This version is just so much better than the one on Substance. I love the more raw energy about it instead of it being more polished.
I kinda like both. I like the background vocals on the 7" inch single. And the emphasis on synth on this one. Definitely stripped down even his vocals. Regardless it sounds just as fresh as it was when it was released. The Cure Depeche Mode New Order all day all nite

My favourite New Order song and it always makes me feel melancholy and reflective of who I was when I first heard it back in the 80s. A very soulful and self-reflective masterpiece.
Hit it right on the nail. Although I had an abundance of friends it made me appreciate loneliness and the time for introspection through enjoying that contemplative solitude.

Love NO saw them first January 1986 on the "Low Life" tour in my home town @ Connolly hall Cork Ireland have seen them many times since then Inc December 2023 always a great band live "Subculture" classic 😎👍.

@@qwertilicious2574 A couple weeks ago my sister pointed out to me in the car that Depeche Mode's song "New Dress" keeps saying "Princess Di is wearing a new dress". I dont know what I really thought it was... just some fuzzy lyric I never bothered to look up. Nothing about Princess Di. Now the whole song is different. Weirdly the next song that played was "Nemoralia" by Ulver which has lyrics about... Princess Di.
37 years later this classic still sounds ahead of its time! And nothing released in 2022 even comes close!
