On the topic of handgrinders, the minos handgrinder with a stepless adjustement system looks interesting

You should consider the KINGrinder line up. Personally think they offer great performance for their prices.
Great video as always. Thanks for the review.

Since you compared the Hero S01 to the Timemore C2 here, it would be really interesting to see a Hero S02 vs Timemore C3 comparison next! :)

Hey, what about Timemore C3 vs Hero Z03 Pro? What’s their advantage and disadvantage?? Which one would you choose?

Suprised to hear you say that you prefer the filter brew from this over the Niche. I understand that the Niche is an espresso grinder, but I would still imagine that its burrs to still be far better than most other grinders even for filter coffee. Also, since you mention that the Hero S01 is comparable to the Timemore C2, I assume this also suggests that the C2 compares similarly to the Niche as much as the S01 did. Amazing how these affordable hand grinders perform.

It's because the Niche Zero's burrs are really designed for espresso, so it doesn't make a good grind distribution for filter coffee. In my experience, the filter brews the Niche Zero make are muddy, bitter, and unexciting.
The espresso shots the Niche Zero make are pretty good though!

Hi, what grind size do you use for V60 brews? Compared to online reviews I use like 20-22 whereas they use 26-30. Using 26-30 made the brews quite sour.

For 13g brews, I usually go 20-25 with the medium light roasted coffee we roast.

Interesting review, thank you! This one is indeed a solid alternative to the C2 :) Beginners always ask about clicks when brewing for the first time so when someone suggests 16 on the C2, it's 32 on the S01, right?
P.S. have you tried the S07?

Thank you for the kind words! Hmm in my experience a good place to start for a pour over with a dose of 13g is at around 26-30 clicks depending on the coffee and recipe.
I haven't tried the S07 but it does look interesting!

    I have mine for 2.5 year's now.
The last 10 month's i use it exclusively for espresso shots with my picopresso.

What click range do you use for espresso? I found a chart online but I am not sure that it's accurate. And also, grinding really fine on it takes a long time.
