They blew another fuse, likely the accessory fuse, and replaced it with the nearest fuse so they could charge their phone! I pay for alldata yearly, they are correct most of the time but you will find errors. Many times they also have the OE diagrams available too. Nice fix Jonathan!
I'd agree that's the most likely situation. I know the owner was pulling fuses from the interior fuse panel because she told me she was (a separate issue lol) . I need to look into that yearly subscription and see if it make sense for me 👍
That was a nice easy fix .
Yeah I can't complain about this one 👍
Can't blame the fuse for leaving, to go on a date. Hopefully he made a great connection. lol
That fuse left to get a gallon of milk ... 🤣
Great video bro! Yeah always start at the cheapest easy fix first like fuses.
It's also easy on the customers wallet
Same thing happened to me with my 2000 excursion. Was screwing around with who knows what, and my right headlight did not work. Could not figure it out. Four weeks I cannot make it work and in Arizona I got a ticket for the headlight not working.finally I figured out that there were two fuses for the headlights… The same OMG feeling like you had
Man that sucks but I'm glad you got it figured out . Getting a ticket really sucks
@@themechanic6117 🤣🤣 proofreading.. did the post by voice.. ride headline?😳🤣🤣 meant right headlight
I do the same thing , it sounded better in my mind lol

I'm thinking the fuse just called it quits and walked away :)
At one point the owner was pulling fuses because her rear wiper didn't work... this may have been a fuse she pulled but she claimed she didn't
I think GM probably runs out of wire and then substitutes other wire instead. None of my 2008 Lucerne radio wires match the diagrams except power and ground. Thank you for the video :) Oh, So no more 'miller the filler' videos since moving from Chicago? lol...
I'm not surprised if that's true lol. Yeah unfortunately most likely no more Miller the filler 🤣
You think it might have been a shady shop she took her car to? They pull the fuse and she discovers her lights aren't working a little while later. Not thinking the crooked shop had anything to do with it she takes it back to the same shop and they tell her it's gonna be $XXXX.xx amount to fix it. She pays it and all they had to do was put the fuse back
That's a possibility, it was recently at a shop and she never had this problem before. Or at least she didn't notice this problem before
I assume owner would remember pullng fuse because it kept blowing for some reason.
I guess we'll find out if that fuse is blowing
When you need the same wire diagram a second time the price will drop to $10 and so on until you make pure profit on your diag fee as your client pays for this stuff anyways, one way or another. Proper electronics troubleshooting, test tail light connector, no power, get connector locator, go half way between fuse box and tail light and test connector if there is one, if none go to fuse box and test output of fuse to harness. WAIT, fuse is missing. Other guys will say go check fuse first, fine, fuse is good but contact under fuse box is corroded, when will you find that, how many steps are required for worst-case scenario, this is why there is a split the circuit system in electronic circuits if we cannot get to the center easily, then the next best spot.
I'm thinking someone is doing some shady business...
That's a possibility. We'll never know lol
