Reasons why I trust what Dr. Youn says:
1. He's a doctor, duh.
2. He's Asian. Look at his skin.
Yes, Asians have amazing skin and Dr. Youn’s skin is like butter, so nice.
Black don't crack and yellow don't mellow
That is our natural splendor until about 60 when we fall apart and look 80.

I LOVE your videos and the fact that you are going to let your products speak for themselves and not push them on people definitely makes me want to try them.😊
The fact that he tells you that you don’t have to use his products, makes me wanna buy them 😂

Your videos are great, but you should definitely change the way that u do the videos.. These kind of videos should be more attractive to watch, cause otherwise people would lost their concentration..
He is the best... I really appreciate that he suggest other brands and being honest
Yes ill too like him
I am 60 and have extremely dry skin. On my face at night I use 100% lanolin. Is this a good ingredient? Also in my 20s I had to take Accutane. I know it's a vit A product. All these years later, people are amazed when they find out how old I am, since I dont have any wrinkles on my face!! Do you think it could have been from my long ago Accutane(vitA)?

Agree!! I saw a dermatologist a few month ago and all she recommended was products that she made a commission on and they would have costed me over 300 dollars a month! Needless to say I'll never see her again and I spend days researching similar drugstore products and my skin is now flawless.

Hey, since I am thinking of starting a skin care routine, can u let me know what things you are using initially? Like are u using cleanser, toner, serum etc etc
@@priiu1606 depends. I have roseacea with dry and sensitive skin. I definitely can not use a toner.

Then at night: cleanse (same kind), toner, serum (I use one that has retinol in it at night), eye cream (with retinol), and then moisturizer (with retinol).
I only use retinol at NIGHT, because retinol can be a little harsh if used too much IMO. I like retinol products at night because that’s when you sleep and repair/recover
The way he speaks is very convincing .....

I am an Indian and growing up we weren't very well off. My mom made mixture of glycerin and rose water and that's all we used on our skin. All of 4 siblings never had skin issues. Witch Hazel makes a great toner & is great for acne too. It’s helped me greatly, I’ve used this as a toner for years & will never go back to store-bought toners with a list full of different ingredients, a lot I can’t even pronounce. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Is that Paul allen skincare?
This gentleman's video has REALLY put everything into place for me when it comes to "building a routine" which I knew NOTHING about before quarantine! :)
Thank you for the advice and sharing this beauty products tips. great content doc. Thank you so much!!

Hi Dr. I have listened to your am skin care routine and it makes sense. I have rosacea which is now only centered around my nose, but frequently bothers me. I have bought Cerave face wash and moisturizer plus their brand of Retinol. I have to say in a week or so my skin is doing well, actually smooth and glowing instead of dead and lifeless. The only question I have is my nose rosacea is breaking out like a wild man. I am avoiding putting any products on my nose, but just my face. I don't know if Cerave is irritating for rosacea patients but I think it should not irritate. Anyway thanks for the skincare routine. I never wash my face but I do try to moisturize occasionally. I am 72 and have given up pretty much on having good skin again.
Thanks Dr, really appreciate this video. The skin care struggles are real for sure.
Simple, nice and clear instructions.
Thanks doc. So helpful. Thanks for breaking it down too. As a man, I think I’m horrendous with my skin
Thank you so much, Dr Youn, for offering these beautiful and useful advices for free and in such a pleasant manner!
1. Cleanse
Oily skin: Foaming Cleanser
2.Toner
Note: avoid alcohol base
Use the right type of toner (re-establish the ph of the skin)
I used bar soap cause I'm currently exfoliating and can't find a foaming cleanser that doesn't contain acids 😐
3. Apply Antioxidants (Vit C/E Combo)
Purpose: protects your skin from free radicals and oxidation process
-if you can't find the combo, look for vit c.
4.Eye Crean - minor amount of retinol
5. Sunscreen - SPF 30 or more.
With Avol Benzone to diminish the whitish hue look
Uhmm, what about moisturizer? 😐
I was thinking the same thing, bro
I use dark vinegar with water to rinse my face. MY grandmother always used Dove moisturizer soap ever since I was little. and I been using this for ten years. my moisturizer of choice is either Ambi skin tone cream or Vitamin E cream.
Wow youre so calming
My money: I'm not even here, baby I'm a hallucination

I watched this two weeks ago and started following the routine. My skin has never felt or looked more even and I use less products overall, so i produce less waste and don't spend as much money. Thank you Dr. Youn!
Can you please list what products you used 😭
@@AlexisGonzalez-mp3dx Sure thing! What products I use has changed over time, mostly based on their availability in my rural European drug store.
Cleanser:
1. La-roche posay effaclar foaming cleanser (worked well, but pricey so i switched)
2. sebamed face cleansing bar (worked well, not always available where I live)
3. neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel (probably my favorite)
Toner - I skip this one. I used to use one by La-roche posay but never noticed an effect.
Vit C/E
1. Catrice glow booster serum (contains vit c,e among other ingredients, worked well for me and was affordable, but it is no longer available where I live)
2. Florence Organic Vit C, E Serum (a bit pricey, but good quantity and quality)
Eye Cream
This one I have switched around a lot.
I didn't like any of the eye creams I tried, but I've found that my skin responds really well to the neutrogena hydro boost water gel, and I use that all over my face.
Sunscreen - haven't found a favorite yet, a decent one for my skin has been la-roche posay's anthelios fluid, but it's first sticky and then drying, so I'm still searching.
I'll add that I use three more products: A powdered skin clay that I mix into my cleanser once a week to exfoliate, and a Benzoyl peroxide
spot treatment cream for when I get hormonal acne breakouts.
At night I use a retinol cream by Daytox (may only be available in Europe), based on Dr. Youns's night routine video.
Overall I still stick to the steps from this video, and my skin looks much better than ever. Even when my hormonal acne acts up it's over much faster, it's less severe and my overall complexion still looks really good. I don't even feel self conscious about my pimples when I get them. My skin always feels hydrated and healthy.
I'd say what products/brands you use doesn't matter as much as the ingredients and whether it's financially sustainable to use them, so I can only encourage you to do as I did and try out different things, use what you have to begin with and see what your skin responds to. Good luck!
I use his products. I absolutely love them!
I do about 6 steps! It does take me about 15 minutes to do my routine. Then repeat @ night! + a facial every 2 weeks with a monthly dermaplane. I'm liking the results tho. Going for the Korean Glass Skin look. ❤️. I'm giving it 6 months to be superb. I'm on month 2, wish me luck
Could you tell me the no of minutes to take between the toners and serums and moisturiser
