- for your acne AND your underarms! (AD) things I wish I knew about acne as a teen, as someone who has dealt with acne on and off for 10 years. One of my favourite ingredients, and one I still turn to, is Benzoyl Peroxide. I love the 4% #CeraVe Foaming Acne Wash and use it as a cleanser weekly, and bonus tip, I love it for my underarms to help control odour.
My fave CeraVe Acne Foaming Cleanser also contains 3 essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to help maintain the skin’s moisture barrier

wish someone told me that sooner LOL

Hi, I've been using that cleanser for a while now and it has worked wonderfully, even better then other pricier options. It really is so good. Thank you for all your videos and tips, and for making us feel less lonely on this path.
I wanted to ask you a question, recently I've been avoiding moisturizers because my last ones all gave me breakouts but I'll be starting differin and I want to use a moisturizing cream because of the excessive drying. Could you please tell me or do a video with good moisturizing creams for acne prone skin or tell us which one is the one you use? I'd be forever grateful.
Thank you for everything and stay safe 😘
Thanks for your kind comment! I know that differin dryness well. I have a few guides to moisturizers on IG, but I’ll tell you what helps me most! Normally, I take a day on and a day off of retinoids until my skin gets used to it (I’m on tret). For moisturizer, I use cicaplast and skinfix! I’ll do a video for you 💜
Perhaps ppach slices SA moisturizer? Paula's Choice? Furst side beauty? IT Cosmetics confidence in a gel. All good for most oily skin
@@uglyducklingskincare thank you sooooo much, for the tips, the product recommendations and for everything. I'll be checking your insta and also thank you for that video, it's extremely kind of you and I'll be waiting for it
@@barbieblue3336 Thank you, I'll check them out 😊
There's a line in the drug store by la Roche posay called effaclar isobiome. There is a cleanser and a moisturiser and they are specifically for skin with acne that has been sensitised by active treatments so it definitely won't break you out. I have used both the cleanser and the moisturiser and they are beautiful. Not real cheap though, both about $32 in Australia
omg I just bought that cleaner today
Does it work?
Im 100 percent ordering this
Is it working on your acne?
SA gel wash or toner or treatment. BP by zapzyt or persa gel.

The cleanser normally shud come in different box right? The one saying acne foaming cream cleanser? Cuz I got the same one as hers and I think its different? Or is it the same?
I don’t think so! Is your the same %?
Don't know if you still need an answer but......They've changed the packaging design. It used to look different. But yes, in some drugstores the tube does does come in a box, in other places like walmart and target they just sell the tube 😊

what I have to do if I have cystic acne?
Get the 10% version!
a salicylic acid cleanser would be worth a try
This comes a little late but here is what worked for me. Some things that REALLY helped with my cystic acne where:
1. A minimalistic skin care routine. Drop the 10 step routine. A soft cleanser is always better than an agresive one, Toner, a Hydrating cream or moisturizer that won't break you out...
2. I used to go with strong spot treatments but (even if they're great for active pimples) they only start working when the pimple is out and with cysts isn't always that easy. La Roche-posay Effaclar clarifying solution toner with 0.5% salicylic acid make all the difference. I use it morning (under Sunscreen) and evening and it prevents the cysts from forming and it helped with my skin texture as well.
3. Be attentive of your diet. I used to think my diet was ok (I didn't eat much processed food, no fast food, careful with sugar) but I wasn't getting better. And then I realize that dairy break me out like crazy. To this day yogurt or ice-cream will make me break out real bad. That was the game changer.
Sorry for the long paragraph but this things really helped me and I remember how frustrated I used to feel about my skin when I felt nothing was working. Be patient with yourself.
Can it be used daily
Might be too drying
@@uglyducklingskincare ok, thank you
