    How does the install differ for a helmet without a removable liner? I have a Shoei Quest, and the cheek pads come out, but not the liner. I'm also curious about the Slim as an option for this helmet.

    • @JakeTher1pp3r
      @JakeTher1pp3r Před 4 lety

      Matt Heere Best way to fit it to the Qwest is to use a flat instrument (a lolly stick for example) and push the spare speaker wire between the liner and the shell..then tuck the jack connection under the cheekpad. The slim is a basically a “Cardo Smart H” which was designed for HJC helmets..doesnt fit too well in another brand except HJC

    I have just installed my Bold and I am finding that I have the opposite problem with the speakers sticking out too far into the helmet. After an hour ride, I was getting a pressure headache from the speakers. Is it safe to remove some of the helmet styrofoam to recess the speakers a bit? I own a LS2 Valiant modular helmet.

      Hi,
      It's never safe doing changes to your helmet.
      Every helmet and especially every head are different so sometimes you will need to find the best comfortable place to install the speakers, even if it's not in the designated place in the helmet.

    I’m stuck! The cutout pockets for the speakers in my Neotec 2 aren’t deep enough to allow the speakers to seat far enough in so that they aren’t pressing hard on my ears. The speakers are about 1/8” wider than the tapered cutout to seat at the bottom. I took out the spacers and it didn’t help at all. I cannot afford to buy another $700.00 helmet and I cannot return the $500.00 Cardo unit because I’ve gone through the installation process. Any suggestions that doesn’t involve me spending another huge bunch of $$$?

    I'm proud owner of Packtalk Bold. It is great, but one issue makes it uncomfortable to use. My iPhone is set to use Siri in Russian (all other menus are in English). Cardo is set fully in English (because Cardo's Russian sucks, sorry for that). Problem is: in such combination 'Privet Siri' does not work. Only if I set my Bold's menu to Russian 'Privet Siri' activates Siri in my iPhone. Is there a way to call Siri in Russian, while Bold is set to English?

    kind of dumb that it took me this long to figure out. For the flat plastic piece w/the femal headphone input, if you are using the adhesive, you need to remove the plastic clip.
    In order to remove the clip, you slide the plastic clip downward.(that was the part I was stuck on). They didn't show in the video.

      You just need to be careful with the microphone. If you put it on the part that flips back, you lose microphone and have potential issues with the cord. So you may need to use the boom but that will be a tight fit.
