I can hear the stress and efforts of Ghantasala to sing this beautiful song. This song almost killed him. For a person who was suffering from asthma and diabetes singing this song is a death blow. Singers like lata and Rafi can only sing on high pitch. Ghantasala was good and I think still he failed in this song. Please correct me if I am wrong. Still this song was a hit

He himself being a music director and has the touch of classical music the speed or high pitch is as simple as peeling a banana to him . Just watch Shivashankari song in Jagadeka veeruni katha. Do you think it is not enough to say his speed or clarity or pronunciation or pitch or melody . If one likes any other singer it will be their choice and there is nothing wrong in it . But a singer unparalleled on Earth should not be belittled comparing to others saying still he failed. Not fair

Ghantasala could have sung this song way better in his prime. Due to his ill health he has to put more effort in this song which is visible. But still his singing of this song is unparalleled with utmost clarity and right feel. Rafi might sing in higher pitch but Ghantasala's voice has much more weight than him, only comparable is Kishore's voice.
