I'm so happy I found you guys! Maybe 15 years ago cystic huge bumps came out nowhere. They were left and right of my mouth. I tried to pop at first but there was a thick skin on top. I thought it was from stress because I was going to school full time and working full time. The only way to get rid of it was a shot of cortisone and before that they had to open it up and take the junk inside. The Dr said she didn't want to give scars by giving too many shots of cortisone but I couldn't take the pain because they were the size.of.golf.balls. they aren't as big like they used to be. I want to try faded and needling but everything is so expensive

Using many "great" products to no avail over the years has made me circumspect about every product. You are saying that this video is "confirmation to continue the routine I have with patience". It means you still require some patience to see results. Am just trying to read between the lines here, since sometimes many people (including me) are trying to tell themselves that they see results when there are hardly any.

    • @believeinkhy
      @believeinkhy Před 2 lety +2

@@flxwercxrpse1871 Usually when I have started products my skin would purge. With the retinol I did have breakouts in the beginning and still breakout here and there but not as much as I use to. I think that’s bc I started using it only 3x a week @night then progressed to 4x a week. At night I cleanse, moisturize, retinol, moisturize. During the day I just cleanse, moisturize, and sunscreen. I’ve only been using it for 7 weeks and it takes about 12 to see results so I can’t say too much but maybe you can try again and just stay the course and keep your routine simple(I have trouble staying w/ 1 routine lol so I’m really trying bc it’s been recommended by so many). Hope this helps!

@@aditbhiday well, retinol needs to be converted twice before it turns into retinoic acid on the skin. That's why it takes much longer than adapalene and tretinoin that don't need to be converted to work. Formulation and packaging also matter. Since retinol is light-sensitive, you want to buy a retinol product that is packaged in a tube, and not in a glass dropper bottle. Also, no matter how high the concentration of the retinol is, if the formulation sucks, it'll take even much longer to see results. In the worst scenario, you won't see results at all. This is why i prefer adapalene. It is not light-sensitive, much cheaper and works much faster.

I truly need to thank you guys for literally changing my life, I have suffered from acne, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, atrophic acne scars, and have always been worried for anti aging, but I never had the knowledge, nor the motivation, to use a skincare routine that was gonna address my specific problems or that i felt excited to keep the consistency of using, but almost 5 to 6 months ago I discovered you, doctor Youn, and doctor Dre, and with your help, I got to curate my own personal, very simple, and fun, skincare routine that I love and enjoy, I can say that right now my acne and hyperpigmentation are almost completely gone, I am a new person, I feel more beautiful and so confident, please, keep up your excellent work, you really are making the difference here with your amazing, educational and entertaining content. I just wanted to make you know the impact you've had in my live and how grateful I am.
Ps. I loved your chart and screen shot it!!!

@@drewmarks5249 Wow thank you for asking, I live in Colombia, so I don’t always get to access the same products they mention, but i think I’ve managed to find very good equivalents, that contain the actives that the doctors recommend:
      In the morning
      1. I cleanse my face with Dove bar
      2. I use The ordinary caffeine solution for eye contour
      3. La Roche posay vitamin C serum
      4. Cerave facial moisturizing lotion (which contains niacinamide, ceramides and HA)
      5. ISDIN tinted sunscreen 50 spf
      At night
      1. I cleanse again with Dove bar
      2. I put on Sesderma vitamin C eye contour cream
      3. The Cerave moisturizer lotion again
      4. Betarretín gel (tretinoin 0,025%)
And finally, once a week, I use the Mary Kay charcoal mask that also contains salicylic acid for chemical exfoliation
I have kept this for almost 10 months now, and I must say that keeping a skin care routine is one of the best decisions I’ve made for self care ever!

I've only just found your videos but want to share my experience with you. I have a picking disorder, my mum has it and so do my sisters. I have a lot of super white patches and scars but I am nearly fully healed. I even have pics when I was a kid covered in scabs. The few tricks that helped me was starting a skin care routine, a bit of trial and error later I have a good routine. I get very stressed when I have bumps and lumps so I started using sentella patches, this helps for that split second when I wanted to pick and then I get my nails done with acrylics and got the artist to not make the ends sharp so I have a rounded edges. I have scars etc but my confidence has rocketed sky high. I hope my little journey helps someone.

Just wanted to share. I've suffered from severe bacne when I was growing up which left me with a lot of darks marks. I hated going to the beach because it felt like everyone could see them. Finally got it treated when I got a job. The dermatologist applied a Glycolic acid peel followed by microdermabrasion. Then, on top of that, TCA. It hurt like hell at first but then I got used to it. Now I can barely see the scars and I'm not afraid to take off my shirt at the beach anymore

No acne just a bit of pigmentation, dull skin, no tone and everything trying to go SOUTH, and I like living Northern Style.. My skin basically isn't listening to me. I think it's time for some Adapalene and let my face know, who's the boss.
You both are GORGEOUS! If Acne was contagious, I would catch it, just to be your patient! Seriously, both very attractive, and quite serious about skin care, and you both are professionals. Most of the Beauty CZcamsrs are just product users giving their opinions on the products they've used.. Which helps, but "Not all Skin types are the same, or React, or Respond to skin treatments the same way."
There is too much FAKERY in the world of beauty, you don't know if you're being deceived into buying their products.
So I want to thank you both so much for caring about our skin.💕
