if any chance you are reading this, Merg is basically a guy who likes to no-hit bosses in undertale and it's fan games, he seems to know and probably played bullet hell/platformer before (like super meat boy and some touhou) he basically played and no hit a number of undertae fan games, gaining popularity from it

Underverse and Xtale are genuinely and unironically fantastic. From a story perspective and an animation perspective. I personally cried during Xtale.

Undertale was a huge part of my childhood, dare I say life; I was 13 when Undertale came out, and I immediately fell in love with all of the stories; watching some of this videos, and references to Undertale creators that I still remembered the names of after nearly 7 years.... I forgot how much this game made me happy. And that mirror really does speak to me, because after all these years, all these other games I've played at least some part of me is still here from that time. The me who would sit in the school library at lunch practicing the Sans fight on a website emulator of the game. Holy shit, I'm crying so much, but it's good tears...

Like, when i got out of school and was just kinda thrown into adulthood, and for like a while, everything was kinda confusing.
Now im 23, messed up a good amount because i didnt listen to any well meant advice people gave me, basically wasted 4 years in terms of career, still have a relatively decent job, am doing good and got enough free time to hang out on youtube and watch undertale content.
So, yknow. I think, if you dont just start complaining about everything, like some do, and appreciate that good things happen as well, adulthood is pretty neat.

Actually, for the blue/white repeat attack, you don't have to move backwards. If you just tap jump very lightly after the blue bar, you go just high enough for the white bar and you land before the next blue bar gets there.

i remember in my early undertale days I used to absorb fanfiction like a plant absorbing sunlight
the only thing I remember from that era is reading about fresh sans being a dog, and the ink sans and error sans had a baby together but the error sans wanted to kill the fresh sans because idk he was a hunter and girl got over 20 thousand reads

I still await the underverse reaction because the series is just extremely good. It can be confusing at times, but the story is outstanding once you get it, and even if you dont, the animation quality is just nice to look at.

If there's only one AU I would recommend to watch to get the feeling of characters knowing at least about the timelines, but without getting into much complicated stuff like with Underverse , it's Glitchtale.
For anyone not already knowing about it and being interested about it, only the first episode was watched there, and it kinda lingers in the type of pure fighting animation for a bit, but it does get into its plot in the end, s1 ep3 is where it kicks off to become the masterpiece the community knows and love.

Undertale is an enigma, i fully believe there could an entire thesis based in psychology written about the damn game and its fandom at this point.
Its both an incredible and horrible experience, having been one of the people to have the seen the entire process of the game’s growth start to finish, i was THERE on the kickstarter just when it was just starting up, seeing it now and what it’s become is honestly the most incredible and awe-striking experience I’ve ever had.
Now there are AU’s, inception level meta fan-creations, multiverses built into multiverses built into omniverses, the list goes on and on about how much there is and how much it has grown.
I think this is something more than a meme, more than anything anyone could have ever anticipated.
It is a work of art and it. Is. Amazing.
I think its a safe assumption to say that, this is a completely different corner to the entire internet.
You have the meme corner, the news corner, the sports and fitness, etc.
This fits into its own category ENTIRELY, and i doubt there are many that would disagree.
With all of that gushing out the way, in respect of the nature of this video and the videos reacted to in it, i welcome all of you to the good, the bad, the crazy, and the awesome that is The Undertale Community.

Camila´s original Glitchtale episodes, the better songs, like adrianas, the good meme-stuff, and so on.
There´s a lot of "younger audience" stuff in there, which is what you kinda ended up here.

it starts off very slowly, lasts for 20 mins (and he was at the end of the stream debating to end it there or not), and even then I don't find it as funny as the pacifist one
I love that WWE clip. I haven't watched a single episode of WWE in my life, but I love this pixel style indie game grew so big it got a wrestler to buy a costume of a skeleton in pink slippers and it ended up being an awsome entrance.
All the animations were cool and all but I would've preferred it if he actually reacted to more lore. ^^ The lore/story is the best part of the game, and it would've been awesome to see him react to all the little easter eggs and details rather than react to old animated music videos that are just cringey now.

seeing someone react to all the undertale aus live in a condensed space is so weird.........i literally watched that slow evolution live on tumblr at like 13 or 14. ive never been a huge fan of aus but the sheer unavoidable nature of all the undertale aus was certainly something. cool but absolutely insane behavior. i feel like growing up on the internet at large has made me realize that, with the sheer size and scope of people online... anything out there that you can imagine most likely exists in one form or another. especially in fandom circles.

I remember getting Gaster my first successful playthrough of passafist route. (I kept reseting at the time cause I kept being stuck at the mad dummy looking back it was dumb but still)
its really crazy how big undertale got. i was one of the handful of people that knew about it back when it was still just a kickstarter. toby fox used to be the head of the music team for a webcomic called homestuck that i was majorly into at the time and i knew people that knew people that knew him. didnt back the game personally but i did play the demo back in 2013 or so or whenever that dropped. its really weird to see how big the game's reach has gotten when you’ve been following along since ground zero. absolutely insane

Idk, I think all the AU's are cool.
AU's are one of my favourite things in all the fandoms I'm in; its fun to see what could happen if one or more things were different
Hell, look at 'Transformers' for example. Every new series is a different AU using the same characters and same basic plot. But they're great (well . . . most of them anyway . . .)
Once you're done with Deltarune Chapter 2, I'd highly recommend watching some Deltarune lore videos too! There's so much to go into with how little we know. it's insane.

Actually, yes it is. There are more and more Undertale videos claimed by the day because of the company that distributes the Undertale and Deltarune OST. You will actually need licenses now to profit from Undertale videos on CZcams. Google could tell you more about it, I assume.

Well, most of this was just fan content, crazy fan history and little lore. Not that that's bad, but I was basically ready to theorize lmao. Also, dude, you skipped out on sooooo many great animations-

Underverse and Xtale are SO FREAKING GOOD it's insane. It's so hard to recommend it to people bc of the massive amounts of knowledge of the undertale fandom you have to have to appreciate it but it's FANTASTIC. If you ever decide to watch it on stream I'm 1000% there, I'd love to see your reaction
How should one get the background knowledge that benefits the underverse(movie) experience?

Whoo boy, you're in for a long journey if you really want to do this bucko, but if you're up for it I promise it's one hell of a ride!
First of all, you should be pretty familiar with everything that happens in Undertale, be it on Genocide, True Pacifist or Neutral routes.
After that you kinda have to get some understanding of the many, many AUs that make up Underverse/Xtale , which is gonna be the most time-consuming part of this whole thing but it can also be pretty fun!
Still, if you just want some quick background you can look up the most relevant AUs/characters in the Undertale AU wiki (i.e. : Underfell, Underswap, Outertale, Dusttale, Dreamtale, Inktale, Errortale, Aftertale, Core Frisk and the omegaverse, Fresh Sans, Killer Sans, Horrortale, etc. Those are the most important ones I can remember off the top of my head but for a more comprehensive list you can always boot up the Underverse Season 1 Opening and it should show you which AUs are included and who created them)
If you'd like to look at some cool art and comics as well, each wiki should have a link in there somewhere to the original comics etc for the AU (most are in tumblr I think). A few of the AUs are too vast and/or their origin too vague, I'd say, to just scroll through all of the art for them looking for relevant info, so... (*tip: put /chrono after whatever tag you're browsing on someone's Tumblr blog so that you can check out stuff from beginning to end instead of starting from the most recent entry :)
- for Underfell, consider reading the Underfell comic by Kaitogirl on deviantart or the Soulfell comic by rainbowchibbit on tumblr, both are great
- check out min-play on tumblr and their Underswap tag for some adorable slice-of-life art
- loverofpiggies on tumblr (aka Crayon Queen) is the original creator for Errortale, Aftertale and Fresh I think? They have an archive in their blog for both Aftertale and the Errortale ask blog, I recommend checking out both. Aftertale is a fantastic story all on its own and Error is just a lot of fun
- I think the best Core Frisk experience is definitely with their original creator, so check out the "core!frisk" or "cf" tags on dokudoki 's blog on tumblr; their art is adorable and occasionally heartwrenching
After that, when you feel like you've learned enough, feel free to check out Jakei's Underverse saga. You can do it either in chronological order in-universe (which would be Xtale Comic then Xtale videos then Underverse seasons 1 and 2), or you can check them out in the order they came out (which is Xtale comic then Underverse s1 then Xtale videos then Underverse S2), it's up to you, though I'd recommend the latter.

I actually recently got the Mystery Man room, in my most recent Neutral route, the first one on my new laptop, and I was actually just showing my niece the game and doing a full playthrough with her, when I found the corridor WITH the door in (I once found the corridor without the door in it), and I was like "OMG WTF I'VE NEVER GOTTEN THIS BEFORE MY NIECE IS A LUCKY CHARM LMAO".
So I went in the door and said hi to Gaster and he screamed and disappeared lol
First and so far only time I've gotten Gaster, and it was by total random chance (most people, I believe, who get Gaster, have done so by manually manipulating the FUN value of their games, not entirely sure though).
Hey pointcrow! I LOVE your streams and me and my sister want to start doing some of our own. Do you have any recommendations for what computer or any other details? It would mean so much to us!
Hi! Obviously I'm not pointcrow, but I can offer some simple advice on what roughly to look for!
You'll want a pretty decent PC, ideally one with a good graphics card (especially if you're planning on doing gaming streams). I recommend Nvidia GeForce graphics cards, they're mainstream, have lots of software to back them up and are good quality. Keep in mind, a good GPU is going to take up the majority of your budget for a new PC!
Many prebuilt gaming PCs come with specs that work for streaming, but if you want details like what CPU is good, you can find all sorts of guides and charts online. Prices will obviously vary.
If you want to stream console games, you'll need a capture card, and Elgato is once again the big mainstream brand. Expensive, but high quality. I got my basic card (HD60 S) for £129.99. Keep in mind, most capture cards work smoothest with Windows PCs, and most also require USB 3.0 to work, so check what your machine supports!
I'm not a streamer so I have no clue on recommendations for cameras, mics or the like, however its hard to go wrong as long as you get something with good reviews that's built for what you need, and remember that if you're looking for quality, then don't be afraid to spend extra money (it'll be worth it!).
In case you want an example of a price range, I got a new prebuilt PC about 6 months ago which would be fit for streaming and video editing. It cost me £1100 for the machine, and I got it from Lenovo in case you want to find something similar in your country.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB SSD
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Other basic features: Bluetooth connectivity, USB 3.0, extra slots for more RAM, total of 7 USB ports.

I would love to see you react to all of glitchtale. The story is amazing and the animation and graphics improve with every episode. In episode one it looks like a cartoon, and in the finale it is the equivalent to a full on anime.

Holy shit... Watching Super Eyepatch Wolf's video, as someone who has watched hundreds of hours of Untertale content, be it 50+ unique let's plays of the original game, lore videos, fan animations, or music videos, not even I realized just how huge this had gotten- I've known of things like Underfell, Ink!Sans and Error!Sans and all those popular characters for a while, but I did not realize there were hundreds more AUs out there than just the 30 or so that I knew about.
But I still agree- the community is trash. A lot of the creators and some of the fans are good, but most of the wider audience is way too eager to share their die hard fandom of their favorite characters... And it ruins the experience for casuals and even hardcore fans like me.

honestly matpat was wildly off base with most of his undertale theory videos. theres better lore theorists out there like halfbreadchaos and andrew cunningham. they mostly deal with deltarune tho but theyre a lot more in touch with the actual lore of the story than matpat's crazy "sans is ness" theory
