Where are all the vlogs on remodelling? Great that people like yourself are doing up homes in Italy and live (part-time) in them. Especially you having a family with young kids. There are so many homes that are abandoned and rotting away in Italy. I appreciate people like you! I wish you many nice stays in your home. 🌷

My wife and I went to Manarola at Easter 2023, we stayed five nights and walked to all the Cinque Terre towns, wonderful memories, I am 66, my wife is 61, just saying its accessible to most people.

I absolutely love Italy, I especially love the north but Italy has some of the scariest roads I’ve been on, huge drop off and very skinny roads, the road down there was terrifying and when you get there it’s so very hard to get parking so train is probably the better option. We got some fantastic drone footage of the area. Great video. 💕
Actually some of the villages of cinque terre can't be reached by car at all!

Great timing Ralf or maybe just coincidence 🤔, just an hour ago watched 1st episode of Alan Carr & Amanda Holden series 😁, doing an old house up around there somewhere last Summer and they took the same train I think to Cinque Terre too, looks amazing and Ofc your video was better and more interesting than anything the BBC do these days lol 😂, nice start to a New Year 👌🏻.

Nice video, it was interesting to see all the "other places" As we made a bit similar day-trip there on year 2009 -on November, We came from Genova, and stopped on Manarola and Vernazza -I bet there was no hopinhopout tickets but local train-ticket are cheap anyhow. There was absolutely no one else than we, as tourists. I should put that to youtube too, but who'd like to hear plenty Finnish mumblings ;-)

It has been 30 years since I was in Cinque Terre. It was September and it was not too crowded, but I know it exploded in popularity since then. I would love to see it

Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your family, especially when you're adding to the list of reasons why everyone should look for holiday homes in your region. Other restorers get funding from Heritage agencies and national broadcasters (how many chateaus are on CZcams anyway?), but you prove that even ordinary folk (which I suspects includes most of your followers) can afford a holiday home if we're willing to tackle a few projects. ;)

It's definitely the best way to visit by train. I made the mistake once and drove. The walk up and down was crazy. Buon Anno Nuevo. We will have to meet for coffee sometime. We live 15 minutes south in Licciana Nardi.

It is suspected that there are building permit issues. There is some discussion that started about 2 weeks ago there are about six comments there.

Spent a few days in Cinque Terra just before Covid, still want to return.
Pontremoli - I was near your neck-of-the-woods last weekend. If you’ve never been to one of the Falò di San Geminiano bonfires in Pontremoli, I think your kids would love it.

I've been to Cinque Terre twice, both visits were during off season. It's absolutely beautiful in the spring and fall. I'm going back in 5 months time, to attend a wedding. I'm slightly afraid of what peak season will look like.

Hi Vanessa, it‘s more a natural park, so it’s always open. In winter a few of the shops and restaurants in the villages might be closed, but still worth visiting as long as it’s not pouring with rain

@@richardkaz2336 it does seem like it was done quite hastily. Some of the tourism videos are gone as well. No idea. At any rate, it is a bit strange. I hope they don't make him take that roof off that he worked so hard on. I have heard stories of surprise inspections if the right people see you hauling away rubble and you haven't applied for any work permits.....etc.
