the wall. Maybe if I ate more beans and cabbage.
My farts used to be legendary, co-workers claimed their mouse mats were curling up at the corners, one colleague said that I'd made the bathroom tiles fall off the wall. Now-nothing, but I can't shake my legacy.

Oats and beans dont bother me. Raw cabbage will make me gassy. 😂
Fermented foods have beneficial bacteria that feed your gut microbiome. Me too I love onions and garlic and ginger. I used to eat those everyday on the fish tacos that I would make. Not deep fried fish either. A finger of good ohi or Ono. With fresh herbs about a dozen of them out of my garden with onion ginger and garlic 2 corn tortillas with a little cheese in between them. Then fish the herbs maybe some spinach or whatever. I literally had a dozen or more different greens out in the garden. Then on top some nasty sweet chili sauce out of a bottle. I used to eat those damn near three times a day for years at a time while living in Hawaii. I have access to fresh fish fresh from the fisherman at South point. I had baby lettuce, Shard, spinach, and even horseradish. The leaves are excellent in a salad. I love lots of meat and fish but I also add a large salad at least once a day. I don't have any problem with it. But everybody's gut is different.
Good for you? Yeah, no.
I think we all have to pay attention to our bodies, some people are bothered with gas and gut issues more than others. I did carnivore mainly to reduce inflammation. So many other good side effects it is well worth staying with the program!
I have had terrible gut issues that started at 60. I simply increased my fiber and tried multiple reset diets and PPI's with little to no relief. 65 now and still suffering up until 4 days ago. I had started each day with a huge bowl of oatmeal to go with all my other fiber and good lean protien as well. Sheer misery. Dropped the oatmeal along with everything else and started carnivore this week. Stomach pain and bloat already 80% gone. Don't feel great as I am in the adjustment phase. I have reasearched the diet and gut biome topic to death and taken thousands of doses of probiotics with ZERO positive effect. I don't know what my final results might be but the feeeback on carnivore is maybe 95% positive. For every other diet to resolve gut issues the feedback is mixed at best. Yes, it's definitely worth a shot as being miserable for 5 years was not my idea of an enjoyable retirement. Love all the feedback on these topics!

I have been trying carnivore and lately have failed. Boy am I paying the price. I’m so full of gas. Back to carnivore. I’m going to definitely win this fight. It’s just hard in a household of eat whatever you want kind of people. My house is almost done and I can’t wait to move in and start with my journey with a clean slate. No excess food that is not needed in my house.
Yes, the hardest part I have is the others in my house eating sugar, carbs, beans, etc and remembering the 'good' times like birthday parties which are just sugar feasts. I once managed to clear out of the house all the temptations and for about 6 months it was much easier. No cakes and bikkies with my black coffee because simply, they were not in the house. Then Xmas, kids and grandkids and it all started again.
I've been eating mostly carnivore since late january 2023. Pavlovian conditioning has been in progress all this time. Each time I eat plants I pay for it with hours or a day or so of intestinal discomfort. I'm getting at the point where I'm starting to really think twice before eating plants. It's becoming harder and harder to want to do "indulgences". It took getting burned by the stove many times before my desires are finally recalibrating and taking into account what happens after I eat this or that.
It's one thing to know it in a narrow and very incomplete way intellectually and that was how it was for a long time and it's a different thing really be viscerally aware of the full ramifications of eating something that will have bad effects and have that factor into the desire to eat it.
I have been on carnivore for a while and my wife thinks i'm crazy and complains when I refuse to eat her "type" of food. It is getting to the point of me maybe having to move out and living alone. It is that bad. Marriage should not be a ticket to force your partner into their lifestyle.
You might have gut dysbiois. Worth checking root cause.
Same for me .

The last argument I got into with a vegan, he ran the same line on me about meat rotting in the colon and causing cancer. And I didn't know that veggies are what rot in the colon, but I did know that meat is completely utilized by the body and not quickly passed out through the stool and my stool is completely odorless on the carnivore diet, and that's what I told him. That vegetables and carbs produce foul-smelling gas and stool and meat produces completely odorless stool. So how can food that makes you feel bloated and stinks coming out of you be better than food that doesn't? And I got no further reply from him. 😆
Arguing with a vegan is pointless, I have found. Their views are intrenched. All you can say is how well you are feeling, and ask the odd question. Then agree to disagree.
Its damn near impossible to have a civilised “debate” with a vegan. They’ll constantly bring up the most BS things to counter what you say.
Actually, normal diet people who have been brainwashed will also bring BS to the table.
After starting carnivore, a restaurant server brought me mashed potatoes with my steak. Since it was there, I ate 3 bites of the potato. As I was leaving the restaurant, the gas started. I have not had a bite of potatoes since. The worst gas I ever had came from sweet-sour cabbage soup I had in a deli/diner in Highland Park. Brassicas just don’t agree with me!
There you go trying to be reasonable with a fanatic. It’s still good of you to try.

The only time my meat supply causes a fridge odor is when I splurge and get some sausage with a bunch of spices in it. Also, the only time I get notably gassy is when I splurge and eat that sausage with a bunch of spices in it. 😂
I gave up my refrigerator. She was always mostly empty except for a piece of cheese or kefir. Meat goes into the freezer and then straight into the stomach. Leftovers are for the cat and chickens.

You can’t member the last time you passed gas, is it because you bought an EV electric vehicle? 🤣😂

Garlic is a strong antimicrobial agent and acts as an inhibitor on both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Are you sure about this?
Yes, I occasionally take it like a supplement at night, ie. smash a clove, pour a few drops of fresh lemon juice on it, wait for 10 minutes and swallow it whole like a tablet. I've been Keto/ Low carb/ carnivore last 9 years. It has really helped me and also taught me what my body actually needs. We are all unique. I tend to incorporate leek greens, scallions and garlic when I feel I need them.
When It's whole and on its own... In the ground.
Yes garlic and onion is highly anti-microbial but human digestion would likely make it the perfect environment to dilute and neutralize some of the anti-microbial properties. Sure it helped you but I don't see what being anti-bacterial had to do with that.
Garlic and onions give me stomach inflammation and heartburn even in small amounts.
It also supposedly gives you magical superpowers 🤡
Very nice explaination God bless you and your family
Great info. Telling like it is!!!
Thank you Dr. Berry,

Great tutorial!!! So nice to learn health information with you. Many thanks.
Yep. We went primarily carnivore back in Sept. Aside from my wife and I losing 52 and 35 lbs respectively, we very quickly noticed the flatulence dropped significantly. To the point that on the rare occasion, we do fart, it is quite surprising and not paint stripping. Oh yeah, dropping from a 9.6 A1c in Sept to a 6.9 in mid-Nov and we both got rid of a lot of inflammation in the joints. It didn't hurt, figuratively and literally, that the Hemroids went away.
that was one of the things I was worried about starting the carnivore diet is I have really bad internal and external hemorrhoids and I was worried about an all meat diet having a negative effect.

Garlic has medicinal properties. Trust me, that's my go to for everything!! But perhaps we are not supposed to use it as a seasoning😢. Perhaps, it's just medicine... which you would only use when needed. I love both garlic and onion😅
I season meat with garlic & onions..some things balance out
Hi Doc! You maybe right or maybe not. I changed my diet a couple of years ago to add more veggies including broccolli, califlower, carrots, kale, onions and my fav Garlic, as well as brocolli slaw, kale slaw. After eating a small portions of meat or fish for supper and boiled eggs for breakfast, i noticed i didn't fart and my poop didn't smell. In fact, i reduced my toilet paper usage down to 1 (one) sheet. So that's why i gotta let you know some of your info my not be correct. Thanks for your understanding and consideration.

Well anyways I'm lucky if I don't have to use one whole roll a day. Been having more gas than ever I figured it was because I was getting old and I had to eat a lot of beans lately as I was having to stay in a cheap motel to survive with only a microwave and a tiny refrigerator I couldn't really have normal foods had to eat out of cans mostly a lot of beans I'm so happy I got a subsidized apartment finally and I get to use the stove I just wish I could get to the store no car I never had gas in in my twenties. Meet tasted very good when I was a child we had excellent filet mignon t-bone steaks and we weren't Rich it was only on payday but now I can't seem to find beef that tastes good it seems like the quality of the beef has gone down horribly and chicken too what's up with this is it my imagination or is the quality of this stuff gone down I can't afford the expense of grass fed and buffalo meets I wish I could. I'm on disability and I only get $945 a month and they cut my food stamps for some strange reason they cut them like by $100 this is happening right now March 2024 I don't understand why they're cutting my food stamps when nothing has changed about my income I told them that and they just brushed me off something is terribly wrong now. I'll tell you all another thing I lived in Roseville California in 1969 and I saw real anti-gravity craft all the time over that City and everybody else did too so y'all put that in your pipe and smoke it
@@kayhansen9229 ... yep, we do what we need to survive, even if it's eating a can of beans which i can say from experience does make a person have alot of gas. I'm happy to hear that you got into a place to live and can cook for yourself.
It's a real shame how the Govts treat older folks, especially us disabled ppl. I had my pension cut back in 2021 and every year until this year i got a small increase but it is far short of the original amount i recieved back in 2020. Govts lie about inflation and the continueous cost of living. They manipulate the facts to make themselves look better, total lies. At least you live in a warmer climate and don't have to put up with freezing weather like here in Alberta Canada. thanks.
You wipe with ONE SHEET of toilet paper? That is nearly impossible. I hope you wash your hands afterwards.
Thank you for your videos Dr. Berry.
I'm 47 going on 48 6'1" 195lbs and haven't fully adopted a strict carnivore diet just yet but I have greatly decreased my carb intake (100 or less a day) primarily by eating way less sugar and almost no breads or pastas along with increasing my protein intake from around 120-150 grams a day to 200-250+ (eggs, meat) and working out 5 days a week rather than 3. I have been doing this for nearly 6 months now and I had my blood work done the other day. I was expecting that my T levels would be around the same if not higher, only to have it say I'm 80pts lower from a year ago and of course my cholesterol levels were "high" according to the lab. I have gained 4 lbs of lean mass and lost 4 lbs of fat in that 6 months. My goal in changing my diet isn't for weight loss but more for weight management and muscle maintenance. AM I OFF FOR THINKING OR EXPECTING SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHAT THE TESTS SAY? Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.
Still Waiting for not being bloated and gassy and having stinky farts, and I am almost one year carnivore. Some of us have been more damaged by plants than others. I blame oxalates the most.
Have you considered Aged Meat? All aged meat bothers me. The longer it is aged the more it upsets my GI Tract. The longer it sits on the store shelf or the longer it sits in my fridge makes it even worse for me. I have to shop by the color of the meat.
Oxalates have done a number on my hubby. But we will persevere.
@@sheilam4964 everything and anything, like water, gives me gas. It’ll take time to heal. Getting unaged meat is virtually impossible. The closest I come to that is pastured pork slaughtered on farm near me. Pork is good. Also, oxalates are probably the source of histamine issues.
I’m trying the megadosing thiamin/B1 protocol to heal my entire gut and nervous system. It’ll take time.
Thanks for your comment.
@@sandygentry8455 indeed! Knowledge is power. Even more power is self-discipline and making proper healthy eating (and other) choices. It continues to boggle my mind how far away from actual accurate reality humans have strayed. Now when i read accounts of sickness and death, the underlying oxalate story is so clear to me, while all kinds of other stuff gets blamed.
Oxalates go to already damaged sites in the body and… damage them more. In the modern world full of “invisible” poison, it’s too easy to blame sickness on an actually invisible micro-organism, for instance, and have people believe it and use more poisons to “protect” themselves. Crazy.

Yesterday, a friend of mine asked me about the lack of fiber in my diet. I asked what is it good for? No answer. I mention its undigestible nature.
It is great for the profits of Big Food companies... actually 'money for old rope'!😂
Literally the tagline "feature" of fibre was "it prevents you from absorping nutrients". Why would I want that?! I'm so skinny its hard to eat enough as it is.
Helps bring blood sugar down. Was a key add for me bringing down prediabetic numbers.
@@Mallchad ya, man, you're so right. I couldn't get any weight even eating carbs, and when I turned to eating vegetables I only lost weight and got less energy than on easily digestable carbs. Right now being carnivore I just can't believe how stupid it was to eat fiber, thank God I figured it out finally.
@vincec727 don't eat carbs, that works better. Fiber only brings down blood sugar by not allowing your small intestines absorb the carbs you ate, but it pushes those carbs in your large intestines and rots. Forming alcohol and other bad things.
Many years ago when I was a young woman (in my early 30s), I would eat oatmeal made from steel-cut oats with soy milk and raisins and cinnamon. Yes, it tasted good. I would then peel the paint off the walls, wither my own nose hairs, and have to leave the room when I farted from that. You should make a distinction between those and sprouts/fermentations. Like cabbage and sauerkraut, so people don’t get the idea that sauerkraut is bad for them (the real lacto-ferment kraut).
