Very weird to see Jordan in conversation with women who aren't trying to strawman and slander him.
I really remember why I started listening to him.
Christina is particular is unbelievably charming. I can't remember a time when I've ever seen Jordan genuinely laughing.
If I remember correctly, Christina was one of the people who had to face down the famous Triggly-Puff monster. It's difficult to imagine the mentality of someone who wouldn't want to listen to her.
@@tonycatman exactly! she even knows how to handle Milo, sorta... awesome lady!

@garcia Did you watch those two links!? First ends with him making her laugh/smirk about multiple orgasms. The second is some guy talking about how angry he is and talking about the comment section of JP's website. Try harder or, better yet, go tidy your room.
So refreshing to see how adult non possessed women act.
Sorry no one will fuck you
@Isa Who would you consider a good role model for young women?
@Isa tf did I just watch
it's easy to forget that third wave intersectional feminists do not represent all women. it's nice to see a conversation between Peterson and women where they are not trying to trip him up with feminist sophistry and dogma, but rather, have an interesting conversation. Faith in humanity restored?....possibly.
'Agreeable" women, that is all Peterson and his misogynist followers can handle. I very much doubt his wife is combatant, I bet he is lying.
wonderful conversation. Really enjoyed this. The two women were an absolute delight.
It's a refreshing insight into who he is, which is ironic because they do a better job at interviewing him than journalists. That's probably because they are thinkers in their own right.
@@eclipse5393 They are just agreeable women, the ones misogynistic men like, like Peterson, they cannot handle women who might give them a challenge.
@@thaliagarcia9684 That's a very dumb comment since Peterson has handled far more people as a psychologist and speaker than the average person. You're probably an incel who rarely talks to women in person.
Christina Hoff Sommers has been battling against feminazi's for over thirty years. She released a book defending boys in the classroom in the late 90s, years before anyone was discussing the bias against young boys
Aren't they just? This is how truly strong women can get along with men.

I bloody hate CZcams's search algorithm. I've been searching for new JP videos the last few days and this video only showed up today despite that it was uploaded a week ago.
I think it was unlisted or otherwise unavailable. Christina Sommers announced, that the video is out just an hour ago.

Just search: Jordan Peterson. Only search in last week, sort by views.

Amazing how useful, productive, and pleasant the conversation with Jordan is when it's with intellectually mature women, who have gone through the trouble to read his book and go to one of his lectures is. What a joy. I'm and instant fan of these two women.

Here's an outline of the talk, along with my notes and some quotes I found interesting.
How has Canada contributed to your worldview? (6:30)
Dr. Peteron's wife, Tammy (13:52)
How do you sustain a long-term relationship? (16:25)
- Find each other attractive.
- You want someone you can spar with.
- Interestingly different from you, but not so different that you that you can't communicate.
- You want a little bit of trouble, mystery, combativeness, the ability to exchange opinions forthrightly.
- Trust. Tell each other the truth. Be able to negotiate with the other person.
- Make time for each other. Do not expect (all) romantic interactions to be spontaneous. Make sure you spend at least some 90 mins a week intentionally together.
Peterson's diverse following. (26:15)
Combative interviews, e.g. GQ (27:30)
Difference between the sexes (33:00)
-Interests in general - Women: people. Men: things. There's more men in women dominated industries.
Chaos/Feminine and Order/Masculine (39:35)
"Chaos is the domain that you don't understand, and that emerges unpredictably but also the domain from which new forms emerge, because it's from novelty that the new emerges. And I think the fundamental association between femininity and chaos is the association between what's unexpected and novel and what's new, because new forms emerge from chaos." - Peterson
"You're looking constantly to find the balance between those two [order and chaos]. For example, formally speaking, the domain of order is that place that you are when what you're doing is producing the results that you want to have produced." -Peterson
"Nature is (fundamental definition): that which selects." Females are the force of nature that selects.
Scandinavia (50:50)
Equality of outcome (often coded as equity): at every level of every occupation people have to be represented by the same number that they're represented at the population
Dating, abortion, sexual behavior, the birth control pill (53:00)
"I think that the idea that sex is casual and that it's a form of entertainment is an absolutely preposterous idea; I think that it's psychologically shallow beyond belief to hold that as a core proposition" - Peterson
- Repetitive sex with multiple partners forces you to treat people as if they're interchangeable
- It implies that you can divorce sexuality from play, desire from a relationship, love, emotional fragility, family, responsibility
Check "A Billion Wicked Thoughts" - book written by Google engineers.
Parenting (1:16:00)
"Your fundamental job as a parent is to ensure that by the time your child is 4 years old that they are maximally desirable to other children and to adults." - Peterson
You did a wonderful job. Thanks for this
@@gnanasabaapatirg7376 You're most welcome! I hope this proves useful. :)
This is one of THE BEST interviews I'v seen with Dr. Peterson. The hosts were awesome, refreshing and polite. No hidden agenda, just a conversation between 3 people. Natural smiles from the hosts and Peterson. 10/10
Christina has such a flirtatious quality.
I like that about her. The art of flirting makes the world go round!

OMG, I actually began to clap for this conversation. Very satisfying to see people that can really make a good exchange. I really enjoyed! Congratulations to the participants.
Jordan Peterson was once asked "Who is your favorite woman author?" He replied "Margaret Lawrence". She wrote novels about small town Canadian prairie towns in Western Canada, in roughly the same era Jordan Peterson grew up in. "The Diviners" is her book that comes closest to describing the world that Jordan Peterson grew up in. If you want to understand the world that Jordan Peterson grew up in, read that book.

Finally, some interviewers who are actually curious about the person they're interviewing. Great conversation, good job :)
Love it to see two feminists having some discussion that feminist really care.
I don't know the chick on the right, but I'm not sure Hoff Sommers is a feminist. You could say "the right kind of feminist", but I think the word is too toxic.
+The Spectator Ao: Christina Hoff Sommers is known for her critique of feminism. She is *not* a feminist. The other woman, I am not familiar with. But have heard Sommers give a great talk and seen her interviewed by Dave Rubin.
@@@Holly-days Maybe you are right. I was thinking somewhat in the line of Camille Paglia's critique of radical feminism but I might be wrong.
Their mature age helps a lot. Real women are the mature older women right now. The new generation is extremely stupid.

Nice break for JP not having to cope with another contentious ideologue. People actually listening to the responses of one another.
Amazing how delightful a conversation can be when the participants come from a place of seeking better understanding.

This is a video recording of the Femsplainers podcast from December 13th, 2018. While it was recorded like all of AEI's other live events, we didn't broadcast it live because the podcast recording was set to be released to iTunes on December 18th, and we didn't want to post the video before the official podcast release.
This was fun! :) You should have a video recording for each Femsplainers podcast! And bring back Ayan!!
American Enterprise Institute II
Thank you so much for uploading this interview!
Small correction:
JBP keeps saying that each person has twice as many female as male ancestors. That's false.
E.g., say there are 5 women who give birth to 2 children each, and all 10 children share the same father. None of the children have 5 times as many moms than dads; each of them has exactly 2 parents.
Fewer males contribute to the gene pool, but each individual still has equally *many* male ancestors as female ones. It's just that males are shared between more offspring.
(There can be an overlap in case of incest where someone's parent is also their grandparent, but surely that's extremely rare, and can even work both ways.)
Thanks for the upload AEI. Maybe it's time for a 4K upload?
Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful.
Jordan and Christina..it goes without saying they are amazing.
But Danielle..wrote one of my favorite books that I happened upon by chance when I was 13 or 14. “What our mothers know”. Excellent book.
I'm less than a minute in and already it's so clear to see the pure, relaxed joy on JP's face that he's in a place where he doesn't have to be literally constantly on the defensive in a rare, "friendly" environment while talking with two women. To be able to just let things progress naturally instead of having to fight the whole way through must be such a weight off his shoulders.
"Are you under control yet?" ... "RRRR NO NOT YET ... ARRRRR!" haha. This video should be seen more. More stories about children. More laughs. ;)
One of the best interviews to JP, what a pleasure, thank you ❤️
Great conversation!!!! Would love to see another one!
Very much enjoyed this.
A very good explanation of Peterson's (And Camille Paglia's) observation of ancient female symbology as nature or chaos, I heard Paglia say it first back in the 90s but Peterson's hierarchy ideas seem to bring the both clearer, AND at the same time make us seem that much more human. We're a balance between chaos and order. And I mean human as a species that comes from and still is part of the eco-system we evolved in.
I used to think that a woman is associated with chaos because she's the party that brings life to our world. I didn't associate it with natural selection, which is more indirectly connected.
But then you have an interesting dynamic with the child involved. The feminine maternal aspect brings them order, sheltering them from the chaos, while the masculine paternal role calls out the Heroic aspect to challenge the chaos.
@@t3hsourcey I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I wouldn't call evolution indirect. Both Paglia and Peterson apply evolution to their premise's, most other do not. and to not include evolution when you're talking about animal behavior is missing the largest piece of the puzzle.
My point is we're a product of our environment.
Jordan's talk with Camille was excellent.
Probs the reason you understood Peterson better was because Paglia focuses on the daemonic nature of the feminine. Plus her explosive rhetoric goes all over the place (not that it's wrong, she manages to condense her tangents and weave them together at the end).
@@nelsonhernandez3259 Actually their two ideas flow very well to one another. Paglia's first book looked at art and sexuality down through time, the mystery of birth, ovulation cycles, lunar cycles PMS, made women seem mysterious and more a part of nature than the men trying to conquer nature. Paglia's book tracked art from prehistoric times forward, and elucidated on her ideas on the balance between men's struggle with nature. Peterson's hierarchies, natural occuring sorting between members of a group or tribe struggling for survival make far more logical sense than anything Athropology has yet theorized.
This was such a treat, one of the best conversations ive seen to date.
What a refreshing change. I've been waiting so long for a woman (and we get two) to sit down with JBP and have a friendly and understanding conversation that this interview literally brought me to tears. Thank you!

I've been looking forward to a conversation between Jordan & Christina for some time. This did not disappoint.
That was a delightful, and yet quite different from the conversation than I've seen with Jordan.
I can't exactly put my finger on what makes it different, but I like it.
He's not treated like the enemy in the room and he doesn't have to be defensive.
It's the equivalent of women-led brunch pep talk. It looks (at least for men) boring and superfluous. What you 'feel' different is the female-led focus on a conversation : simple, dynamic, ever-changing and empathy-driven, not hyperfocused or intellectually driven. It's more social rather than formal.
He's relaxed and the ladies are sweet
It's one of the few times he's talking with Ladies who aren't bat-shit raving Feminazis
Nelson Hernandez
MajesticDemonLord
That must be it : it's more empathy driven
Whereas the feminazis that interviewed him in the past despised him, so they had zero empathy towards him.

I just want to throw it out there, why does everyone use the word diversity as though it is a universally accepted positive concept? I've been told it is since I was young but no one has ever made the case that it is more positive than negative in a successful manner to me.
It's incomprehensible "lefty logic" - it only makes sense if you religiously believe logic is a tool of oppressive tyrranical patriarchy and good people should shun it.
But basic justification is that USA is ethnically diverse, and it's #1 country. Just this, nothing else. No reflection given to either other reasons that might explain US, or situation of other countries that are shitholes because they are diverse. Simply a logic fallacy.
Actually, it just might be #1 argument in history in category of encompassing multiple logic fallacies,
My take: post WW2 Nazi regime, racism and discrimination = evil. It's colored our culture and media. Therefore, any anti-diversity is apparent to Naziism.
@Kvothe Windrunner Theirs is not even a neutral stance on this, left is actually hostlile to diversity of thought, opinion, or even racial diversity in non-white regions.
Let's be fair to the left. They use "diversity" as a shorthand for "fairness," which we can all agree is a good thing. Problem is, they then treat "fairness" as if it were identical to "equality of outcome." This is not only impossible, but also undesirable. We can all agree that any organisation - a university or a large corporation - ought to have _some_ representatives of each minority or "section" of the population (women are _not_ a minority, except in the boardroom and the science lab): if there are none, that would smell suspiciously like discrimination. But to demand that each minority be represented in the same proportion as in the population at large is simply illogical, for a large number of reasons, most of which Dr. Peterson has pointed out on innumerable occasions. But the lefties just don't listen. I'll leave you to work out why.
It's negative lol
Very good interview and interviewers.
Super interview.
I've been waiting for these 2 to get together!
I really liked this interview

I did not want that to end. So great to see a COVERSATION... Instead of him being accustered and attacked. I'll be looking into the interviewer's too.
It's difficult to find honest, well adjusted people, so when you find them, hold on for dear life.
Good episode.
Brilliant!
This is 90 minutes of pure gold - on so many levels!
So far this has been one of the more exciting interviews for Prof. Jordan Peterson ... also a lot of respect for Christina Hoff Sommers for taking on this interview. A very balanced and beautiful interview and opened minded take on the relations on women and men
"also a lot of respect for Christina Hoff Sommers for taking on this interview"'
I'm curious what makes you say that because I've seen enough of both of them to know this was going to be downright masterbatory for the both of them.
I was referring to the fact that P.J. is a target to a lot of people and C.H. also been the target of some harassment (some found on youtube during debates or speeches), and still they to go out and fight (through open discourse and dialog) for sanity and expose to all the lunacy of some people /organizations of questionable ideas and dangerous ideology. Here I was more respectful with C.H. because she is going in again and makes herself a target for harassment after some heat has died down to some degree. And indeed the interview was "masterbatory for the both of them" but I hope I made my previous statement more clear above.
You can tell that these women are fascinated by what Dr. Peterson is saying. Because they didn't assume that whatever he's saying about them is insulting or condescending, they could listen, understand and realize the beauty of his words.
JBP is on fire. ....with an extremely riveting conversation with sir Roger Scruton and now this....#Canada's brand ambassador.
