As an Australian, I’d like to confirm many Qantas aircrafts don’t have IFE specially on domestic flights and service is more limited. So it was kind of unfair for Virgin Australia cuz that was domestic and the Qantas flight was international. Not a fair comparison tbh but great video.
Either way most qantas 737 on domestic routes give out a snack beverage and entertainment as long as free wifi so pretty much the same apart from the warm meal
@nothingbutaviation Apart from international and domestic being different products, if he compared like do like, yes, QF add something, but this is where he needs to consider value: is the QF ‘meal’ worth $50.00?
@@Nothingbutaviation_ it’s not slightly better. It just offers you more for more money. The real fair comparison should be like, are those extra offers worth the extra money?
Yes Qantas does usually have a crappy boarding check agents when checking in regardless of location in Australia, but Entertainment and food in the cabin makes up for it

Boeing deserves to be done dirty. If the fact that the whistleblower who worked as safety inspector who found so many flaws in the aircraft and was ignored when he reported them sued them. He was going to testify when he was found dead in his car.
On the first airport that you were at (Gold Coast airport) is really cool because it has the border between New South Wales and Queensland running through the terminal
apart from inflight entertainment for domestic flights on quants. But they are still both great airlines also with JetStar it is a budget airline but it is a very good one aseptically compared to spirt or Ryan air.
I can definetky tell the difference between Ryan air and virgin, I recently just had 2, qantas in a dash-8 and virgin in a 737, to sum it up, they were both good but qantas always takes the win.
Can you compare Loganair🏴 and Aer Lingus!🇮🇪 ( loganair is scotlands airline, and aer lingus is irelands airline!) And you can get flights direct from Toronto ( Air Transat ) to Glasgow International, which is LoganAir's hub
Qantas is a full service airline and you might be paying a lot more at some times(200+) while virgin Australia is a budget so you pay less to expect less.
HOLY MOLY! 7 minutes. You should fly fly safair since you haven’t flown an African airline yet! (Also they don’t check the weight of ur carry on and if they do see it’s overweight they don’t make you pay, if you want to be cautious it’s 7kgs)
Eric struk please pinyou are actually the best travel CZcamsr you can’t get better because you are already perfect P.S this is when the flights start for the fans: Virgin Australia 4:57 Qantas 13:36
Video idea for you: compare the qantas regional flight to the domestic flight via a Perth to Exmouth flight as the regional flight because if you are to spend a little time there it is stunning.
No it’s because he was recording and if people sitting next to him got disrupted then they know exactly why they are getting disrupted and also qantas gives the same service for everyone
The Virgin Australia didn’t have the the screens on the back of the seats because it was a domestic flight and the one from Sydney to New Zealand was a international flight so thats why you had a screen for the New Zealand flight and not for the Virgin Australia.
One consideration with the comparison of these airlines is pricing. Typically, on any given sector at any given time, VA will usually be cheaper than Qantas in both business and economy, although dynamic pricing can change that. Qantas food in economy can sometimes be a little meh and is not usually worth the extra cost but on a 3hr international flight, they’ll usually have pretty good food. I’ve seen flight reviews where people have been in a 2nr domestic flight in economy and been given an Onion Tart or something like wtf. Also, it might not have been announced, but on VA in economy, coffee, tea, and water are complimentary and everything else is buy onboard. With the entertainment, QF does have some 737s which are not fitted with the inseat screen but instead have streaming to your device. I don’t see this as much of an issue as most people have a device to use for inflight entertainment anyway. Where Qantas really shines is free wifi but it’s only available on 737s and domestic A330s. Most VA aircraft have wifi but you have to pay for it. I think it’s also tough holding delays against airlines as there are so many reasons why delays can occur and it’s really luck of the draw sometimes. ATC issues, weather issues, traffic density issues can all play a role and none of them are the fault of the airlines. Now-a-days, a delay of 30-45 minutes is pretty much nothing and can usually be made up in the air. Maybe I’ve sunk my expectations to the lowest common denominator, I dunno. My airline of choice at the moment is usually VA, but if I can snag a cheaper ticket on Qantas (or one that’s only slightly more expensive, I’d probably do it. Should also be said, I’ve never had a bad experience on either of these airlines, although I haven’t flown on QF since 2017
Hey Eric, this video just popped up on my CZcams Feed. Subscribed. I like the way you compare and contrast different airlines. I've flown both, and I used to think that Virgin Australia was better, but the pandemic took a huge toll on VA, perhaps more so than QF. VA got rid of all of the widebody aircraft that they used to have.

Nice video it looks like you spent too much time in the sun 🤗 may be it’s intentional and much longer flight that why their a meal service? Stay safe as always
as a frequent flyer for virgin, the inflight entertainment is a BYO, virgin is a \virgin low cost carrier like jetstar, they do the BYO so they can lower your air fares, you also did a international flight on qantas so that is why they gave you a meal, virgin also used to have inflight entertainment on the 777. on virgin services to say tokyo, they offer a free meal service.
the one problem I have with this video is that normally, a smaller flight (gold coast to Sydney) would not have such things like a screen or a free meal. where as on a longer flight (Sydney to Queenstown) would have a lot more amenities. AMAZING vid tho
Although a fan of qantas, you didnt compare apples to apples as one was a short domestic flight and one was international. If you fly virgin international i am sure you would get complimentary food just like qantas.
False. Virgin used to give out meals on long haul international flights which they no longer do. Even HND-CNS which is a 7hr flight you have to pay for food. Qantas also give complementary meals on domestic. You don’t sound like you travel often. Get your facts straight 🙄
