    I never knew how to do Netinstall until this great video. I knew this was the last resort for a messed up Tik router and to get it back to default after a router hack. Thanks you've helped me out many times with all your great Tik videos.

    I have used this method but I never see the router in netinstall router/drivers menu.... bt after 4-5 tries router automatically updates to the router os version that is under downloads folder ..... twice i have been able to do it in this way ..... one for rb4011 and another time for rb750gr3....

    I have one Mikrotik Metal 2. In that have only 2 interface WLAN1 & ETHER1 but after reset i can't find the WLAN1 is missing. I checked package section but there wireless package is install and it's enable but WLAN1 is not showing. What to do now? I tried to Netinstall but i can't. I tried many versions of Netinstall and nothing will help me

    Hi, I have a GrooveA 52.
    It powers up and indication of network communication from the LED is visible. I cant access it from winbox and the netinstall is not bringing it into the list.
    Am I correct to say that is now "File13" time.(throw it away, dit is gef*k)

    Hi Awesome Videos. So selfs as die router peromgeluk af gesit work wanner jy n upgrade doen met die OS sal jy dit kan red?

      Hang af hoe stukkend die router is, maar tegnies ja. Jy behoort met 'n Netinstall die OS oor te install wat baaaaie handy is en het my al 'n paar keer gehelp waar ek gedink het ek moet 'n nuwe router koop, maar kon dit reg maak met Netinstall.

    Hey i have a question. Why are you using netinstall 6.49 while you'd want to install the 6.48 firmware?. Is it something we should be careful about or not?

    • @TheNetworkBerg
      @TheNetworkBerg  Před 2 lety

      Netinstall is simply a tool, the OS version that you load is dependent on the package files that you download and want to install, be it an upgrade or a downgrade. The tool really just allows you to bypass RouterOS and sort of work on the Linux Kernel where you can basically "Re-Install" Router OS in the event of it ever going corrupt.
      The version of Netinstall simply makes it more compatible or bugfree on some OS's. Although honestly I've had many issues with netinstall where on one system it just cannot find the device in Etherboot mode and on another system with the exact same settings it would pick up the MikroTik so that the OS could be re-installed.
