AIR KORYO

Alaska vs United
Hi portuguese guy right here! I think that you enjoyed the airline and the problem of TAP is not the flights is the adminstration because our governament is in a little crisis and TAP is a lot of polemic is Portugal because the governament want to make TAP a private airline (TAP is by now owned by the governament). The baggage situation its kinda normal. Also good video :)
The baggage delay that you experienced inside the plane is exactly because people like you with double weight on carry Ons make the flight get delayed. People try to bring the kitchen on board! and... complained. Go figure!
Not to talk about the corruption

Yeah, Portugal is a mess right now (I’m also Portuguese)

As a teen still either way Didn’t close my ears
I’m Portuguese and I fly most of the times with TAP, so I can say that the delays happen like 90% of the times and the baggage situation also happens but, like you saw, the seats are comfortable, they just use new aircraft’s and it’s normally cheaper than others airlines, so overall I recommend flying with TAP
Im Portuguese aswell
Tap sucks ryan air better 🗿
TAP is way worse today, it once was great!!! (I am Portuguese)
This is the A321NeoLR. Only those have this nice seats and inflight entertainment. They normally don’t fly intra Europe.
P.S. Love your Videos.
*Its called the A321LR and is a variant of the A321neo.
Yes, you got lucky with this flight, I usually fly to Amsterdam twice a year and never flown in this airplane. Most airlines don't give you a snack, you need to pay.
I went to Portugal in the summer absolutely LOVED it! Really wanna go again
Hey Erik!
I love your videos, could you please do the Spain worst and best airlines? Thank you very much and keep doing that incredible job!
Hello. Eric Struk, this was an amazing video. I wish I was there with you to experience this and all the other videos, the Spirt and Ryanair lines were the worst I've ever seen lol. Have a good Merry Christmas. This airline video was insane. I've never heard of these and the last video airlines, and they're amazing. I love the Emirates flight video. IT WAS INSANE AND LOOKS LIKE A MANSION. Keep up the great work Eric. Merry Christmas!
Their trans-atlantic A321LR has the most comfortable seats in all of eco/prem eco, and the meal services were amazing. 100 percent the best budget-friendly airline
Edit: I was actually on the star alliance livery plane at 5:00 for PRG-LIS
Edit 2: the Lisbon passport control for non-eu flights is beyond f***ing stupid. Same thing happened to me on my 2nd flight, however my gate was one of the ones right next to the exit for that so I was fine. Others were less fortunate and had to sprint across the terminal much like you did. Another thing I may add is at the gate I was at, you had to go through another passport check to enter the seating area for that gate, in which most had to stand since there were only about 60 seats for the 160 some-odd passengers on the flight.
Cool very cool
I flew on one of their A330’s from Lisbon to Chicago and it was the best flight I’ve ever had
I'm flying that this summer 😊
Flying it in business in September coming back from a wedding! Cant wait
As an Portuguese🇵🇹 I Can confirm i was very Happy to see English pepole in our country.
I did two intercontinental and inter-European trips with TAP in March of this year (IAD-LIS-BCN and BIO-LIS-IAD), with a stop at the ANA lounge both ways, and had a similar experience (except maybe I guy I saw unabashedly filling his pockets with sandwiches at the lounge). TAP itself is pretty solid, and a good deal. Really happy with them. I'll be using them going forward. The problem is LIS. We had similar delays because of airport traffic issues. There is simply not enough capacity. The immigration lines were atrocious: technological breakdowns, surly staff, and people cutting the lines. I was expecting a fistfight to break out. The worst I had ever seen. That said, TAP is great, but two caveats: 1) the "regular bill of fare" was a bit greasy, so on the return we had the lovely vegetarian option. 2) Give yourself plenty of time to go through immigration if you're leaving the EU from LIS.
Viagens felizes!
RE the lounge limitations. It's very common in Europe to have lounges assigned to 2 zones: Schengen and non-Schengen zone. For the latter, you'd need to go thru passport control before being let into the non-Schengen area
As a European this is a go to airline 😊
ive flown on TAP one time, and it was the worst airline ive been to.
1. i sat in row 5. when i was waiting for my food, i had to wait 25 MINUTES, for the stewardess to come to me from row 1.
2. just everything costed money
3. horibble flight, with alot of things being dirty
4. the plane (a319) squeaked so much, it was insane
5. so much delay
edit: forgot one thing , 6. WORST SEATS IVE EVER BEEN TO

Eric! Once again an amazing video! Maybe when your are in the US can you fly Sun Country?
What an interesting airline. The seat is interestingly comfortable, some staff were rude, some are not, in my opinion, the check in process and policies seem very interesting. Overall, a very interesting airline! Try and fly United’s international flights. Those planes are HUGE!!!
ok
alright
Love watch you, since there is so much you don't really know about while traveling. Keep sharing, and I look forward to upcoming videos. Oh P.S. I hope on that flight you took, you slept a little too. It seemed like you were struggling a little lol
I’ve been on a tap air flight and it was AWESOME! Wonderful quality!
I just recently began watching your videos and I really like your overall style. Your reviews are fresh and genuine. However just to further clarify both of your flights were international. Spain (Barcelona) and Portugal ( Lisbon) are two separate and independent countries, hence your first flight was an international flight. What you most likely wanted to say was that your first flight was an international intra EU flight and your second one was an international flight departing from an EU member state. Happy Holidays 🎉
He did say it was an inter-European flight, and confirmed Barcelona is Spain and Lisbon is Portugal, relax.
@@alfrredd he could've said the second flight was intercontinental instead of international.
POV: the pilot says only ronaldo fans allowed on tap lol
TAP has a huge number of kiosks to print your boarding pass in check in area A at Lisbon airport. I frequently fly TAP and they are pretty much the same as any other European airline. No better no worse. Delays happen with all airlines for a multitude of reasons. Their long haul is pretty good and way cheaper than many competitors. Note at passport control in Lisbon airport for arrivals and departures many passport holders can use the e-gates and avoid the queues. These include UK, USA and Canadian passports amongst several others
I went to the Bahamas for New Year 2024 on Virgin Atlantic. It was great apart from the fact that I couldn't recline my seat. From this video, I found out that I just had to push the button on my arm rest. I tried that on the flight because it seemed to be the only thing to try, but it didn't work. Maybe I was pushing the wrong one or maybe I had to push my seat back will pushing the button. Thanks for confirming that that button is defiantly the one to press to recline. I'll try and remember this for the future.
Narrowbody for long haul is becoming the normal. The LR is perfect for this type of long haul. TAP should have gotten the Airspace XL bins.
It's terrible. I would never want to be in a 3 by 3 configuration for more than 5 hours and should never be the norm.
Can we take a moment to respect how much time, money, and effort Eric puts into these videos. No matter what happens, he will always be there to post a video just for us. Recently he went through a breakup but next week he was still there to get a video out for us. Truly one of the best youtubers out there.
He's totes underrated and among my favorites.
he doesn't know crap about aviation, clickbaits and then just states crap. yes he does spend money flying but he doesn't know anything about aviation and anything logical he doesn't know either. "Traffic problems in Lisbon not letting us land" it's called a flow time.

Hi there, first time viewer and I like your commentary and style of reviews a lot! I fly from Toronto quite a bit and was wondering how do you find such cheap flights? I’m having trouble finding anything below $1000 for transatlantic. $540 is an amazing deal?! How far in advance of your flight did you book it?
Happy holidays to you too Eric. Can tou please try and fly with British airways next. (And when your in Australia please fly Qantas)
As someone who works with LIS airport a lot, Slot issues are really frequent, airport is at capacity and there's plans for a second airport in the Lisbon area due to that.
Can you do a video about doing a lowest cost flight internationally within Europe? As in no ad ons or lounges etc? love your videos
Also LISBON is the hub for TAP, spain and Portugal are different countries
Do A Korean Airline battle (Korean Airlines and Asiana Airlines) A Japanese one (Japan Airlines and ANA) and finally, do a combined battle ( There are 2 sides:The Korean side ( Korean airlines and Asiana Airlines) And the Japanese side : Japan airlines and ANA) The rules (for the combined battle) are: you compare the Korean airlines and create a table. Then do the same thing with the Japanese airlines. Finally, you take the winner (you decide) from both sides and put them head to head in a part 2 and the winner wins the Korepanese ( it’s pronounced Co-re-pa-nese) cup. The winner not only gets the Korepanese cup, but also gets the award for being the best airline in east Asia( Only Korea and Japan though) Besides, Love your videos and keep up the good work Eric!
I booked a flight for this summer with Iberia from LA to Madrid. It was only 345$ round trip, so I guess I’ll see but that is still a lot cheaper
Eric I travel a lot and have really been enjoying your vids.
I also flew this route from LIS to YYZ and the passport control also took so long. I almost had to run to my gate.
Nice video!! You were really lucky to get the A321LR in Europe flights, they are usually used in transatlantic flights to Canada, USA and Brasil. The seats are the same as the A330NEO.
About the meal service in European flights it’s Sales Service.
The aircraft is the same :-) A321 Long Range 😊
Usually the menu is available in the IFE.
The cake is Cookie Cake (Bolo de bolacha) 🤤 delicious.
Lisbon airport has a big problem with traffic and being the biggest operator there TAP suffers the most with delays.
You had lucky with the BCN-LIS flight getting that aircraft not experiencing the usual model that operates there with different seats. The 2nd flight could be the A330 NEO the only difference being bigger cabin and no individual air outlets 😂.
Keep flying TAP 😊❤
He is so nice he said if ur a kid cover your ears good vid eric !
the sala lounge definitely reminded me of istanbul’s airport lounge
Very interesting airline, you should review their business class!
You are amazing I love your videos!
Hey Eric, Hate to correct you but I think the extra leg room seats are called Premium Economy.
When I was looking to book a flight from the US to Portugal (for an upcoming trip) I decided to take a chance. One, because TAP was the only airline that flew direct from the US (Chicago) to Lisbon. All other airlines had connections and some connections were very long like 20 hours in some cases and some were too short like less than 90 minutes which for me, is a concern in general even if flying domestically. The bigger issue I found was that many airlines from the US also partner with airlines in Europe which itself isn't bad, but when you have to check a bag (which I do have to unfortunately) this greatly increases not only the risk you might miss your connection (as the flights I was looking at had layovers from 90 minutes to 4 hours), but also that your checked bag may not get on the connecting flight. So I took a chance and we'll see if it pays off (I don't necessarily mind the delays since it is a direct flight, and providing my bag makes it on the plane, then I don't mind that either since it is direct), so we'll see. But I think if you look at other airlines (like I compared them to Spirit in the US and Spirit and Frontier who are also very budget carriers and often delayed too, got worse reviews from US travelers, not to mention Spirit and Frontier charge for EVERYTHING). Even compared to mid-tier let's say 3-star airlines like Southwest, they only scored a 3.5 / 5 on average versus tap which was 3 / 5 (Spirit and Fonrtier were like 2 / 5 and 2.5 / 5). But then again, I've flow on Spirit too and for a red eye with a carry-on and a backpack, I only paid $80 one way which is cheap with a carry-on and the flight left on time and arrived early so I can't complain there, even though the seats were maybe not the most comfortable (it was a 4 hour flight though).
And to those who think bigger airlines like United are better, not necessarily. My sister's flight back home from California was cancelled at the last minute and she was forced to stay at a hotel and come back to the airport the next morning (it was an 11pm red-eye flight across the country) so cancellations do happen. I think the key is to try to avoid travelling during busy times or peak times of the year/week. But as to the landing issue for LIsbon, that's usually where a lot of delays occur I think, is that at least in the US and probably worldwide, planes have to secure a slot to land at the destination airport before they can even take off so that part sounds about normal as I've run into that a few times on trips, where we are on the ground for an hour waiting for a slot to open up at the destination.
\
In a nutshell, I guess your video does give me some comfort that maybe I made a reasonable decision (as all other options included 1+ stops, and I would have to fly a day later for cost reasons, and it's a direct non-stop flight from the US to Lisbon which is also a plus -- it minimizes the time I need to spend in planes).
I have never seen Eric so mad.😂 13:51
You were very lucky to fly the A321 Long Range, because in the normal ones, its extremly tight for an not Budget airline
I Have No Problem With TAP Have Experienece In A330-900 In Business And A321 LR In Business. The Product Was Ok For Me.Great Trip Reaport
@ericstruk, try flying Korean Air any class from Toronto or New York to Seoul. Korean Air is one of the world's best, and they got a 5 star rating on Skytrax
Yes they are great, but the cockpit is a wild guess. Just pray the pilots know what they are doing. On their SFO crash the pilots didn't know how to land a plane by hand, they rely on the autopilot to land the plane.
@@rui8492 I'm talking about Korean Air, not Asiana
@@UnidentifiedBabo you right. But Korean air had a ton of crashes they blamed on cockpit culture. I have flown with them and their on board service is excellent.

Hey Eric , im a big fan of you and you are the best canadian out there but have you ever flown WestJet i want you to try it!
I hope you can try the Emirates A380 between London and Dubai.
i love when he was swearing:)) it was so funny
Tap Air Portugal uses the Recaro CL3710 seat model for their economy class for all of their new international aircraft. ANd the reason why they use the A321neoLR is because there is a new trend of using smaller aircraft for long haul flights which have low demand that does not justify usage of a widebody like the A330neo, soon Airbus would launch a new version of the A321neo titled as the A321XLR which should be the longest range passenger narrowbody in the market.
Can you do UK leisure airlines (TUI Vs Jet2)

I like flights, keep make videos of flights 😊👍👍👍
Good video quality, but for those seeking professional flight review (the level of Sam Chui, Non-Stop Dan, Josh Cahill, etc…), this is probably not the right channel. A few points: 1) Intercontinental flights departing from EU normally come with document check and in person check-in notification is quite often seen on your mobile so far as you are not a EU citizen; 2) air traffic control means there are too many aircrafts flying on the same route approaching or through Lisbon, but the airport is perfectly suitable for landing; 3) It’s your responsibility to make sure that you stand in the right line at immigration (there’s only two after all, EU and non-EU); 4) You were onboard A321LR on both flights with the exact same seats. This narrow-body aircraft is specifically designed for transatlantic intercontinental long-haul flight between secondary European cities and North American destinations. You were just lucky to have flown this aircraft on that first short segment; 5) TAP Air Portugal is the flag carrier of Portugal, so it not just “mostly” operate in Portugal, it is the national carrier and THE only national carrier of Portugal that is headquartered in Portugal; 6) There aren’t that many airlines in a tiny country like Portugal at all, and TAP is the only major carrier of Portugal and there is no other major competitor of TAP anyways, so the title “Best of Portugal” is truly pointless.
You should try flying El-Al

I have flown with them before to Bangkok Thailand . They are a Taiwan airline so I think you would like it . The customer service was amazing and their economy seats are really comfy with inflight entertainment and there baggage weight are really good I think their except about 30kg or 40kg of baggage something like that and the flight attendant great you as you walk into the aircraft and the aircraft was pretty clean as well . Lots of room for bags in the upper compartments and the room for bags are good . When I flown from Heathrow airport to Bangkok I had 3 meals on the flight and did not have to pay which is great for people who don't want to pay for meals .
