Mrs. Coach says she can’t believe how diverse they are after only three songs. You have no idea yet how even more diverse they are from what you have heard so far! I hope you will go on the Zeppelin journey even though Mr. Coach is not a big fan of Robert. I think through time he will begin to see why many consider him the greatest rock singer of all time! Before we get to stairway to Heaven and Kashmir and some of the other big ones, PLEASE play the official video for Whole Lotta Love from 1969. One of the greatest songs of all time with such an awesome riff and yes, amazing vocals! This song inspired generations that followed. Thanks!

The band is clearly very talented and Coach knows Robert is highly regarded. For some reason, his voice hasn't resonated the same as some others have, that is not to say the talent is not recognized. We certainly intend to do more Led Zeppelin and appreciate the suggestion. Your amazing generosity is very much appreciated!

@@CoachCastTV thanks for taking the time to reply! This band recorded songs from blues to hard rock, acoustic, folk, funk, fifties, country, jazz, psychedelic, and more!… Formed in 1968 and disbanded in 1980 when sadly, their drummer, John Bonham died. Hold onto your shorts, more to come LOL!

Robert is rated as a top 5 vocalist.
Jimmy is in m my mind a top 4 guitarist.
John Bonham is an all-time great drummer, along with the drummer for Black Sabbath revolutionize the way drums were played.
John Paul Jones was Zeppelin's ultimate weapon. He played the keyboards , the bass guitar and 3 or 4 other instruments. Robert Plant also played a harmonica in many songs. Together they formed the greatest Rock band ever.

Hey guys, this was shot at the Sydney Australia fairgrounds during the 72-world tour. The audio (as mentioned below) was spliced in from the same tour from LA (possibly Long Beach) CA ... The famous scream is Robert's Viking Warcry, used while charging into battle "Valhalla, I am coming!" This is a great example of LZ's influence on the Metal genre which is still 8-10 years away, and their power is on full display with this live performance! Other LZ genres ... Blues Rock, Psychedelic Blues, Folk, Reggae, Rhumba, Eastern / World music, some argue a few others.

Every day. He could read music ha ha most couldn't back then. Not to mention the genius of John Paul Jones, who could read write and arrange for orchestras as well I believe. Jack Black begged to use it in "School of Rock".
It was also in one if the "Shrek" movies and "Thor:Ragnarok".
It might've been in some commercials too.
This is truly live, it's about a minute and a half longer than the album cut.
If you can find a version that's not blocked, I highly recommend "The Song Remains the Same/The Rain Song" from Madison Square Garden in 1973 used in their movie "The Song Remains the Same".

I've never heard that song before because I've never listened to a lot of LZ. They always came over as too noisy without much melody for me, but I have to say that was fun! The high energy performance and the vocals that I could actually hear over the instruments made a big difference, even though I couldn't make out all the lyrics (but that's what Google is for). Shame about the dodgy camera work, but I saw enough to enjoy the action on stage.
I'd like to suggest you have a look at Queen's 'One Vision'. I can't decide whether to recommend the live performance at Wembley in '86 (the video which starts with the exterior view of the stadium) or the Official Video (extended version). Both are excellent in different ways... but whichever you pick, you'll probably want to follow up with the One Vision Documentary, which gives you about 20 mins of watching the boys working in the studio as they collaborate to make the best song they can... and it's immense fun!

Yeah, this is different from the other two songs you've reacted to. That's the thing about Led Zeppelin. They were incredibly versatile and creative. One of the things that set them apart from all other rock bands is their diversity. Hard rock, blues rock, folk rock, metal, proto-punk, jazz, (English) country, progressive, raga, gospel ...
Really, the only way to understand Led Zeppelin is to start at the beginning and work your way through their catalog. However, there isn't a lot of video with audio of their live performances. That, and they didn't perform all of their songs live.
The thing is, and I understand that you enjoy live, Jimmy Page was a genius in the studio and their studio cuts shouldn't be missed. And they loved to improvise during live performances but the only way to understand just how incredible that was, you have to first know the original studio cut, otherwise you won't recognize when they start improvising.
In any case, glad you're checking out Led Zeppelin and hope that you do many more reactions to their music.

At the risk of making myself unpopular, I've never been a fan of Led Zep. This is one of the few songs of theirs that I like, another being Ramble On (one for the future).
I know Jimmy Page is often in the top 5 guitarists of all time and is loved by Brian May amongst others. I've personally never been a fan of his style of playing although I can appreciate his technical ability. Anyway please add Ramble On to my list of suggestions.
Status Quo "Caroline" live at Download Festival 2014 first please 😊.
Much love to you and all your subscribers from here in a very wet South Wales UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Anyone who is a regular viewer knows that Mrs. Coach and I don't always agree (in fact, rarely agree) on music, so we applaud those who give their honest opinion. We also appreciate the suggestions. Thanks so much for watching!

Zeppelin was so popular, they made songs about Vikings into hits.!
maybe even a better version of the song. czcams.com/video/ApxnAr6pRt0/video.html
You have the band members correct. John Paul Jones on base.
This is the first song you did by them that would be considered a hit. LOL. Not saying the others are bad but, they were definitely not hits for them. Very odd choice of songs to choose by them to start with. Especially since they have a zillion hits that dominated rock in their short 11 year span. They have what is considered even today, the most popular song in rock history. Stairway to Heaven. And they sold more albums than any other group in the 70's. So from the ones you have done, it is not an accurate representation of what made them rock Gods at all.
Not critiquing you or anything. I mean how would you know? Just saying that this is the first song by them you are doing that would have been considered a hit. And they had MANY MANY hits.

Yeah, we were sent to them to listen to some blues songs after we mentioned we liked the harmonica in Black Sabbath's "The Wizard". So that is how we ended up on "When the Levee Breaks" and it morphed from there. LOL

@@CoachCastTV I figured it was something like that. :) They are blues based. But more a blues rock mixture. But as others have said, they are extremely diverse. There is an amazing bluesy/gospel type song they do that is very much a hidden gem. But anyone that heres it, especially the live version from 1975, pretty much love it. It's called "In my Time of Dying." From Earls Court. But a very bluesy song that you would also love is "Since Iv'e been loving you." From 1973 at Madison Square Garden. Both these songs to me are far better than the two you picked. I myself always prefer the Live versions. But many say the studio for first time listens. I would agree with that IF you also did the live version. But to me, watching them perform is always better than staring at a wall just listening.
Oh, neither of these songs were hits until CZcams reactors started reacting to them.

@@boki1693 Interesting. We strongly prefer live music. We feel the energy is unmatched, and the variation and even imperfections make it unique. We've done lyric videos as well when we were told lyrics were very important. But agree nothing matches live music.
