  • Carlube AdBlue 10 Litre: amzn.to/32eQSPj
It's time for Roger to top up his AdBlue on the Vivaro, but where should he be buying his stock from?
What is AdBlue and how does it work? find out at Carbuyer
    www.carbuyer.c...
AdBlue is becoming increasingly common on diesel cars and is a fluid made up of a mix of urea and deionized water which is squirted into the exhaust system, helping to reduce nitrous oxide emissions produced by diesel engines. With car manufacturers having to adhere to ever more stringent emissions targets, AdBlue is vital to make sure diesel cars pass tests and produce less harmful pollution.

I changed car from diesel to petrol and still had five litres of AdBlue with nowhere to use it. Knowing it was urea in water, basically piss-and same as the nitrogen green up in grass treatments I treated the lawn to a dressing. Burned brown in an hour. Guess it should have been diluted. Reseeded and the new grass was up in two weeks and has needed a cut every fortnight since. It’s very green.

Far better money saving advice than the government directive schist on the radio, wash your clothes at 30 degrees to save 20 quid a year ( but spend triple that buying Dettol laundry jollop to get rid of the bugs), or turn rads off in unused rooms to save 50 quid a year ( ignoring thermal losses to cold internal rooms via uninsulated walls).

Worst I've seen was a little garage out in the sticks of Norfolk. They wanted £22.99 for 5L of AdBlue. As I still had ~500 miles before it would refuse to start I decided to carry on and try to find something cheaper. Like vintage wine or something...

    ( Australia). Hi, they stated with 10 litres container $45 ( $4.50 p/ltr)
Now on some Pumps for $0.80c p/ltr.
More and more petrol stations are having it on pump..

I reckon it will happen here but the pump is expensive to install and they will only do it when they see the bottle sales drop.

I noticed today that they also sell it in Travis. No surprise as Toolstation is part of the TP group.

I've been told/recommended only to buy the "Ford" AdBlue for my transit - it is possible that not all AdBues are equal - warning - don't want a major engine failure buying cheap Adblue - it is worth the risk.
