This takes me back to Midnight Star.... I had my doubts until he layered the standard 808 sound on top... That came together really well. Brilliant!

He’s one of the earliest hip hop artists I heard, “My Beat Goes Boom”,”Egypt Egypt” . Definitely a west coast pioneer along with Ice T ,Uncle Jams Army .

At the age of 12 in 1989, i started to collect wax. This man, afrika (who later became the biggest disappointment in my life), the movies Breakin and breakin 2, my parents who played disco , my grandfather who bought me all my amazing 80s hip hop albums even if he didn't understand why I liked it but enjoyed me enjoying playing them as well as break dancing, made me the person/dj I am today still playing to the kids but not necessarily that music but jungle which to me comes from the path they made. Thanks for a like of breaks and bass, you pioneers have made the world a better place whether others believe so or not.
