I like this guy, humble and honest. Just subscribed!
Thanks alot! Got a lot for you to dive in
@@kettlebellmusclegain Do you follow Valery Fedorenko's teachings, because your technique is spot on!
I started snatching recently and one of my shoulders was complaining already. This makes total sense/feel way better on my joints. Level 🆙
Why hell yeah!
I need to keep the imaginary velcro in mind when snatching. Great tip.
Or get real stuff! ;)
Probably one of the easiest follow videos. However dude is seriously breathless. Thanks for posting.
When you talk, while lifting actual weight, That means youre not taking breathes in to refill your oxygen capacity. ;)
Youre welcome btw.
This is such a great breakdown. The Velcro analogy is perfect! 👌🏼
Thanks man. Ive always used that
Wow! That velcro analogy man! SO easy to remember, so easy to check and feel in every rep. Eye opener Joe, really great stuff
Thanks. Deftones fan!
Been doing snatches for almost a year and mimic your technique... but this is just golden!
Happy to hear!
One of the most important kb snatch tip! Thanks
Very welcome
Holy shit that Velcro cue is super helpful.
Very welcome.
Thanks for this. I just started with 30's, and it's more complex than I expected.
Very welcome
This has actually become my best exercise in terms of technical proficiency.
Good to hear!
👍
"Taming the arc" - Pavel
If it were only That simple
Good description. Thanks a lot.
Welcome
Love this! Basic biomechanics stressed in a complex movement.
Thats it. Not many people think or talk about it. The internet is filled with high level influencers with terrible form
@@kettlebellmusclegain Found you through Reddit. Your technique videos are great. Thank you! As somebody trying to teach themselves due to gym restrictions/COVID (and having a hard time finding a good KB trainer nearby who could do outdoors), this is so helpful!
Great. Happy to help
Thank you for the tip!! 🙂
Very welcome
Very helpful.
Thank you!
Great video. I needed this. Watched hundreds of videos, this one was the info I needed.
Well that makes me feel good im glad!
Awesome explanation as always Joe. U r the man.
Thank you!

Youre welcome!
super effective coaching cues. great video. great job! thanks
Thanks man. Share it for me if you dont mind!
Excellent video, and agree the Velcro tip really helps, many thanks for posting
Thank you
Thank you so much for explaining the little (but super important) details of this technique! Can't wait to implement this when attempting the 300-snatch workout you detailed in one of your livestreams from a few months back. Much appreciated!!
Oooh your very welcome.
Great video
Thank you
Love it. Im getting ready for my RKC. Definitely going to keep this in mind.
Nice. They may teach it different but mechanics still the same.
This just solved my main issue with the snatch. Thank you Joe!
Happy to hear.
Very helpful video, thanks.
Very welcome
Excellent, that's really helpful thanks dude 😎
Very welcome
Very helpful. Thank you!
I'm glad it helps
This guys awesome 👌
I'll take that compliment
Great tip - thanks! 👍
Thank you
Great!
Thanks
Verry helpfull, thx:)
Yeah this is a good one you're very welcome
I had to comeback after my workout to ThaNk You!! for this video. I felt real good with after my workout today. It had a lot of overhead kb exercises and bottoms up cleans. I stayed with my weight and kept the connection and paid especially attention to my lats(what is that?) I am still learning about my muscles. But I found my lats and know now it is keeping the KB from going rogue on me when it is above my head. I am glad tomorrow is a rest day.
Great to hear! Im happy to help!
I’m loving your instructions ~ the bit I’m struggling with is dropping the kettlebell back down!
Yes I have other videos on the drop /catch on my KETTLEBELL SNATCH PLAYLIST.
THANK YOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very welcome
I appreciate this instruction. Thank you.
Very Welcome.,i appreciate the support!
Yes, I also very much appreciate this and all the kettle bell instruction here.
Thank you please share If you can I also appreciate the mountain biking pic
@@kettlebellmusclegain Right on, oh for sure man, I've done my research, I know the proper sources for this kettle bell thing particularly here in USA, and that be you among a small select few. Of course I don't have to tell you that. But I've got just two years in now with the kettle bells, changed my life. Any chance I get to do so I will suggest the kettle bell and "swing this kettle bell" resource for one to change their life as well.
Wonderful.,thank you
And there was me thinking that I did cleans and snatches all wrong a few years ago with little experience.
What do you mean?
Velcro!
Damn right
Great tutorial...and I like the visual of Velcro (except any notion of ‘ripping’ something is a thought I don’t want in my head). I’ve watched many of your videos but don’t recall seeing one on cues for starting the drop by uncorking the bell and deflecting properly?
Possibly here. czcams.com/video/AWBJ_OyyWXA/video.html
Muito bom, fã brasileiro aqui
Thank you to 🇧🇷! Would love to visit someday
Best explanation ever. Such a graceful movement and yet so demanding. I have ripped up my shoulders too many times at CrossFit, thousands of stalls and snatches later and now they are solid. Best tool ever, Great coaching. Thanks
Thank you! Please share it and help our reach if you can
Going up and catching the Kettlebell is not a problem. Bring the KB down is a big mystery. I still have not able to learn it. So still sticking with half snatch. 😔😔😔😔😔
I totally understand and if you're never going to compete then half snatch is definitely the way to go but if you want to practice some more full snatch look at my playlists for the kettlebell snatch and there are many videos on the drop catch
Also you can look at my instagram.com/swingthiskettlebell channel it has lots of slow mo snatch
Greatest find of the year! Your vids are awesome. I've noticed that when I snatch, the glute on the opposite side to my arm holding the KB seems to be doing more work. Is this correct?
Thanks!. And yes with one arm swings cleans and snatches, opposite leg does more.
@@kettlebellmusclegain Ace! Makes me feel more comfortable that Im not creating an imbalance. Thanks for the quick reply!
Sure thing. It actually decreases imbalances due to evening out both side. Im working on a stagfered stance RDL video now for Instagram. Similar situation.
@@kettlebellmusclegain Looking forward to that one. Would be interesting to hear what you think on thumb position at the back of the swing too, so pointing foward, angled or back
I have a few. This is recent.P ositions for clean . all depends on anatomy and muscle fatigue
Getting the rotation thing at the top right as you come down is so tricky. How did you learn it? Trying to watch people do it in videos is hard
Yes it can be search my kettlebell natch playlist for slow mo I have over 10p snatch videos..also I offer consultations and live video critiques at www.kbmuscle.com
What is the best hand position at the top to alleviate elbow strain? Open hand, 45 degree?
Grip and fingers relaxed. 45 degree hand insertion forearm flexors relaxed
Check my playlist on Snatch
@@kettlebellmusclegain Thanks man. When I get to the 70lbs, I gotta use chalk, because if I sweat, my control suffers. The open palm at the top at 45 degrees helps. I pay close attention to your technique. Thanks again
Youre Welcome. You may need to back off the heavy for a while until pain subsides. Perhaps stay with 24 to 28 for a bit. If its a bit of tendonitis inflammation, Its not gonna go away with out less stress.
Is that tip similiar to “taming the arc”? And does keeping a slight bend in the arm while zippering the bell up help?
Sure can.
Gonna do 100 a side tomorrow
Enjoy
@@kettlebellmusclegain haha... I’ll see how far I get
Do you think KB snatches build muscle?
Absolutley especially back shoulders and arms..heavy ones from the floor build it al. Double snatches work great.
Huh
Huh what?
@@kettlebellmusclegain I meant huh like 'oh yeah, never knew that and now it's clicked that's better!'
Ha cool.
