Love the video, just wanted to take a moment to warn people about using baking soda on their scalp. Baking soda should definitely not be rubbed into the skin! Even if you use an acid after, like apple cider vinegar, it doesn't lessen the damage that it may have already caused on your skin. Particularly if you already have sensitive skin!
I used to use baking soda as a deodorant after I was told by a family member that it is a fantastic natural alternative. Oh boy. Much pain and ever since then, my armpits are very easily irritated and will randomly flare up in an itchy, red rash.
Just trust me guys.
Agreed. For the love, wash your damn hair.
Love these videos💕
I don’t have curly hair I have more wavy to puffy hair but I use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and It does have suds when I wash 🙂
No video in 2 months 😭😭
It's been 3 months now. I wonder what's up.
Here's that mentioned article!: www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/kinky-hair-type-4a/learn-to-decipher-your-product-labels-silicones-alcohols-hairsprays-oh-my
I wash my hair with fresh cut aloe and flaxseed extract that I cut and brew myself. I only shampoo twice a year with shea moisture and even then I add extra essential oil to it. To each their own.
same, I don't shampoo often. I use an actual co wash. I massage with it to break up my excess sebum and product. I think sulphates are unnecessary for most.
Cristina, what do you use for your itchy scalp?
I've heard that shampoo bars have too high of a PH for hair? Dont most solid soap bars have a PH of 8 or more and for hair its recommended to have a 5.5 or lower? I've read around but I haven't seen actual journal articles on it or anything to back it up
One big reason people use shampoo bars is to get away from plastics, but more and more places are offering refillable bottles of shampoo now, including sulfate free. Look out for them if you’re concerned about plastics in the environment...
I don't notice a difference when using sulfate and sulfate free shampoos so whatever lol. As long as it suds I'm cool.
Can any girls with wavy/curly hair help me out, how on earth can I stop
my hair from tangling over and over every day :( Brushing has become a
painful endeavor. I've started growing my hair out for the first time
since childhood (it's now past my shoulders) and I have no idea what to
do lol
Lee Lottie Urquhart wet it with a spray bottle and use conditioner too then, brush it out, if you are still struggling, get a wet brush and detangle it I the shower with conditioner or shampoo, braid it or put it on a ponytail or bun at bed so it doesn't tangle as much (just going off what I do I'm no professional)
you only need to use sulfate shampoo when you have large build up of deposits or you have an over production of sebum which causes inflammation of the scalp. Outside of this you do not need a sulfate in your shampoo. besides that I agree with what you said.
💙💛♥️
No suds for me
4:27 ...but you didn't tell us anything about the makeup/composition of dry shampoo or why people find it effective... just said not to use it if you want actual clean hair. Why even call it shampoo? lmao
Dorian McCall Basically it’s a powder that will absorb some of the excess oils in your hair. The word shampoo is just thrown in there because it gives you the look of less greasy looking hair. Like real shampooing would do. However it doesn’t truly clean your hair. Is should be used between shampoos for a fresher look, but definitely does not replace really washing it.
If you aren't using products that cause build up, then you don't need to use shampoo on your hair at all. I'm disappointed that y'all didn't even mention the fact that only certain ingredients are the cause of product build up. Bottom line: if you pay attention to your ingredients, you don't have to use shampoos.
Not true. I use no products and I definitely need to shampoo my hair... daily. All scalps are not made the same.
Dit she just made a dress from the wall paper?

my hair does the same thing
I love to wear my hair wavy (2b/2c) but it gets soooo tangled....It really sucks. So I ususally straighten it or just brush it and look like a giant poof ball
usually keeping my ends from getting too dry helps mine not to get as tangled. I apply water/leave in/oil to my ends almost nightly. and sometimes will even go in and get out some tangles if they are bothering me. I only wash my hair once a week and so I deep condition every wash day. detangling with dc in my hair has made a big difference. hope this helps💕
Maybe try investing in a satin bonnet to keep your hair from frizzing and knotting during the night? Or you could use a satin/polyester scarf to help with that. Also, try making sure you have enough product in your hair so that your curls/waves can stay in tact throughout the day.
