it's a metafore. Means that u are not in home anymore, you are on outside lands, out of your confort zone, and maybe on danger. The social literality scares me... there is more begind the words in the art. ALWAYS
I can't believe I never realized how overused & cliche that phrase had become; especially considering I've seen almost all the things those clips were from.
The scene is a nice suburb, beautiful weather, nice lawns, driveways, pools, clean air, reasonable traffic, people don't react with hostility upon the slightest greeting or sign that you will interupt their day- well we're not in Moscow anymore

@Mithi1970 I was so surprise to see it in this vid, I remember hearing it but I never thought someone would notice... In this Crichton does look like the most insane of the whole bunch of people not in Kansas :P
Recently I saw that Criminal Minds episide and I was thinking that the quote is used in way too many tv shows and movies. So this video was very amusing to watch XD
What bothers me most is none of them even quote it right. The line is "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." They always misquote it as "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."
Love the vid :) but I have to say that the WHOLE time I was expecting the Futurama or Phineas and Ferb one. I mean, you managed to get the most obscure ones; but those ones seemed pretty obvious.
Feels like it is fading into obscurity. I wonder if any of the references we have seen are referencing the references. Avatar was the biggest movie in the world. So you wonder if some kid who grew up with that movie might throw in "you are not in Kansas any more" thinking it is an odd Avatar reference and not knowing the link to Oz.
@N64iac Thanks buddy, now I understand. Toto is the name of the dog, and this expression was used originally in the movie. Sorry for my English; Jones.
can you do this with other iconic quotes from the movie? "your little dog, too..."; "there's no place like home"; etc, etc... I tell my EFL students that can't understand US culture if they don't know this movie... It is referenced and quoted so often. It has become part of our collective subconscious.
Nice one. This compilation should be shown to every scriptwriter who thinks they're the first person who ever thought of quoting that line. Let them see how lazy and cliched they are. Maybe they'll work a little harder afterwards.
Yo I'm still in Kansas, and it kicks ass!!!! Did the enthusiasm work? O and btw Oklahoma Nebraska and Missouri and Colorado Can Suck it, cause at least somebody's trying to get back to Kansas
"They're not in Kansas anymore, are they?"

Well, that's a sentence I can never say, mainly because I've never been to Kansas.
it's a metafore. Means that u are not in home anymore, you are on outside lands, out of your confort zone, and maybe on danger. The social literality scares me... there is more begind the words in the art. ALWAYS
This is your best montage yet. Beautiful!
I feel happy living in Kansas.
I can't believe I never realized how overused & cliche that phrase had become; especially considering I've seen almost all the things those clips were from.

In this Crichton does look like the most insane of the whole bunch of people not in Kansas :P
I was so excited to see the sailor moon clip in there!
You should totally make the ultimate Wilhelm scream compilation.
My favorite part is when they say "We're not in Kansas anymore"
fav scenen from these, definatly original wizard of oz, and supernatural!!
Come on! It's only worked for Smallville (cause they really do live in Kansas)!
I can't believe you found Sliders and Planeteers clips. Awesome!
F**KEN AWESOME!!! GREAT VIDEO. KUDOS!
Nothing but dust in the wind.
Hilarious!
Great job.
Horatio put sun glasses on ... we are not in kansas anymore... YEEAAAAHHHH
Wow this gave me goosebumps considering it's a mind control phrase
And nobody ever gets it right: "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more.
That face at 1:50 is how I feel when that line is used. I almost choked laughing.
I swear that I've heard Bruce Campbell alone say this multiple times
Never knew that so many people is living in Kansas :O
It's hurts!
And nobody ever gets it right: "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more."
No goddam respect.
I love the Stargate SG1 inclusions! :)
3:11 annoying squeaky voices:
“I don’t think we’re in the jungle anymore.”
“We’re not in Kansas either.”
“noooooeew!”
Love the vid :) but I have to say that the WHOLE time I was expecting the Futurama or Phineas and Ferb one. I mean, you managed to get the most obscure ones; but those ones seemed pretty obvious.
I totally lost it at Sailor Moon, oh wow.
I LOVE IT!!!!! its so clever and so funny 5 stars!!!!! xxxxxxxx
and just when it feels like you're not in Kansas any more, it turns out you are! :PP
I like to think that people will still be using this phrase a hundred years from now, but will have no idea where it came from....

It's "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."
@N64iac
Thanks buddy, now I understand. Toto is the name of the dog, and this expression was used originally in the movie.
Sorry for my English;
Jones.
3:36 I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going...
Hahaha that's so awesome!
You could make a much longer one of these with the phrase "Let's get out of here." It's in just about every movie ever made.
I've never been in Kansas. I can't use this line. :'(
we're not in Canada anymore.
i really need to slip this into my next youtube vid
I am deeply offended that Highlander 2 is not in featured in this video.
Very nice! How did you find all those clips?
I'm in Missouri right now.
The first clip is the only sufficient one.
can you do this with other iconic quotes from the movie? "your little dog, too..."; "there's no place like home"; etc, etc... I tell my EFL students that can't understand US culture if they don't know this movie... It is referenced and quoted so often. It has become part of our collective subconscious.
@candi10000 that is the TV Show Bones
What? Are you telling that I'm not in Kansas anymore?
@abousloppy its called dark fantasy by the way
@DongerZ1 I liked the bit when they realized this fact.
we're on pandora ladies and gentlemen !
The line from Avatar is probably the most offensive to my sensibilities.
Charlie!
where do you find all this footage its amazing
@kauejones The first clip is from The Wizard of Oz, the origin of the cliche.
Niech no jeszcze raz usłyszę o Kansas, a nie ręczę za siebie...
chuck norris approved this comment
I wonder if there's a supercut for "It's like we stepped into the twilight zone"...
"Sliders" Season 1 Pilot (1)
This just proves my theory that everyone is trying to get the hell out of Kansas.
0:18
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
0:44 hahahahah!
At least Swingers is directly referencing Wizard of Oz...
Feel like after a minute of watching this, the word Kansas has lost all meaning.
well, you missed Jack in "Will & Grace" who says: "Homo, I don't think we're in Barney's anymore!"...ahahahahahahaahahahah...
Missed the one from Office Space
hell yeah planeteers!
How long did this take and how did you find the clips?
okay, people, am I the only one here pitying the actual people from kansas ?
they ought to get some love too, from time to time !
It loses it's meaning upon repetition.
3:35 pow chika pow wow
Update please
2:15 SUPERNATURAL

Dammit, I'm the only one left.
(Kansas; we're full of dogs and people who are easily impressed)
wow......
I felt lucky.
LOL!!! WAITEN 4 AVATAR THE WHOLE DAMN THING!
Nice one.
This compilation should be shown to every scriptwriter who thinks they're the first person who ever thought of quoting that line. Let them see how lazy and cliched they are. Maybe they'll work a little harder afterwards.
@ExtraTerrestrials New York Minute I think it was...
2 people are still in Kansas
@richfofo Toto, I have a feeling we're not curing cancer anymore.
Yo I'm still in Kansas, and it kicks ass!!!! Did the enthusiasm work? O and btw Oklahoma Nebraska and Missouri and Colorado Can Suck it, cause at least somebody's trying to get back to Kansas
that was the most wtf mark hamill dog kiss ever
That one dude got it right
I don't think we're listening to Kansas anymore.
I only like this video cuz of the kanye west song ''can we get much higher '' that was in the hangover.
2:39 UNCLE RICO!
@lemmacostir Same
This is interesting and confusing; Why do they mention Kansas so many times and not being there?
@midnight brought me here
