Yep, Substance 1987 changed my life. What a fantastic collection of songs. Then I bought the CD version and disc 2 blew my mind even further.
My gateway into New Order proper, though I had had always liked _Blue Monday_ , _True Faith_ and _Regret_ before then.
Listening to the intro of Procession still makes me feel chilly in the spine.
Bought substance on cassette in a nicely enveloped cover. Went over drawn in the process. The bank sent a nasty letter.
I got over it!

Used to listen to a college radio station in Michigan in 1981-1982 and on Thursday nights they had an "industrial" music show that played TG, SPK, Clock DVA etc. and this tune was a staple on that show. We'd all get together at someone's house and drop acid and enjoy 4hrs of stuff like this. Fun times!

I think this was one of the first tracks I heard on Substance after loving BM88 and getting more interested in their older work, and I then learned I loved rock and electronica. Been a solid fan since then. Can't believe the original Blue Monday was 40 yesterday (07/03/83 -> 07/03/23)
