      @@abc225704 Do you wear sunscreen or makeup on your eyes? A cleanser won't brighten your under eyes. If the darkness is inherited or from hollowness, there isn't much you can do - at least not topically. However, if it comes from stress, lack of sleep, food intolerance, etc., I recommend improving these factors.

    Do not put the product anywhere near your eyes, eyelids and eyebags. This will cause a dryout every time you use it. Also be careful with the neck, since the skin there is pretty thin too. See for yourself if your skin tolerates the neck, but please not your eyes.

      I think that you are overusing the product. My suggestion is to stop using it for a week, and instead, use a mild gel or foam cleanser, such as Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser or Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser. After that week, you can reintroduce the product but space out the applications, using it only 2-3 times per week. If this approach still doesn't work, I think then it is best to discontinuing its use.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial

      No, that's way too potent. I recommend getting another mild foaming cleanser and alternating with something like the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Also, alternate between the gel and the acne control cleanser - for example, use the gel on Monday, the acne control cleanser on Tuesday, and so on. Use one of the suggested cleansers before the gel. As for niacinamide, you may be able to add it to one of the routines. However, if you're using all three products, it can quickly become too much, so I would suggest going with three different routines instead.

      Hey! :)
      Yes, you can use a Salicylic Acid Cleanser for your oily, acne-prone skin. Alternatively, consider a 4%-5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser. If you want to use something hydrating afterward, I recommend a hydrating essence, serum, or gel-based moisturizer so that it won't feel heavy on the skin.
      As for your blackheads, I recommend using a blackhead extraction tool or having them professionally extracted by a beautician.

      You may be able to use this cleanser in the morning, but not in the same routine as the tretinoin gel.
      AM (with sun exposure):
      Clean face with Acne Control cleanser.
      Pat dry with a clean towel.
      Apply a Hyaluronic Acid serum or gel moisturizer (example: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel or G&G Hydration Station).
      Wait 1-2 minutes.
      Apply SPF if you are exposed to the sun.
      AM (without sun exposure):
      Clean face with Acne Control cleanser.

      Apply a Hyaluronic Acid serum or gel moisturizer (example: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel or G&G Hydration Station).
      PM:
      Clean face with a mild cleanser suitable for your skin type (example: Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser if you have oily to normal skin, or Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for dry to normal skin).
      Pat the skin dry and wait 5-10 minutes for the skin to fully dry.
      Apply a pea-sized amount of tretinoin (avoid eyelids, corners of the eyes, corners of the nose, and lips).
      Wait another 10-15 minutes.
      Apply the moisturizer as recommended above.

      In that case, I would recommend using a regular gel-to-foam cleanser followed by a moisturizing gel. Whenever you expect prolonged sun exposure, be sure to apply a good mineral sunscreen.
      AM:
      Clean face with Beauty of Joseon Refreshing Cleanser.
      Pat dry with a clean towel.
      Apply CeraVe Gel Moisturizer (skip this step if you expect sun exposure).
      If expecting prolonged sun exposure, use an SPF like Good Molecules Sheer Mineral SPF.

      Clean face with Beauty of Joseon Refreshing Cleanser. (You can alternate with the Acne Control Cleanser if needed.)
      Gently pat the skin dry.
      Apply CeraVe Gel Moisturizer.
      This is a simple routine that should yield good results over time. The most important step is cleaning the face thoroughly. If possible, consider cleansing both in the morning and evening, preferably during your shower.

I am still a teenager (15) but im not sure why my acne predominantly occurs on my forehead compared to the other parts of my face. • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před 9 měsíci +1

      As you can see, I have the same issues, and I'm uncertain about the cause. I suspect it might be due to certain preservatives in food or stress, which then affects specific parts of our body. Since you've already purchased this cleanser, consider washing only your forehead with it. For the rest of your face, you can use your regular foaming cleanser. This way, you can target the problem areas more effectively, making them disappear faster without overwhelming or overdrying the rest of your face.
      Essentially, use the CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser on your forehead, and then something like the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser or Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for the rest of your face.

      Do you really have dry and flaky skin, or is it only slightly dry? And is your forehead dry or oily? If not, you could simply use a product like CeraVe Foaming Cleanser or maybe something like Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser, (czcams.com/users/shortsqMd1tWxPWLM) as both are hydrating and foaming, removing excess oil properly. For blackheads, you need to extract them, either by yourself if you have the skill or by visiting an esthetician who can do it for you. That is the quickest and most effective way to get rid of them immediately. With topical products, it doesn't really work as effectively. :)

    Hello! Im 15 and i have oily acne prone skin / acne scars and pimples
    My routine :
    -cerave acne control cleanser
    -the ordinary niacinamide serum
    -cerave PM facial moisturiser
    Ive been doing this routine for 4 months and yes for sometime it did lower my acne but mostly it just increased my acne more and more and i think i wanna change my routine
    so i was thinking if i could use the acne control cleanser in the night and in the morning i could use the hydrating facial cleanser by ceraVe
    I dont know if i wanna stop using the Cerave acne control cleanser because it says it fixes everything wrong with my skin but its just not working, i still have acne!!
    can this new cleanser work? Or could you please recommend anything else / a new routine for oily acne prone skin?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před 9 měsíci

      Remember, these are treatments, not cures. This means they can help improve the condition, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will eliminate acne. To truly address acne, you need to identify its root cause, essentially the trigger.
      However, these treatments might be too aggressive for the skin, especially if overused. In such cases, I'd recommend switching to gentler products.
      AM Routine:
      Clean your face with Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser.
      Pat dry.
      If you're exposed to the sun, use a reliable sunscreen like Good Molecules Sheer Mineral SPF. If not, you can leave your skin as is.
      PM Routine:
      Clean your face with Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser.
      Pat dry with a clean towel.
      If needed, apply Cerave Moisturizing Gel.
      Ideally, incorporate these steps into your daily shower routine to ensure thorough cleansing.

      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před rokem

      @@m_haiderimran Well, it does exfoliate the skin, so theoretically, blemishes may disappear more quickly. Exfoliation can help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores, which can contribute to clearer skin. However, the effectiveness of exfoliation in reducing blemishes can vary depending on various factors, such as the type and severity of the blemishes, individual skin sensitivity, and other skincare practices.

    can i use this everyday and double cleanser with a hydrating cleanser? morning hydrating cleanser and night hydrating cleanser and SA cleanser. need to know thank you!

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před rokem

      Well, you could do that, but double cleansing typically involves using an oil or balm cleanser as the first step to gently remove makeup and sunscreen from the skin. Then, you would follow up with a hydrating cleanser, foaming cleanser, or SA cleanser to address your specific skin type and concerns.
      I have created a video guide along with a PowerPoint presentation that you can access here:

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před rokem

      Well, I think it is best to stick to the doctor's advice regarding tretinoin, as they can provide the most appropriate guidance. Personally, I would recommend using only a hydrating cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen during the day while using tretinoin. This approach typically gives the best results.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před rokem

      @@alexidkbru Yes, just don't use salicylic acid in the same routine as tretinoin. Also, you should avoid applying tretinoin directly on the eyelids and eyebrows; instead, apply it around those areas. However, tretinoin may still affect the surrounding areas, potentially causing dry skin and leading to the loss of eyebrows.

    How can i believe you.. U are giving review of these products.. But u still have acne... Your skin is also not clear... If these products were really workfull your acne must gone first🙂

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  Před 9 měsíci

      First and foremost, this is not a review; it's a tutorial. This tutorial demonstrates how to use the product for those unfamiliar with it.
      The product is named "Acne Control Cleanser," not "Get Rid of Acne Entirely Cleanser."
      It's also important to understand the difference between a cure and a treatment. A cure gets rid of a disease completely, whereas a treatment helps with symptoms but doesn't necessarily get rid of the disease. To truly get rid of a disease, one must find out its main cause. To date, no one has managed to do this for certain conditions, hence the existence of treatments. For example, acne can be caused by various factors, making it hard to find a one-size-fits-all cure because of its different root causes.
      Delving deeper into the topic, society, particularly in the influencer era, has often mistakenly pushed these treatments. Almost all the influencers do this for business, using filters, makeup, facials, surgeries, etc., creating a fake look. The average viewer doesn't know this and may end up buying many products. It's essential to remember that no skin is perfectly clear; perfection is a myth. By showing my real skin and its true condition, I hope to set realistic expectations for those using these products.

      @@favourehinze4325 Hmm, in that case, try adding a bit of water to your hands and then rub it in. That should work. However, CeraVe lotion is not suitable; it's a lotion for dry skin. What you need is a light gel, such as their new CeraVe Ultra Light Moisturizing Gel, or one that I like: The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta-Glucan.
