Hammer of the Gods, 'Nuff said
I love when fans start noticing Bonham...you never go back,,, and yep JPJ is killing the bass on this one.
They were just magical in live performances
Yes, a live performance. You can witness the greatest with your own eyes and ears. ✌️
If I said it once, I said it a million times! They are the GOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
THEY ARE MAGNIFICENT!!!
Full respect and admiration to this amazing band!
No two Zeppelin songs sound alike. ✌️
Other than Since I've Been Loving You and Tea For One.
Zeppelin are going to be forever the greatest band of all time, you gotta do more my brother. Dazed and confused is just incredible. Please check that one out next bro. Love your work champion.
Agreed! They are number one in my heart. I do however think TOOL is my favorite.
I was there!
Only 180,000 other fans so I'm sure if you find shots of the croud you will spot me! 😂😂😂
And yes it was jaw droppingly awesome!
When I was just 16, a friend of me, who found that out I liked Pink Floyd and Deep Purple, suggested that I might like Led Zeppelin, so I went out and bought their latest album which was Presence on vinyl. This was the first ever Led Zep song I listened to and so it holds a special place in their catalogue for me.
John Paul Jones is the driving force of this band. His bluesy bass lines, sexy Mandolin, and incredible keyboard work is amazing. ✌️
Trying to determine which one is the most important player in LZ is as difficult as ranking which is my favorite LZ song.
Agreed but I feel people miss that without Jimmy the song wouldn't progress as it does, It's either him or Bonzo that get the song rolling onwards. That being said I feel JPJ does also provide that factor in plenty of songs but imo Jimmy does it the most
Jonesy was the secret weapon.👍
Bonham's the driving force, Jimmy's the heart, JPJ is the the brain and Plant's the glue that brings it all together. Truly the greatest band ever assembled.
Led Zeppelin
In my time of dying by zeppelin also custard pie and wanton song
yeah!🤩
Everything they did live was on a whole other level, and they usually improvised during every performance.
Live Aid, not so much... 😆😆😆
@@J0hnGalt73 Live Aid was a disaster, disorganized, bad equipment, but I don't consider it a Led Zeppelin performance without a Bonham playing drums. .
You will totally dig the Live version of In My Time of Dying!!
Yes live 1975!
“Maiden Gallop” 🔥🎸
Your energy is, just as phenomenal ,as that song, is !!!
Ohhhhh you gotta love this!! Do Kashmir from this same concert!! This is an amazing live performance...yes Jimmy!! Yep JPJ on bass chugging it out!! Keith Richard's told Jimmy they could never play this song live...ha!
Great song, they have a ton of them! Try Dazed and Confused from their first album, an absolute killer from the first notes, like this. It is 6+ minutes for the studio original, hear that first then do the live version video from The Song Remains the Same concert movie, it is 28 minutes of utter brilliance. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶
Ahhh!! That takes me back. My daddy absolutely LOVED Zeppelin!! I miss him everyday so thanks for the great memory! Stay awesome Sevsimo!!🤘🖤
Hey Sev!! Much, much more Zepp PLEASE
This song is ALL groove, my friend!😉 This dwarfs Stairway IMO. Masterpiece. Bonzo is a machine.
this was super,,, it came from an era that allowed musicians to bear their souls like that.
Or like you said, this song was the most fun. Listeners don't get this type of energy anymore.
Pretty much any Led Zeppelin song is great! Another really good 10 to 11 min. song from the 70's is Ted Nugent "Stranglehold". Next level guitar playing and definite groove. Live from 76 is good
Jimmy created a new scale back in the day and incorporated that scale into this song. Very cool!!!
Dude, you've got to see the live version of Stairway to Heaven from this concert with an extended solo that will blow your mind!
Knebworth was awesome! So many huge names! Very happy to see you discover that rabbit hole 😁 Enjoy the ride!
Sooo awesome the mighty Zep!!!
Nice!
"I Never had drum lessons, I just played the way I wanted, and got black-listed in Birmingham ....." John Bonham 6/21/1975
JPJ who plays bass keyboards mandolin & anything else needed, likes staying in the background. While on tours, he could wonder around the cities without drawing attention, the other 3 were stuck in the hotels. Yes these guys have fun preforming, Page would play the guitar forever if they’d let him. He has great solos in just about every song, they each have their times to shine above the rest.
sevsimo, just like Floyd and TOOL, ZEPPELIN honestly don't have a bad track in their entire DISCOGRAPHY. ✌️
My very favorite band. But yeah…even they have a few (just a few) stinkers imo. Nobody’s perfect. And they’d be the first to tell you that
Hats Off to Roy Harper is shite, but they're entitled to one pos.
@@antarcticorb9197 well hello orb! 👋. I think they have a good handful of misses. But some of that is personal taste. Everyone speaks of how versatile a band they were (true) and how they created songs in many different genres (true). Therefore, Unless a person loves EVERY genre, there are going to be some Zep that you just don’t like.
But Hats off is just bad, I agree. I know what Robert was trying to do, but it just didn’t come off.
Some fans seem to think they metaphorically walked on water ….everything they did was perfection. That’s just BOLLOCKS …it wouldn’t be true of any artist or band. I get so tired of people saying that. 🙄
Hey I was there at Knebworth in 79 and it was absolutely 💯 Brilliant too 👏 😀 ❤ 🌟 🤩 although I was completely off my head most of the time though to be honest as I was a 17 year old headbanging rocker back then 😆 🤣 😂 😹 MEOW OH such fond memories 😀 ❤️
Not much talk about Bonzo 🙄 This might be the best live drumming here on CZcams. Truly Epic.
I’d say this is their nonstop hard song, & definitely a great one, but every song they do is great. Even if you know Stairway To Heaven, you can still react to it, play the live at Madison Square Gardens (1973). Just disclose you know it at the beginning, it will still be different & you probably didn’t pay as much attention to it then. This guys hated leaving their families to tour, but they loved preforming live, they always gave their all to their fans. Each are the GOAT of their craft, & together they are the GODS of music. All their lives at Madison Square Gardens (1973) are top notch, my favorite is Since I’ve Been Loving You, Blues Rock. Please go down this amazing rabbit hole, you won’t be sorry, they’ll blow your mind at every turn.
Hope you can check the studio version even if it's not for a reaction. A whole other level.
huge drum song, bonham shows off here
🔥🎸🔥
Great reaction! I can only advise you to check out the next song from the same concert, In the Evening. The version is just a epic and fun as this one, just a pure blast! Thats also my favorite song from the whole led zeppelin dvd
Solo is way tighter on the album version, you gotta check it out
Jimmy laid 8 guitar tracks in the studio and still manages to pull this off live with this amount of energy and soul ... He is one of the greatest ...
Band to Bonzo : How many fills do you need for this song
Bonzo to the Band : Yes
Nice reaction mate. I'd sincerely recommend the Wanton Song from them next. Another complex rocker with a mad change up and cracking bass and drums throughout.
Cheers.
Can't go wrong with the GOATS.
Another awesome one is 'the immigrant song.'
If you want something a bit less heavy but more up to date, I would suggest The Warning (start with a live version of EVOLVE). They are a 3 piece Mexican band and they are sisters. They are heavily influenced by the classics like led zep, black sabbath, AC/DC, pink Floyd and Metallica. They also have a hell of a fan base (the warning army) who will invade your comments with loads of information and suggestions of what to check out next.
This is the song from them that feels the most modern to me. Clear line from this to the next phase of heavy metal that came after.
Keep askingfor you to look at " Nobodies Fault but mine". Trust me>
From the very beginning Jimmy Page (founder) said that he wanted to create a concert group, not a recording group. They did recordings great and innovative, but they were more about being on stage. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones said he didn't like Zeppelin because they played for hours and forced them to start extending their concerts because fans started demanding it.
We used to call this “brain eat’in music”
Why wait so long to do the greatest rock and roll band the world has ever known?? All of their live stuff is excellent - so is all their studio stuff tbh. But for more fun, go back to 1970 live at the Royal Albert Hall. Whole Lotta Love, I Can't Quit You Babe, How Many More Times, Dazed And Confused...You can not go wrong with any Zep!!!
Sure is!
You need to deep dive into Zeppelin like you've done with Tool, you will not regret it. They were the Kings of the 70' for a reason.
Personal Zep favourite of mine, none of my mates like it, your choice in songs lately is MINT
The galloping ruthyn was created buy John Bonham the drummer! John Paul Jones followed along with the drums and John Bonham follows Jimmy Page! When the song came out in 1976 it was groundbreaking! It's actually the birth of power metal! Steve Harris loved The galloping rhythm of this song is where he got the idea for iron maidens galloping signature! He was heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin!
you should check out the doors the end, im pretty sure you haven't reacted to them yet. jim is in my opinion the greatest poet to ever live.
dazed and confused live at msg , you will be after watching it
I don't think you ever quite HEARD Stairway to heaven esp live. Check it out
Yes Jimmy Page...there were never any other members!
okay, Pal, I liked and subbed - you cool?
They tried to get John Paul Jones to be more prominent on stage for years, he liked staying out of the spotlight.
No that's Jon Bonham on the bass drum buddy! Listen again!!!
why would you keep your picture over the video? crazy......makes me say later dude.
To keep it from getting blocked, dude
This is one of the few songs by LZ that I don't like...😮..I think in this song the chaos is greater than the harmony 😅
One of zeppelins least popular songs. Who n the funk requested this ?? Your fired !!
This song is absolutely amazing, so underrated imo. The drums, the lead and the vibe of the whole song is just fantastic.
Popular doesn’t always mean good my friend.
It was least popular because it was prog rock coming from a band that wasn’t supposed to be prog. And it was on an album that was not embraced by Zep fans
That does not mean that it isn’t an outstanding piece of musicianship and technical prowess. I didn’t like it at first…too fast and frenetic. Then I started to listen to the drums and bass. Holy hell, the sheer talent on display. And Jimmy, who did like 8 overdubs on the studio version, is covering bits of several of them here live. I still don’t play this song for enjoyment, but I will always watch this clip in awe. Bonham plays so fast and meticulously that it’s just out of this world.
