Greil Marcus , a rock historian and rock critic who's a really good writer, wrote a book called The History of Rock and roll in 10 songs. And one of the chapters is completely about transmission by Joy division. It's a great book for lots of reasons. Pax.

Yes. Amazing that this song has the same bass line throughout and yet it so captivating. I'm mid 40's and I can only imagine what a teenager at the time was thinking when they heard this song come on vs. what was out at the time. Must have been wild.

It’s a nice positive song
