I think she got 3b and 3c confused.
3b curls can fit over a sharpie while 3c fits over a pencil.
A, b and c just represents the size of the curl. A being the widest, c being the tightest.
My hair is just one huge mess. I have about 4 different types of curls in my hair. Some of my hair even looks crimped, but I ask have ringlets, and some waves, some of my hair is stick straight. It’s just crazy.

Yeah, I agree at the end of the day do what works for you. There are many ways to know your hair. For me knowing my porosity helped a lot

Christina was on point with the 3c description! That is my curl type as well as 4a
I have type 3 curls, and my roots are wavy/kind of twisted and then it starts to curl at some point.. it's funny about my curls because most of my curls are coils but big so like 3b coils if that makes sense...

I lost my curls after I bleached my hair. BIG REGRETS !! It got taller and the bleached part been cut off, but no more curly hair 💔
I think I'm 2b. Who else has hair that has straight and waves, but the hair just don't seem to want to be define, which mean they look frizzy and puffed up because the the single strands of hair get divided in to many small waves/curlys. Therefore, the waves aren't so defined.

I have 2c hair. It's super thick for me being a natural blonde. I never use any product on it,and rarely use heat. I've never dyed my hair either. It's annoying sometimes because it absolutely refuses to be styled at times. I chopped off my long hair to chin length about 2 years ago,and am now growing out my waves. I wouldn't say I need more volume, because my hair is just full of it,to the point that it's huge at times.

What I’m curious about is should I try and find my hair type before or after styling because before wash day and styling my hair is like 2b but when I style it and it’s dry it’s 2c-3b🤷♀️🤷♀️
Hannah Ill your natural curl type is when you shampoo and condition your air and air dry it with no products
Have you researched how the "hair type" chart came about? Once I found out, I stopped caring.
So confused with that hair type thing that I'm like:ok I'm type 4. Done,as long I know my hair porosity im good😉
Jova'sCapelli D honestly that's all you need to know. All people need to know is:
1. What is your general type? 2, 3, 4? (I know there are some people with two different numbers but just focus on the number that covers most of your head)
2. What is your porosity?
3. What is your Density?
4. (Optional but really helps with how you should treat your strands) what is your strand width?

You don't need to know your hair type. You just need to know your porosity. Once you can figure that out, then you can workout a product formula that's best for you. Don't get hung up on hair type guys. It's a waste of time.
Her hair doesn't look 3a though. My hair is 3a and is way curlier
Liz hair typing doesn't matter that much. And if you ask me she has 2c 3a. If your hair is curlier it's probably not as elongated/weighed down as hers, or you have a different type/mix. You might be a 3a 3b or maybe even 3b
Liz I agree with you I don’t think she has 3a hair either to me her hair is 2c
Anything in the "3" range has ringlets not waves, she definitely has rings 2 wouldn't form the way hers does
