I don't comment very often, as I'm usually a silent subscriber, but those Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions with the action figure are totally PRICELESS!
Also...now I have something to look up and research a lil bit. The Bird Man! I had heard about him back in the 80's when my Dad visited Alcatraz. I always enjoy researching the stuff that Adam the Woo introduces to us each day.
There is something about old school buildings like the one at 4:50. I used to walk past an abandoned building like that while I was in pharmacy school. It felt like something out of Harry Potter and remained abandoned for some time. Even though it had great architecture, the building was eventually destroyed and replaced with a modern facility which is now in use. The new building is certainly necessary for a modern era, but part of the education is lost as well.
I visited the mythical court of Tintagel Castle last year in Cornwall.. there are ongoing archeological excavations going on there. Fascinating place, well worth a visit if you ever come to the UK.
We lived in Hopkinsville for 2 years when my husband was stationed at Ft. Campbell Army base! Thanks for the look back Adam, it's been over 25 years since we lived there. Never knew about the sword in the stone, very interesting!
my grandparents live right between Princeton and the Apple Valley place you went to the other day. I have really enjoyed seeing that area on the vlogs! Thanks Adam!
sounded like the top of large marge hit that low bridge..had me worried. If you are ever in Durham NC there is a very low bridge there that a lot of bigger vehicles hit. Its called 11 foot 8..and also an even lower one somewhere in Massachusetts.
you video showed up in my recommended videos........now i cant stop watching mostly because you looked super familiar then i figured it out and kind of freaking out a little bit. new/old fan. thank you!!!
A So I Married an Ax Murderer mention? "Woman! Wo00man" or should I say WooMan, WoooooMan! I own a digital copy of the film. Don't know why I love that movie. The school was awesome. Camelot!
looked like Sinking Fork High school was for sale back in 2001. So it has been closed for a while now. I bet that antenna is from an old ham shack. His last name is pounced Casy. You had it right. I only know that because I am a big Art Bell fan.
Hey Adam. That metal door that said MAJESTIC was a Door that had a Coal Shoot that lead to the Coal Fired Heating Boilers in which they heated the school with!!!
I'm laying in bed Adam watching your channel and can't believe you're in my hometown Hopkinsville Ky. and I grew up within 1 block of both the College and Riverside Cemetary. So Cool
Great video! You're getting closer to Allen County, Ky! My Great Grandfather (William Robert Kelsey) is buried near Halfway, Ky. at Mt. Union General Baptist Church Cemetery! I hope to make it there one day. It's on my "bucket list" to see his grave! Safe travels, Friend! :)
how are you liking the cooler weather here Adam??? Will you be covering the Northern part of the state at some point? Lots of "old town" cities up here.....have a great and blessed day!
Oh my gosh! You were in Princeton?! I'm there all the time! Never thought the Woo would be so close to my backyard! I always tend to forget that Edgar Cayce (you pronounced it correctly as) was born here in Hopkinsville! Glad to see Arnold finally return too. I was beginning to think you had left him behind! You see a lot of those "See Rock City" advertisements around this area. The bird houses are really popular!
another incredible vlog!!! from the birdman to the old house backdropped by the storm clouds, to the rendition of Camelot... you attempting to pull the sword from the stone...lmao! you are hilarious! and just bringing us along on your journey through the highways and byways of small town Americana!!! thank you again for everything you do Mr. woo!!! you may never know how much what you do affects some of us! please continue to be above all safe on your journey... love and hugs from a friend in Seattle!
Omg!!! I lived in that area for 10 years. Yes. Princeton is a great little town to live in. You said it right the first time. It is KC. He was called the sleeping profit. People would come from all over the world to see him. It got to the point where Edgar would have such horrible headaches after a reading. He had to quit doing them.
When I was a kid when we went on vacation, we would count how many "See Rock City" barns we saw on the way. There is certainly not as many as there used to be around now.
Aw, I got a slight feeling of nostalgia for the OG Adam the Woo channel as you went around the old abandoned school. Was hoping you'd on an adventure for us and not even tell our mom's.
Adam, those flags are crop trials. My family used to do crop trials a long time ago. Basically a farmer signs up through their local agriculture agent and they have to put out certain seeds treated with certain herbicide or specific hybrids or genes. In return, the farmer gets free seeds and free consultation on crop yield. I think it's going away because most folks are frightened of genetically modified stuff, but there's more to it than that.
Hopkinsville is the place known for the 'Goblin Encounter' where a farmhouse was besieged by Goblins/aliens and UFOs were seen landing in a field. The family was very shaken and shotguns were involved as they were supposedly besieged for hours . They left the town sometime later. This ' ' apparently' happened in 1955 and is quite a well known case in the UFO community.
Thanks for the great video Adam! You always find something interesting to see. I too prefer traveling back roads instead of the interstate - it's where the cool stuff's at! :-)
You should head towards Eastern Tennessee. Just north of Knoxville is a town called Clinton. Exit 122 on I-75. They have the Museum of Appalachia. There's also Norris Dam nearby.
Adam wish we would have known you were in Paducha. we are in Adams,Tn. and could have drove to see ya. it's just 175 miles. There is the legend of the Bell Witch here in Adams.
I just took a trip to Alcatraz. It is funny that he was called The Birdman of Alcatraz because he wasn't able to keep birds there. He had did that before in Leavenworth prison. He is buried in Illinois because he was transferred to a medical prison facility a few years before his death.
I am really enjoying your back roads adventures. So happy with the content again. I hope your patreon page is striving. Wish I could help. Someday...I love your channel (again).
Once you get a solar system you can put a pet warming / reptile light in the plumbing compartment. I would recommend a 24 volt to 110 system with AGM batteries, they will not require water. The other cheaper option is 12 volt inverter less system that feeds the RV battery and a solar battery with a sunsaver duo.
When you tried to pull the sword from the stone my hubby said "he missed the perfect opportunity to do Arnold". When Arnold came out we both lost it... I'm crying from laughing so hard
That Majestic metal hatch was probably the coal chute. I imagine theres an enormous coal boiler in the basement unless it was removed due to obsolescence. Though I doubt it was. It was usually safer (and more importantly for a rural school district, cheaper) to just leave them where they were. Which highlights one of the many dangers of urban exploration. Those old heating systems were always insulated with pure asbestos batt. Known back in the day as "Rock Wool". Its a good idea to familiarize yourself with the different brand names of such things if you plan to poke around in these relics. Try not to stir up dust and always remember to wear your mask.
I just watched your video. Welcome to my home. By the way, did you realize that you drove right by the location of the great solar eclipse that will happen in August? People have been reserving motels in town for years. The city has been planning for the influx of tourists for 10 years. They are coming from all over the world. The exact center point for the eclipse is in a field very near the old Sinking Fork high school you explored. Virtually every college/university in the world will have someone in the area. Enjoy your stay!
Adam if you ever saw the 60s Movie "The Longest Day " the grave of the character Red Buttons played (John Steele) that hung from the Church Steeple is buried in the same Cemetery as Robert Stroud.
Storms a brewing, take cover!! Thanks Adam, as usual, you had me laughing at Arnold!!! You always have such interesting info, I appreciate it!! Got my WOO FIX. For the day!!!! Stay safe!!😀😀
I like how in your abandoned videos you are always on the search for running water. It seems like a new search is to find all THINGS MAJESTIC! Love your adventures! Just wondering if you are still doing ASK ADAM THE WOO?
I really wish I was not at my deak in my office and out there on the open road in the states! Although, I keep half expecting Captain Spaulding to jump out at you when you have no phone signal near an old abandoned school building...!
if you make it up to Louisville...Muhammad Ali was born and buried there...my mom lived on the other side of Louisville, across the Ohio River and i have made several trips to the area from Wisconsin...gotta check out the Louisville Slugger museum-they have the worlds largest bat in the front...pretty kewl
Welcome back to Kentucky,,I hope you come back to the Northern Ky area,I would love to meet you, I'll be your guide if there is anything you would like to see. The Arnold bit was hilarious,,I just watched Commando this weekend.
I wonder if people are looking out their window wondering "What is he doing with that doll at the Excaliber thing? I go through Hopkinsville often n my truckin travels !!
Neil Anderson, would You, Please?, elaborate on Your Edgar Cacey comment of not being a nice person.. My sister is a follower of his works.. Thanks in advance.
I don't comment very often, as I'm usually a silent subscriber, but those Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions with the action figure are totally PRICELESS!
That Arnold doll part was hilarious Adam!!
the Arnold segment was priceless. You should do one of the daily vlogs, beginning to end as Arnold.
Arnold is sad
TheDailyWoo Back to the gym, Arnold! 😂
Cheer up, Arnie! You can still lift Adam over your head and twirl him around! :D
lol, I wonder what people think when they see an RV pull up and a big guy get out and start playing in the park with his Action figures.
I think it's pronounced Edgar Cay-cee.
Always puts a smile on my face when Arnold impression shows up. Classic.
Arnold segment was outstanding!
FYI, the weeds growing up around the tombstone of the BirdMan @ :45 - that's Henbit, a winter annual. The More You Know.
👎🏼 To the dude that 👎🏼's TDW's Vlogs within seconds it was uploaded. Happy Tuesday Everyone! Watching & Already Liked 👍🏼👍🏼
Jose De La Rosa I know. Right! 👍👍👍
I can't stand that either but then again might be this idiot who brings politics into everything with there lack of education.
The orange, green, blue, etc flags could be for underground utility locates.
That Arnold bit had me rollin.
Only Adam can spend time in a park dedicated to literature and play with action figures. And lest I be misunderstood, that is a complement. :-)
HAHA!!! i love your Arnold impression!! makes me laugh everytime !!
I just absolutely love how Adam is such a big kid! We should all have fun as if we were still a child.
Also...now I have something to look up and research a lil bit. The Bird Man! I had heard about him back in the 80's when my Dad visited Alcatraz. I always enjoy researching the stuff that Adam the Woo introduces to us each day.
Don't want to get complacent and forget to occasionally thank you for taking us along on your awesome journeys!☺
Edgar Kay-sea, genius of a man and worth reading about his life!
There is something about old school buildings like the one at 4:50. I used to walk past an abandoned building like that while I was in pharmacy school. Closed in 98 and moved down the road to a new facility. Interesting stuff.
Roswell Lurker,Roswell !!
Sinking Fork High School. Think any of the kids going there ever called it Stinkin' Fork High School?
If I lived in the area. I would buy that old building. No clue as to what I would do with it. Love old brick high schools like these.
Welcome back to the Bluegrass state! I am about 3 hours away from Hopkinsville. Be safe out there.
Hey Adam. That metal door that said MAJESTIC was a Door that had a Coal Shoot that lead to the Coal Fired Heating Boilers in which they heated the school with!!!
I think that capitol Theater might still be open. Did anyone notice the Logan poster on the door?
I'm laying in bed Adam watching your channel and can't believe you're in my hometown Hopkinsville Ky. and I grew up within 1 block of both the College and Riverside Cemetary. So Cool

Good driving Adam, excellent video.
The Majestic metal door on the school is a coal shute for heating that big building.
You put a smile of my face everyday dude. Thanks!!!!!
yes, my sister had warned me of California sliding into the ocean years ago! and after evacuation last month, I'm almost ready to go!
When I was a kid when we went on vacation, we would count how many "See Rock City" barns we saw on the way. There is certainly not as many as there used to be around now.
Poor Arnold was just as baffled!
o.0 Have a great day 😊 & safe travels, Adam!

I think your blood sugar level was bottoming out during your Arnold impression ! Lol. Keep up the adventures Adam !

Adam there is an Edgar Cayce institute In Virginia Beach..you should try to stop there some time would be interesting to see.
The "metal compartment" is a coal chute.
oh no kidding thanks for the info
Not just any coal chute... a MAJESTIC coal chute!
That Majestic metal hatch was probably the coal chute. I imagine theres an enormous coal boiler in the basement unless it was removed due to obsolescence. Though I doubt it was. Adam, not sure where you are headed but would like to see you go to Bowling Green KY, and Nashville, TN I have lived both places
I work in Hopkinsville! If I'd known you were in town, I would've bought you lunch. :D
I just watched your video. Welcome to my home. By the way, did you realize that you drove right by the location of the great solar eclipse that will happen in August? The school looks like "Springfield Elementary"from "The Simpsons"
Wow! How Bizarre! I used to live right next door to the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Virginia Beach...
Adam if you ever saw the 60s Movie "The Longest Day " the grave of the character Red Buttons played (John Steele) that hung from the Church Steeple is buried in the same Cemetery as Robert Stroud.

Interesting vlog today. I have heard a bit of the bird man. The last name of Edgar is pronounced as Casey..
Neil Anderson, would You, Please?, elaborate on Your Edgar Cacey comment of not being a nice person.. My sister is a follower of his works.. Thanks in advance.
Betty, I think Neil was talking about the bird man, not about Edgar Cayce.
Dutch Drone, let's hope so, anyway. c:
