Led Zep were the absolute pinnacle of Rock music. They were far and above anything that went before and came after
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band…
I'm surprised those drums held up under that assault. The drums drive this song. It is one of Zeps hardest driving songs, strangely enough, coming from one of their last albums, which happens to be one of my favorite Zep albums. Greatest band in rock history.
Near the end you can hear Bonzo snare drum sound "fatten" up a bit - he had beat the snare head somewhat loose - 3/4 of the way through.
The best Zeppelin song ever thank you for reacting
My favorite version of my favorite led zeppelin song!
Bohnam, always a pleasure to watch and hear.....love it. Kudos to this band,
This is one of their major masterpieces. The complexity of the song from the point of view of guitar is dazzling. All the playing of the members is extremely demanding. That Page was able to rework the studio version for live performance and arrive at these results is just phenomenal. Robert introduced this song as "our wheelchair piece", referring to the sheer stamina and musical athleticism required to perform it. This song is INTENSE!
It was also Robert's wheelchair piece because he literally recorded much of Presence in a wheelchair after a bad car accident. But yes you're right this is a huge piece that takes plenty of stamina.
He cracked his foot going into the vocal booth as he was wheelchair bound at the time following a car crash ,hence the Achilles reference.
Jimmy played this to Keith Richards when he had finished mixing it.Keith said “ it’s a great track but you’ll never play it live” 17 guitar tracks on studio version ,1 Les Paul and a wizard on stage ……
I went to this show. A bunch of my friends came along and none of them had ever seen Zeppelin before. All the way there we argued in the car about who was the best band in the world. There were some Black Sabbath guys, some Queen fans, some Stones fans. After the show, the most argumentative guy came to me as we walked back to the camp site. He just said, "You were right. They are the best band in the world."
Arguably one of the best songs on the Led Zeppelin DVD which this is from. They were playing in front of about 300,000 fans at the 1979 Knebworth Music Festival. I have watched this thousands of time and have never got tired of it. Great choice and great video as always Rebeka.
I was there 120,000 top end 60 000 second gig promoter went bankrupt
One of the best piece of music ever created!
👍🇬🇧❤& ON THE 8TH DAY ❤GOD❤CREATED 🎸LED ZEPPELIN ......
Zep was, and still is, my all-time favorite band. I saw them twice and will remember it forever. Nobody could free-form jam like them
Mine too! Nobody does it like they did!
they should have filmed bonham way more during this performance.
this is bonzo's song. probably my favourite drumming in a song ever.
It's great to drive to, good on a road trip. I used to deliver flooring materials to the Oregon Coast and the scenery was amazing and with this music made it incredible!! Led Zeppelin is a Hypnotic Journey!! They know how to drive the groove!! rock n' roll at it's finest!!
Our Beka now is starting to realise why Led Zep are the BEST. BAND. EVER. no arguments.
@@DoctorWu1978 Rush?!?!? and who are they when they’re at home?
Jared Collins,
Rush? They aren't even top twenty. Not even famous outside North America.
@@lyndoncmp5751 I knew it that is why he went quiet when confronted with facts they hide beneath the blanket of mum's basement.

@@DoctorWu1978 the usual response insults let's go Brandon.
Robert has said that this is probably the most intense song they ever did. It certainly showcases the immense tightness and chops of Page/JPJ/Bonham together. For me, it strikes me as the closest Zep got to complex prog rock …It took several listens for me to like it. Perhaps reading the lyrics, knowing the backstory of when Plant wrote them and then recorded them, and knowing the huge respect Plant had for his bandmates excellence in putting it together helped me to appreciate it more. The studio version has around 6-8 guitar overdubs that Jimmy put on. Playing it live, he tried to reference as many of those overdubs as he could, to give the full feel of the song. Incredible playing
Okay this is what is a very tight and balanced group of multi talented musical masterminded people can do together.
I went to this concert. It was knebworth 79 . I was 17 and it changed my life !
You look so elegant on this one Rebeka
17 years old when released been into them 10 years already 61 still love them RIP John Bonham
They ain’t human 🇬🇧👍
Time to get The Led out. Turn it up!🔈🔉🔊
Ladies and gentleman... rebekka !!! Woman of a extremly nature and a rare beauty😍😍😍😍 my personal opinion ...i love you i remember you forever😚😚😚💏💏💏💏💏💏💑💘💘💘💘💘💚💚💚💙💙💖💔💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕😍😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
FYI Jimmy pages father was sitting side of the stage watching his son play n being proud
Live performances for me also. You get to experience what the band also felt to some degree. Although sometimes the clarity is better from the studio version, but not always.
remember when she wasn't so keen on Zeppelin? all over them now love it!
Yes! Probably my favorite studio song by the mighty Led Zeppelin. John Bonham killing it on the drums. All the members sound amazing. Great
Oh for a 64 yo guy now When I was a kid when I 1st heard the first Album, Man Been my fav band of all time HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it took awhile for some of their sings to grow on me. But I love them all now.
oh my God, just the best reaction vid ever!!! You are a Rock God babe!!!!!!!
I was blessed enough to see them on this tour!!
Always so happy when someone does Knebworth..... It was absolutely brilliant 😁
Your smile earns a like!
Great to see you back, looking great and sparkly!
There's an argument to be had that, without tracks like these, the likes of Iron Maiden wouldn't exist. The forward propulsion and lyrical imagery are all in place. And they nailed it here, one last time in England, before the final end.
Greatest rock song of all time for me personally
Truth.
The best ones ( songs and music scores) often take me multiple times to even see the beginning of the complexity of the sounds and songs. Yes they are often the most simple songs and melodies also, lol
Sooo true I must agree
The fact that Jimmy Page is smacked out of his mind here only makes it more incredible. How was he able to still play at this level?
Often imitated, never surpassed!
I know right?
Don, t forget Bonham drums
James Bond Bond Oh no, I will never forget. Best hard rock drummer of all time.
Wtf are you talking about?
Absolutely love watching you Rock out babe!!! 🙂
Nice! Love Zeppelin. And you're foxy.
If you haven't already, check out "Rock & Roll" by Led Zeppelin.
I was at this gig. They played Knebworth on August 4 and August 11 1979. I was at both.
Love it. More please 🙏
Huge amount of lyrics In this song
1979 was the last album they released and they disbanded because John Bonham the drummer died and they said they couldn’t go on without John
Rebeka! Gorgeous!
Love ya, from America!
Great channel, Sweetie!
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
Baby they where the best
Paige and plant on fire but it's the two John's holding it all together
Quite a big song to listen to live for the first hearing, sounds well jumbled in parts, mostly because of Jimmy trying to play all the parts on the original track, but give the original studio version a listen when you can, it really is one of their greatest songs.....your natural musicality will love it.!!
It took me two or three listens to appreciate this. I love it now. Same with “Tea For One”.
Saw them in 77 during US tour, drugs and rock and roll, shit I don't remember half of it. You look most beautiful today.
props to them for keeping up such a high tempo song for ten minutes straight
like foreal give those drums a cigarette after that one
No-one like the Mighty Led Zeppelin. Page n Jones were entirely original, innovative and were production and arranging masters, Plant and Bonham were peaks of their profession. This masterpiece was Jimmy’s favorite vinyl child…🤐
Excelente música. Zeppelin lo máximo....!!!!!!!
Awesome. You could pass for Faith Hill or her daughter. So adorable.
one of my favorites songs, powerful and bonham is playing like those drums owe him money, he's killing them.
Jimmy is so cute! Love his meek smile!!
Zeppelin 👍🎙🥁🎸🎸
You need to listen to ALS many times, studio version. Then watch this again. The percussion is unbelievable.
The best rock song, by the best rock band.
My opinion the best Epic hard Rock son of Led Zeppelin over 10 min of galop Song. Page Is Super an Bonham best Hard Rock drummer🇮🇹
A-KILL-EES
John Bonham, the drummer of Led Zeppelin, will forever be my role model of a drummer. He made me pick up drums as an instrument, his flow and ease of putting out these timeless beats will never be topped. So glad you were able to enjoy this song :)
Okay, only one of the strongest songs ever orchestrated for the almighty Led Zeppelin in its entirety. I much appreciate your energy and dedication to some of the great things that have influence on us all , through the past pressures of today and tomorrow!!!!!! So happy and hottt to the touch
I'm glad when you come back. You make this fun. Love your reactions.
Deuses!!!
This is absolutely magnificent!!
incredible performance this! bonham was a MONSTER!
U were very missed. Welcome back. 😀😃😄😁
you look like a princess in that top
When I listen to this song I feel like I’m flying in on the back of a dragon into some mythical battle of yore. Check out Nobody’s Fault but Mine from this same album.
calm down Cal Naughton Jr
Never enough Led Zeppelin.epic performance! 😎👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥DA GOATS! Gosh Bonzo was holding down the beat!
Love your Zeppelin reactions, timeless music from a great band. How about some INXS-Wembley stadium 1991. 72,000 in attendance. Great live band with one of the best vocalists ever....Michael Hutchence. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
my fave zep song x
That's for what you doing. So much fun
Welcome back Rebeka !- love Led Zep -good choice of song-it rocks!
This song is very complex, almost Progressive. It is a very hard rock song and it's from the Presence album which is a very heavy album and it is an album that is one of those love/hate albums. Many people do not like this album and many love it, so it's very polarizing. I personally love it. I remember the anticipation building up for me as I waited for the album to be released and for me it lived up to my expectations.
One of My Favorite LZ songs!!
you have to listen to this song a few times to appreciate it..
looks like our Beka has been out and certainly to impress great outfit girl! I like it a lot!. suggestion for you Green day at Hyde park 2017 no band playing just the crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody I can assure you Goosebumps and tears are in order so sure Freddie was conducting this from above, just watch it i guarantee tears and goose bumps also I bet you will keep it. I've been to dozens of concerts Iron maiden Zeppelin , Floyd etc that reaction shook me (with happiness) to my core. I swear Freddie was conducting from above after all his instrument was simply us.
A brief history of the words "Achilles: It is a tendon that connects your leg to your foot. And that is why it is a tender spot. when your break the enemy's Achilles heel -you win the war.
GALLOW’S POLE IS A MUST (studio version ideally)
This is considered the hardest drum piece in rock
Hey Rebeka, you sure looked like you liked it....This album was so different at the time of its release....but I listened to it all summer that year, and its thier best blues rock album in my opinion....Achilles is their best song...hopefully by now you've put some time into it...this was an epic performance of of a legendary song...😉
I did not think I could have loved this song any better or believe I'd ever find a way to enjoy better, but, watching you listen to it, ooo... I'm lost for words... This has been my favorite Led Zeppelin song , I had thought about suggesting it, because I like watching you listen to their songs... This was like my bday, Xmas morning, and my first time ( or my last time) all rolled into one wild wonderful time... You are beautifully cool, thank you...
Studio or Live, this is their very best song imo...great review !
This isn't my favorite Zeppelin tune, but the little lady sure is cute!
"In my Time of Dying" and "Moby Dick" showcases John Bohnam`s drumming skills! "Kashmir" is crazy complex, my favorite Zeppelin song ever!
As a guitarist this song was so much fun to play I love Presence it is cold ! Try out Ten Years Gone Jimmy uses a B-Bender live in the studio Jimmy layers 14 guitar parts !
Do you play The Song Remains The Same? That's the one I'm enjoying having a crack at the most lately. Trying to figure out some of what he's doing on the live MSG 73 gig with this one - hybrid picking, fast, got me stumped!
@@nickcrisp7252 yes I can play all of Zeppelin’s songs I worked in the music field I. Was a hired gun
@@larrynapier5003 Session musician? You're playing is probably a bit more 'rounded' than mine then!
@@nickcrisp7252 I took lessons
Definitely a song you will like and appreciate more the more you listen to it.
It's very overwhelming, there is a lot going on. It was my absolute favorite track as soon as I heard it in 1976 when the LP was released. This song is played even faster on the American 1977 tour, especially on the "For Badge Holders Only" bootleg LP from the LA Forum. Love your reactions! Cheers!
The studio version with the guitar overdubs is really the best way to hear this...Jimmy was trying to layer a 'guitar army' on that album, and the result is hard to get live with only one guitar. The drums on this, as well as the bass, are hard-driving and stellar throughout, and Robert is, well, Robert. Don't be afraid to not like parts of Zep immediately...I remember when Physical Graffiti came out I, a teenage Zep fanatic at the time, was disappointed. Multiple listens is the BEST thing about Led Zeppelin...they just sound better and better, you hear more and more nuances.
He did well though! I was the same with Phys Graff for a while. I'm still a bit like that with in Through The Out Door, that one is STILL growing on me! But it's getting there :)
@@nickcrisp7252 Early Zep through IV were the best, later they may have gotten too experimental for some diehard rockers, but the quality in the studio never faltered.
@@paulbewlay4527 Pretty much agree, but Houses of the Holy has a special place for me, being the first Zep album I heard all the way through. And The Song Remains The Same is one of my all time favourite summer tunes.
@@nickcrisp7252 Heh heh...HotH kinda slipped past me, the 70s being what they were...I doubt I liked it at the time, but now it's a favourite.
Agreed. Should always do studio versions first to really appreciate the live performance. This is a very complicated piece to be replicated live…
It is a lot to take in, I agree. Great reaction.
I'm back. I'm 66 and wheel chair bound so don't think i'm stalking you. just having a fanitsy about such a beautiful woman i have never seen before;. love ya jeff
I'd be happy just to see them play just this 1, epic.
Rebeka! You look just as BEAUTIFUL as always my Dear!
So glad to be one of your subscribers!
Would you please consider reacting to, "Don't let me sleep in the morning", by the
1970's Band, Head East?
If so, I will be ever so grateful!
Sending you love from America!
1979 I was there, last time I saw them before we lost Bonzo.
great song! try nobody's fault but mine.
Yes!!!
Achilles Last Stand is an eclectic piece. Don't feel bad because Ive been listening to LZ since their first album and this is one song I have a hard time to "want" to listen to. It's a great song and amazing musicianship, especially what John Bonham is doing on the drums, Wow! but maybe it's a bit long?! I don't know but it's basically a well constructed jam session song with a obscure story, however I feel you on this one Rebeka.
...Always great to see you back on my feed, hope you're doing well... love the jacket by the way, you're always looking awesome 😊💖

She is called the queen of goosebumps, a unique voice - contralto with polyphonic overtones!
She has insane and unique vocals and great stage presence and her performances (from the show You are Super ! ( win twice ) are gorgeously choreographed and you should find them very interesting. Top song choices are up Can't Help Falling in Love, Wicked Game, Derniere Danse, Blizzard, Human, River. She is really an amazing young artist!

common reaction. I remember it took me a few listens to really start appreciating it, it’s so sonically complex. I started focusing on in jimmy’s playing, and then Bonzo , and they both blew me away and I never looked back, one of my all time favs. Bonzo’s Moby Dick may be more famous, but his drumming in this is superhuman in its accuracy, power and endurance, simply astonishing. He probably hit the drum harder, and more often, than any similarly lengthy piece ever recorded, and he’s never off by a nano second…..absolute machine.
It's A-kill-eez. Greek warrior.
Nice song choice Rebeka
I was there that night and jimmy page was high as a kite
Hi Rebekah. It's so great to have you back . I have missed you and your reactions. Hope you are ok.
I know what you mean about this track...it is quite hard to get into...I think the studio version is better. I have been a fan of the band from when the first album was released in 1969...but there are quite a few of their songs that I had to listen to a few times before I could say I really liked it.
Thank you for your great reaction. Looking forward to your next offering. Take care, stay safe . Peace From Liverpool UK 👍✌️🤘☮️
